Thanks @Gerda Arendt: Was nice to be reminded of more productive times right about now. Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:44, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated the article for Linda Sarsour, the controversial activist, for GA. Would you be interested in reviewing it?MagicatthemovieS (talk)MagicatthrmovieS

Sorry @MagicatthemovieS: I find myself in the eye of a hurricane right now. It seems like an interesting article, so if no-one else jumps on your review after my ANI discussion has closed, I'll take it. Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:56, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Have you escaped from the eye of the storm over the past two weeks?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 04:15, 2 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Heaven Upside Down Tour poster

[edit]

You sure? I didn't really check for that tour. -Red marquis (talk) 05:50, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, nice Rasputina lyric up there ^ -Red marquis (talk) 05:51, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm fairly sure, @Red marquis: I was only able to catch him once that entire tour, but the marquee outside had a variant of the Heaven Upside Down cover. And then there's all the official tour posters and merch, as well as the tour date announcements on various websites, which all used that same image. So I've just assumed the HUD tour used that image in the same way that The Hell Not Hallelujah Tour used that picture of Manson sitting on a throne. Advice needed

[edit]

Hi Homeostasis07. How are you doing? I've been working on the visual novel character Shirou Emiya and I'm not too sure if the reception section is organized well. To make it short, since the visual novel Fate/stay Night has three routes, Shirou's development and relationships are different in each route. As a result I had to divide the reception per each route (and spinoff shows) resulting in a big section. Also, when this article was copyedited, the user in charge of it removed a commentary between two writers in which they analyze the romantic interactions he has. You can find it in the talk page. Still, nice work with Jill's article. Are you aiming to improve other Resident Evil articles by the way? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 00:59, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey @Tintor2: I've only managed to spend about 20 minutes reading the 'Appearances' section, which seems quite long and complicated/hard to understand. Fate/stay_night#Story actually has an 'Expansion needed' tag, so have you thought about adding the more story-related details there, and instead using Shirou's article to focus on only his story? That may help trim the article down in size. And I don't really understand why Baffle gab1978 removed the text the way he did. On the one hand, it seems to be a copyvio issue, on the other, they just removed it for the sake of trimming the article down. I'll try and see what the problem was over the next few days. And as far as RE articles go, the irony of people complaining so fervently about sexism on Jill Valentine is that I'm unlikely to ever touch an article about a female video game character ever again. Ada Wong is actually my favourite character from the entire series, but no way in hell am I doing all this again. So maybe Chris, Leon or Wesker next time. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:55, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Update: Did some trimming. If possible could you tell me what parts in need of trimming? Don't let other people's comments affect the articles you are editing. I tried trimming some parts from the appearances section, but the character does go through three different stages in each route so I'm not sure what to do since I never edited a character from a visual novel. Also where do you think the the removed text from the talk page should situated if it's possible? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 17:06, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry @Tintor2: I'd hoped to respond to you tonight, but another one of my projects took longer than planned. I like your changes (it's a lot easier to read now). I'll try and copy-edit the article tomorrow. And I think the quotes could work well in 'Creation and conception', if you could find the right place for them. Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:55, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries but thanks as usual for lending me a hand.Tintor2 (talk) 15:45, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No problem @Tintor2: This is taking a bit longer than before, because... well, I shouldn't really be saying this on Wikipedia... but I've downloaded a "bootleg" English anthology of the entire Fate series, so I'm reading that as I edit the article. Now I realise why you've had such a hard time with this project: it's massive!! But I'm trying my best to digest the whole thing before I edit, but I've only managed to get up to the intro of the 'Appearances' section so far. Tomorrow might be a slow day at my (real life) work, so I might have an hour or two to digest the entire "routes" sections you've been asking about. Of course, if you don't like my interpretation of events, please re-write them if you want. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:25, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry. Real life always comes first. Take care. By the way, changing subjects, have ever beaten Resident Evil Code Veronica? I always end up losing all my stuff when reaching Chris' campaign. I guess I got more used to the more action-like games from the franchise.Tintor2 (talk) 15:24, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey. I've re-written the first four parts of the 'Appearances' section. What do you think? I'm sure my interpretation of key events in the series is way off, so feel free to re-write anything you don't like the look of. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:22, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, sorry for the delay @Tintor2: My re-write of the Fate/hollow ataraxia section required a bit of astrophysics research. ;) The plot is insanely complicated! But I'm finished with the article now, what do you think of it? And I'm afraid I never played Code Veronica. I hated RE3 so much that I opted not to purchase any of the PS2-era RE games. I settled for the Legacy of Kain series instead. Speaking of, I must see what I can do with Kain and Raziel. Probably my next projects. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:38, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worr. Thanks for the editing.Tintor2 (talk) 19:26, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

How are you? Are you ready to handle the Linda Sarsour article?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 02:01, 4 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

@MagicatthemovieS: Yeah. The question is: are you? I ask because I've seen from the article's history that there's quite a massive dispute about anti-semitism—a dispute which seems to have spilled over from a more general argument about the entire Israel/Palestine conflict. As nominator/reviewer, we're both bound to get quite a bit of that hostility directed at our talk pages. I'm fairly battle-scarred, so I'd have no problem dealing with that hostility, especially since I'd be able to point out that I'd reviewed her article based on the GA criteria alone. But you, as nominator, might have a harder time. So is this something you'd be prepared to deal with? I've already read the article and a bunch of its sources, so I'm up for reviewing if you're up for dealing with the potential aftermath—i.e., a multitude of hostile talk-page protestations about Linda Sarsour being promoted to GA. But I'm game if you are. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:08, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm game!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 02:11, 4 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
Thanks so much for your help! Is the article pass-able now?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 22:40, 5 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
Done. Congratulations. Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:31, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Within the next few weeks, I'm planning to elevate the article for painter Mark Ryden to GA status. Ryden deals with a lot of the same themes that Marilyn Manson does - blasphemy, horror, and surrealism. Would you be interested in helping me?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 02:28, 6 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
Sorry. I've got some of my own projects that I've been working on for – what feels like – far too long. It feels like I've been doing this for bloody years, when I only (really) started that project last November. I'd like to at least get that one done before I start working on anything else. Good luck with Ryden, though. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:32, 6 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rescuing sources

[edit]

I see a lot of editors using some sort of tool that allows them to fix citations in an article en masse, whether it be archiving them, adding access dates, or properly formatting them. How can I start doing this? Wikieditor19920 (talk) 18:27, 7 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Wikieditor19920: I don't know about adding access dates or formatting references (I did those to Linda Sarsour manually), but if you want to add an archive-url to ever reference, click on an article's 'View history' tab. You should see "Fix dead links" up in the top right corner. Click on that, and log in using your Wikipedia username/password. Enter the name of the article you wish to archive, and don't forget to add a check to the "Add archives to all non-dead references (Optional)" box. The bot's buggy, and takes several minutes to start doing anything, but more often than not it works. Hope this helps. Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:27, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

I'm working on Marilyn Manson's Dead to the World Tour. Do you know where I can find free primary source information from Anchorage Alaska on their March 4, 1997 concert, the resolution passed by the Anchorage Assembly and the attempt by parent groups to buy up all the tickets? I can't seem to find old newspaper archives from Alaska without having to go through a paywall. It's like all old newspaper info from Alaska has been bought up by Newsbank or NewspaperArchives and they all want to charge extortionist prices. Ughhh. -Red marquis (talk) 10:18, 8 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry @Red marquis: All I could really find was this MTV source. Here's a Spin article mentioning – in passing – Alaska, but focusing more on the general "child abuse, sex, animal cruelty, etc." hysteria. I couldn't find any newspaper sources. If you post links to what you've found, I'd be happy to see if I could access them for you, then I could e-mail you screen-grabs. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:35, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Here's what I got: http://www.newslibrary.com/sites/adnnp/ -Red marquis (talk) 08:36, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Damn. I hoped I'd be able to use a VPN (an Alaska IP) to get around their paywall and grab screenshots, but they don't even let you open the damn things without paying for them. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Homeostasis07 (talk) 18:07, 9 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It's ok. I'll figure out a work around. BTW, I found another review for TGAOG. It's from the Dallas Observer. You can find the link in the article's talk page. -Red marquis (talk) 00:05, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HELP

[edit]

My sandbox for the Dead to the World Tour article is being threatened for deletion. Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Red marquis/sandbox/Dead to the World Tour sandbox. I need all of that material to work on the article. They're claiming I'm using it as a free host. Please help. I've spent a good part of more than a month compiling all that information so I could rework and hone it into encyclopedic material fit for the article. I don't know who else to turn to. -Red marquis (talk) 19:07, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Responded there. I wouldn't worry too much. I doubt there'd be consensus for outright deletion, probably just a redirect, if anything, so you'd still be able to see your work in the edit history. The only thing that concerns me is that I've noticed my Jill Valentine troll acting as the closing admin in a bunch of those deletion discussions, so I suspect they'd see my name and act maliciously. Have you thought about saving your sandbox to a word document, just in case? ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 20:23, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm planning to move it elsewhere. But right now I'm at work. I don't have access to my PC right now. I hope they don't delete the page before I get home. Goddamn it this shit is stressing me out right now. They've already deleted my sandbox for the Mechanical Animals tour article. How am I gonna find the info I added there again? I just stumbled on those while researching DTTW. I didn't know this is how Wikipedia treats their contributors. Why me? Why now? After so much work done and so much time spent on research. -Red marquis (talk) 20:34, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've saved it for you. I can e-mail it to you if it's deleted. Do you have a link to the discussion about your MA Tour sandbox? I'm curious. I see there was no discussion. Homeostasis07 (talk) 21:35, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Right here: User talk:Red marquis/sandbox/Mechanical Animals Tour sandbox. They didn't even discuss it. I'm home. I've saved DTTW on my notepad but its useless anyway if I don't have a wiki environment to work on so I can check that everything - every source, every paragraph, etc. - is coming along as intended. -Red marquis (talk) 21:54, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I think the "issue" some people are having is that you've copied articles and pasted them on your sandbox. I wouldn't do that. ;) Maybe save those sources to a notepad or something, and then paraphrase before saving to Wiki? Homeostasis07 (talk) 22:25, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
True enough. But I delete those articles the moment I've harvested the information I need: people, places, time, events, etc. I also need a one stop shop where I could work. Having multiple notepads doesn't help me with that. -Red marquis (talk) 22:36, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Whenever I find a source – or multiple sources – that I consider a goldmine, what I tend to do is copy individual paragraphs from the article into my sandbox, but then continually hit "Show preview" while I'm rephrasing that paragraph before I click on "Publish changes". That way I can check the formatting to make sure everything looks OK, but it's also a good way of distancing yourself from what you've just written: you can see what others will be seeing before anyone else has a chance to see it, if that makes sense. If you find a source you don't have time to rework yet, I'd just save the URL into a notepad on your desktop. That way, no one can bitch about copyright violations. Only problem there is that you might end up with about 20 notepads worth of URLs and text that you've not been able to get around to using because you've been too busy dealing with a troll for 6 fucking months. But, you get the idea. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 23:05, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
👍 Sounds like you've been dealing with much worse. -Red marquis (talk) 23:25, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia can grind you down, if you let it. It's indicative of this website's downfall that some of the most aggressive, argumentative, and downright nastiest users I've ever come across have been administrators. I've seen many a good editor get frustrated and give up, or simply badgered into never editing again. Those miserable people may be in a supposed position of authority, but they don't own this website. Always find a work-around. Don't let them distract you from whatever it is you want to do. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 23:40, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
That asshole finally deleted my sandbox. -Red marquis (talk) 16:00, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely disgusting. He didn't like the way that discussion was going, so he's done something else. I have the draft saved on my desktop, so if it is deleted, I'll make DTTW my next project. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 17:02, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know where I may be able to find a free wiki environment I can work on? Maybe there's a free downloadable software that mimics the way wikis work? -Red marquis (talk) 18:36, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't personally aware of any program/site that did this sort of thing, but I see RhinosF1 posted a link to some sort of offline Wiki editor on your talk page. I genuinely believed sandboxes/draft pages were specific pages where editors could be work in peace, perfecting their work before posting to mainspace. Obviously not. I really hope you don't retire from Wikipedia again because of this. The guy definitely could've handled things better, but underneath it all I think he just had issues with copying text from another website onto Wikipedia. The offline editor might be exactly what you're looking for. ;) I'd like to take this opportunity to commend you for your work! The amount of research and detail in your draft is unreal, and you're definitely on your way to another FA with this project! I hope you find a way to continue. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:15, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I thought the same thing about sandboxes too. I was obviously also wrong about that. I tried the link he gave me and, while I appreciate the gesture, I have no idea how to install it (the program is a .jar file which is just showing up as a blank file on my PC. I've no idea what program to open it with). I think I let everything building up to working on the article get the best of me. I forgot something that I learned about the editors/admins on this site a while back: most of them are lonely kids with no social life and very little in the way of social skills and I reacted poorly to that. I should have known better. It's ironic considering the underlying theme of the article I'm working on: baby boomer parents reacting poorly to kids from my generation (millenials). Most of them still are in their advancing age. Anyway, I thought DTTW would act as a keystone of sorts for this artist's career in that it would help me expand ACSS and it would inform the events leading up to the recording of (and subsequent reaction to) MA and the tours that followed. I'll see if I can figure out how to make that .jar file work. -Red marquis (talk) 05:04, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
LOL. Sad but true. Although I wouldn't assume that the most socially awkward editors are millenials. I seriously doubt my JV troll is a millenial... more like some 40/50 year old with no career or social life to speak of. I noticed them editing Wikipedia all through Christmas and New Year. I get that not everyone celebrates Xmas, but editing at literally one-minute-past-midnight on New Year (their local time)? Seriously. Get off your damn computer and go celebrate with some friends/family. Or even just stick your head out of your front door to wish a neighbour a happy new year. It'd probably be a much healthier use of your time than doing some minor clean-up on an article no-one's gonna read. I'd almost pity him, if he hadn't wasted 6 months of my and everyone else's time. But I digress. ;) It seems you can open a JAR file using JAVA, at least according to this. I have the latest version of Java installed on my computer, but I still can't get SoloWiki.jar to open using that program. I can open it using WinRar, but that just leads me to a bunch of .class files. I think the problem is the fact that the program hasn't been updated since 2011. It may be obsolete at this stage. Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:13, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, there's a newer version here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Red_marquis/sandbox/Dead_to_the_World_Tour_sandbox&oldid=882978828 . I tried gutting some of the contentious articles down to the basic infos and quotes that I needed so it didn't violate copyright standards before he just outright killed the sandbox. -Red marquis (talk) 18:39, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It's finally happened. My sandbox has been deleted. I'm gonna stop editing for a while. This whole experience has simply demolished the momentum and enthusiasm I had for this article. I've spent the past week wasting time looking for various offline wiki editors and figuring out how to install them. The best I found was BlueSpice but even that is such a hassle to use-I just don't have the time and patience to deal with it. I hope you were able to copy the last revision if you are still interested in taking it on. Let me know if there's anything you may need to work on it. I'm probably still going to do a few edits here and there so I'm still going to be around every now and again. For now, however, I'm out. -Red marquis (talk) 00:58, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
The user who deleted the draft was wrong to do so. They disregarded consensus and didn't wait for the copyvio team to investigate your draft. If you want to take this to Deletion review, which I strongly suggest, I'd be happy to have your back there. The deleter was clearly in the wrong. I wouldn't let this slide, if I were you. Things could suddenly turn around, and get very interesting in the process. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:38, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Here it is: Wikipedia:Deletion review/Log/2019 February 18. Lemme know if I filled it out wrong. -Red marquis (talk) 03:14, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I really shouldn't be on my phone writing this now. I took a sleeping pill about 30 mins ago, and, well, I'm having a pretty damn cool time right about now. I wouldn't say I feel "stoned" as such... But have you ever taken a sedative that makes you feel like you're going down a rollercoaster at high speed? And now my bed feels like its floating in the air or something. Quite trippy, and cool. ;) Anyways, what I wanted to say was good work on Dead to the World Tour. It's a pretty damn impressive article already, although I'm sure you're not even close to finished with it yet. I know I offered to take it over had you abandoned it, but it seriously would've taken me months to do what you did in 2 weeks. And all done in spite of being badgered at your own sandboxes. Ironic thing is, if those people hadn't complained, chances would be that everything they were complaining about would at this point already be removed. You should be commended for your continued work on this site. It's top notch stuff! And I wouldn't pay much attention to what Nick just said at the DR, about you needing a mentor. He seemed upset that the other user (djm-something?) had recently insinuated that there was a lot more to the article and its history than Nick - as deleter - should've been aware of before deleting, which seemed to offend him. He's lashing out because of that, so I wouldn't pay too much attention, to be honest. But I'm glad you got through the other side of this and decided to keep working. I'm pretty much finished with Antichrist Superstar, and was going to nominate it at FA back in January, but I'd love to see what you do with DTTWT, and maybe expand ACSS with what you're doing. I look forward to reading the finished article. Keep up the awesome work! Cheers, Homeostasis07 (talk) 04:26, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't look like things are going my way this time around. It's starting to look like consensus is building on keeping it deleted. I didn't take offense to the mentor thing. I admit I don't know everything. Yeah, I'm gonna try and work on the background section to open the article body to, at least, give the article some proper context. Otherwise, it'll just leave the reader scratching their heads as to why there was so much pushback and controversy surrounding the tour. So far as ACSS, I was planning to expand upon it after I finished with DTTW. I stumbled on quite a bit of information about it while researching DTTW. If you'd like to give the article a once over before nominating it for FA, I added the links to what I found in the talk page under "sources". I even found an article about the album artwork that interviewed the designer. So much gold there. -Red marquis (talk) 23:14, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I tried valium once. I didn't get anything memorable out of it. I just smoked a bowl of kush. -Red marquis (talk) 23:44, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Get yourself a Delayed sleep phase disorder diagnosis. Pharmaceutical companies are doing the most wonderful things with sleeping pills nowadays. ;) Apologies for getting you involved with Deletion Review. I made the mistake of assuming non-involved administrators would be able to look at the plain and simple facts and come to a logical conclusion. I should've known at this point that, without a genuine demotion facility for the truly incompetent, it's safe to assume that the most incompetent group of users on Wikipedia are in fact the administrators. In this case, they're just closing ranks and defending their "colleague". But DJM-leighpark provided a nice link to the deleted sandbox, and then there's this—a link to your deleted MA Tour sandbox. "Living Well Is the Best Revenge", and all that. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:29, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Great. Another one of my sandboxes just got deleted. This time I wasn't even notified-neither did the deleter point out what he considered copyvio. These vultures are just picking on me like I'm already a carcass. -Red marquis (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
*sigh* And it looks as though he's re-deleted the DTTW sandbox on principle, without bothering to check if the recreation contained any copyvio. This is beyond ridiculous. What was the other sandbox he deleted, BTW? Homeostasis07 (talk) 20:34, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This: User:Red marquis/sandbox/Mechanical Animals sandbox. I responded by copying the mainspace article instead so I can expand upon it without copyvio. Now he's tagged that for deletion as well without bothering to check. I'm sick and tired of this asshole HARASSING ME. Seems like he just happens to object to the subject matter. Is there anyway I can, within Wikipedia guidelines, retaliate? I'm done being nice. And yes, I was being. I want REVENGE against that piece of shit. I don't care if he or any of his little club of admins read this. And yes, they also deleted DTTW again. I followed the fucking rules this time. I did not port any material considered copyvio. -Red marquis (talk) 21:03, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hopefully things will calm down now. I guess it depends on how/when that deletion review is closed. I'm afraid I have no revenge tips, as much as I'd like to offer one right now (and as much as I'd have liked to use them myself over the last few months). All I can say is... karma's a bitch. Especially when someone with a good memory – such as mine – gets involved. They'll all be repaid ten-fold, eventually. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:17, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

GA review of Linda Sarour

[edit]

Hi Homeostasis07, I am reviewing the Linda Sarsour article for DYK for which it qualifies under your GA review. However, I have a question about your GA review for Linda Sarsour. Is it customary to promote an article as GA when it is constructed with such a large amount of lengthy quotes? Portions of it almost amount to "she said/she said". Are you sure about this?

@MagicatthemovieS: Courtesy pinging nominator as FYI.
--- Coffeeandcrumbs 09:31, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Coffeeandcrumbs: I ran the copyvio tool during my review, and none of those potential copyvio issues were present at time of promotion. History indicates several users who should know better have been arguing amongst themselves about random bits of prose at the talk page, with a common theme of adding direct quotations as a means of keeping the peace. I have no objection to doing that, generally, so long as it's done sparingly and the article doesn't become a WP:QUOTEFARM in the process. Magic, I'd suggest trying your best to paraphrase as many of the quotes as you can; I'm sure several of them can removed quite easily and uncontroversally. Homeostasis07 (talk) 19:52, 20 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Coffeeandcrumbs: I removed several quotes from the article. Are you satisfied with its current state?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 00:36, 21 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
I'm happy with your changes, @MagicatthemovieS: There are still quite a few quote marks on the article, but many of them are for random, non-paraphrase-able things like "Islamic purity culture", "Muslims for Ferguson", "100 Most Influential People", "fake news" and "fake feminist". Asking you to try and message these random quotes into prose would be impractical, IMO. Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:49, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Homeostasis07! Years ago I got the article for the infamous hoax "A Rape on Campus" to GA. I realize now that it's links were never archived! Would you kindly archive them for me? Thanks so much!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 23:11, 22 February 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Done. You know you can do this yourself, if you want to... Just follow the instructions I left in "Rescuing sources" above. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:58, 23 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I know you like 1990s rock, so would you be interesting in helping me get the article for Marcy Playground's "Sex and Candy" to become a GA? I'm about half-way done with it. We could tag-team it if you like.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 04:46, 5 March 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Sorry, I'm focusing on my own projects for the foreseeable future. I'll try to find more charts and any certifications for you, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to write any prose. Homeostasis07 (talk) 17:55, 5 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry again, but I couldn't find any additional chart positions or certs. All I could do was update the formatting. It looks like another cool article, so good luck with the GA! Homeostasis07 (talk) 23:52, 6 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits to "Sex and Candy" - are you able to review that article? I totally understand if you are busy. MagicatthemovieS (talk) 01:42, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but I'm being a bit self-serving at the moment. I've had 3 articles waiting at WP:GAN#ALBUM since last June, so I want to review some of the even-older nominations—helping to get mine up to the top of the list faster. Unless, of course, you want to help out by reviewing one of my articles? It really isn't that hard. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:16, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have decided to review one of the Roxette articles over the next few days 👍MagicatthemovieS (talk) 15:49, 8 March 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
Thanks. Would that be your first GA review? If you don't feel confident reviewing yet, then don't feel pressured into doing anything you don't want to do. I've been waiting since last June, so I don't mind waiting some more. If you do want to dip your toe into reviewing, I suppose Travelling (Roxette album) would be the better option: it's the shortest of my noms, so should be pretty easy. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 16:18, 8 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I have never reviewed an article, and I'm not confident I can review an article well, but say the word and I'll do it in a few days.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 19:29, 8 March 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
It's completely your decision. If you want to step into the reviewing side of GA, go for Travelling. My first GA review was a disaster (sometime around The Pale Emperor days—which was my first GA nom), but another user was there to guide me. So I'd happily guide you in return. It's cool if you don't want to... like I said, I've waited 7 months, so a few more weeks is nothing. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 02:16, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I just don't think I an cut out for reviewing articles...thank- you for being so gracious about this.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 03:56, 14 March 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Draft:Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies Tour

[edit]

Hey man, may I ask a favor? Could you review Draft:Twins of Evil: Hell Never Dies Tour so the article could finally be established? I think its finally ready to be a stub. TY -Red marquis (talk) 17:19, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, my laptop has pooped (responding on phone using neighbors WiFi), so I won't be able to make any big edits for the next while. But that article looks Start-class to me, not just a Stub. 20+ sources, all of which talk about the tour as its primary subject. You'd have no problems moving that draft to mainspace. Good luck with it. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 22:53, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Awww...sorry to hear about your laptop. I hope you can get it fixed soon. Wikipedia needs you. That's ok, i'll just wait for other reviewers. -Red marquis (talk) 03:03, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Probably just a busted battery... again. If that's the case, then I should be able to get it fixed on Monday. Could review the article then, if no one else does in the meantime. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 03:12, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the extended delay. It wasn't just the battery, but the adaptor as well. But all systems are up and running again. ;) Tried doing this the official way, but every single step I took was met with an error message. Plus, I didn't want to get bombarded with messages from people asking me to review their stuff, so I just moved the draft to mainspace. Homeostasis07 (talk) 23:28, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, man. I appreciate it. -Red marquis (talk) 06:13, 21 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Mazzy Star

[edit]

I am still not good with leaving these talk stuff (n00b); anyways I assumed there may be some pictures involved or something extra that I could not see, I guess that is it. I am a music fan in general, and was always curious who sells what where, so thanks for that Mazzy Star forum, weirdly it didn't cross my mind to look there. But in general here there are false figures with sources that don't cite anything so I was sceptical. In regards of Cat Power, I think I did see it. If you find something of hers, some newer sales updates, post it please, lol I feel like a junkie. But thanks for the clarification. Take care. Dhoffryn (talk) 11:52, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I understand, @Dhoffryn: I've removed more than my fair share of fake sales from Wikipedia. ;) I'm still having trouble accessing the cited source myself—the magazine is no longer available to read from the website I purchased it, and the customer service on that site is a joke. When I can finally access it, I'll re-add the cited figure with the specific page number. Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:24, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Dhoffryn: Hopefully the guys at the forum will be more help than LeKiosk's customer service. I'll re-add the figure once I can verify which page of Uncut the sales come from. Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:28, 1 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

On June 15th, I nominated Robert E. Lee on Traveller for DYK - I was wondering if you'd be kind enough to take a few minutes to review the nomination? That would be much appreciated.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 13:38, 19 June 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Sorry @MagicatthemovieS: I'm not very active on this website these days, and I'm not too familiar with DYK. Good luck with the nomination though. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 18:40, 21 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Cardigans singles

[edit]

Hey! Thanks for correcting the release date of Been It. Can you please add the charts to Your New Cuckoo? I tried but I couldn't insert them properly, would be much appreciated! DanWarpp (talk) 01:45, 24 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I was going to, @DanWarpp: but I see someone else beat me to it. I'll try and expand those articles with track listings soon—probably tomorrow... ;) Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:46, 25 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the adding track listings! I don't wanna bother you, but can you please add the charts to the Hercules (soundtrack)? either that or can you tell me where I can request for someone to add them? Like in WP:ALBUMS for example. Thanks again! DanWarpp (talk) 16:25, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DanWarpp: I've not been able to find any charting positions on mainland European and Australian/New Zealand charts, although Menken's version of "A Star Is Born" peaked within the Swedish Top 20. I'll try and see if the soundtrack appeared on any UK/Billboard charts tomorrow. Homeostasis07 (talk) 01:24, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@DanWarpp: Sorry for the delay. I've added everything I can to the 'Charts and certifications' section of the article. Also, it looks like the Sing-Along (EP) version debuted and peaked at #191 on the Billboard 200, while something called a "Read-Along" version of Hercules peaked at #1 on Billboard's Kid Albums, and was also certified gold by the RIAA for shipments of 500,000 units. I don't know what to do with any of the latter information, so I'll leave it in your capable hands. ;) And, yeah, I believe a high-profile/traffic page like the talk of WP:Albums would be a good bet if you ever need help with anything specific. I hope I've helped, in any case. Regards, Homeostasis07 (talk) 00:53, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You're the best, I'll see what I can do with the other information, many many thanks :D DanWarpp (talk) 01:12, 30 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It's been a while! I hope that you're doing well. I have begun to work on the article for the classic rock and roll tune "Return to Sender" in order to get it to GA. Would you like to collaborate with me on it? Thanks! MagicatthemovieS (talk) 22:26, 15 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, @MagicatthemovieS: It's a cool song, and you've done a great job with the article so far, but all my time on Wikipedia these next few months will be dedicated to Jill Valentine, ala this and any future FA nomination. Good luck with your project, though. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 00:34, 16 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I hope all goes well with you! If you ever want a break from the Jill Valentine article, you can always stop by another article I'm working on - "Running to the Edge of the World". :) MagicatthemovieS (talk) 02:04, 18 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
@MagicatthemovieS: Nice to see you still working on Manson stuff. ;) Along with Jill Valentine, I'm actually working on Heaven Upside Down (via my sandbox)—I intend to make that an FA someday too... and also have delusions of creating separate articles for every one of that album's songs. I'll hopefully be able to find some sources for you to use on Running...'s article, and will post whatever I find on its talk page. I'm afraid you'd need to do most of the heavy lifting, though. My time on Wikipedia is pretty limited these days, and I unfortunately have to spend a lot of my editing time focused solely on my own – messy – projects. Good luck with all your work, though. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 01:36, 19 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry. I couldn't find any source worth including that you've not already used on the article, or that I didn't use on parent album The High End of Low. The main thrust of that song's publication went: album reviews→video release→some more song reviews→widespread criticism of video→some more commentary of it being a beautiful song with a terrible music video. There's not much to be found online other than that narrative, which I believe you did a damn fine job of incorporating into the current version of the article. Should have a pretty solid chance of being promoted to GA as it currently is. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 01:02, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I did all of the heavy lifting, do you have any desire to rescue the sources or review the article? I totally understand if you're busy.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 15:49, 21 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
@MagicatthemovieS: Done and done. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 00:52, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Question - what's your take on the controversial video for "Running to the Edge of the World"?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 00:54, 22 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
@MagicatthemovieS: It's a gorgeously bittersweet song (probably my favorite track on the album), but I've never been a fan of the video to be honest. The first 4/5-minutes are pretty stupid, and all the stuff that comes after is probably supposed to be "shocking", but is even dumber than the first 4/5 minutes. Manson and Wood full-on decimating each other in typical Jonas Åkerlund-style would've been a hell of a lot cooler. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 01:15, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think that the video promotes misogynistic violence?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 01:19, 22 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
I believe it to be an expression of abject rage, and is indicative of Manson... well, as he says in the article, "This was when I went insane, for real." That description is apt: "Death and destruction" all around, including with his mother. As I learned when researching The Pale Emperor, Manson visited his mother in May 2009 – just before all those disastrous UK interviews – and her Alzheimer's disease had finally taken hold; she didn't recognize him. It had a huge impact on him psychologically, and he resorted to taking a crap load of drugs to cope. The whole tour was a disaster. "Running to the Edge of the World" was released at the end of 2009, so can be viewed as indicative of the mindset Manson had when it was released. You can interpret the video as promoting violence against women, if you so wish, but there's a truckload of context to consider when judging it in hindsight. Plus, I refuse to be part of Patricia Arquette's Twitter crusade. She claimed the video proved Manson was the abuser Wood was describing at those senate hearings... when Wood has said nothing but kind things about Manson since their breakup. The boyfriend she had immediately before Manson, on the other hand... =( Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 01:41, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you had to pick a favorite Manson track, what would it be?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 02:08, 22 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]
Impossible to say. His music throughout his discography has been so diverse. Uptempo stuff: probably "Cake and Sodomy", "1996" or "Born Again". Slowish stuff: "Great Big White World" or "Devour". Weird stuff: "Cryptorchid" or "15". What about you? Homeostasis07 (talk · contribs) 02:33, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I hate picking between them, but "Cryptorchid" and "Antichrist Superstar" are masterpieces.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 16:24, 22 August 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS[reply]

Deprecated parameters

[edit]

Hi. Do you know what deprecated parameters are and how I can rid articles of them?MagicatthemovieS (talk) 17:02, 7 September 2019 (UTC)MagicatthwmovieS[reply]

@MagicatthemovieS: What article are you referring to? You should know that one of the tech guys recently altered the cite web and cite journal (and a bunch of other) codes, which has resulted in reference errors on tens of thousands – if not hundreds of thousands – of Wikipedia articles; see this discussion for details. If the errors you're seeing are a result of that, then chances are they'll be fixed within a few days without you needing to do anything. ;) If they're pre-existing errors, please feel free to link the articles you're talking about, and I can have a look. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 21:49, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ahh, you were referring to all your GAs. Seriously, the tech guys should be able to sort the issues out pretty soon, and none of your articles can be demoted or anything because someone else messed some coding up. I wouldn't bother changing anything (literally: I'm leaving my featured articles the way they were... because this is currently Wikipedia's problem, not mine/ours). Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 22:05, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Image for infobox

[edit]

Hi there. I've been wondering about the image for Kyo Kusanagi and wondered if you could give me an advice. You see, in his first appearances Kyo always wears a high school uniform which is shown in the article but ever since '99, the artists of SNK tried giving him new outfits. The one featured in the infobox happens to be the latest one (XIV) which is mentioned in the article but I don't know what's more important for the infobox. You think I should exchange the images' places to focus first on his original incarnation similar to Jill Valentine's article? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 23:35, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: That's completely up to you. If I focused on the Jill Valentine outfit which received the most attention, I'd probably end up putting her RE3: Nemesis outfit in the infobox. But I think it's better to first highlight a character's original appearance (or perhaps the one most people would be familiar with?). I've never played The King of Fighters, so I don't know which one most players would be familiar with. But both KyoKusanagiXIV.png and KyoKusanagi95.jpg look pretty cool, so trust your instincts! Whichever you prefer. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 00:45, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the advice. I had this thing wondering when a user suggested changing Terry Bogard's collection image in favor to his more recognizable look when he became DLC in Smash.Tintor2 (talk) 01:05, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article keeps becoming huge

[edit]

The more I look around in regards to stuff involving SNK, the more I find commentary in regards to Kyo Kusanagi's creation and reception. As a result, the article has been expanded a lot in the last years. I don't plan to make it FA, but I wonder if it needs some fixes to remain as a GA. I tried trimming the appearances section as much as possible but I don't know what else needs fixes considering the article surpassed 100, kb. Be bold if you want though. Cheers. Tintor2 (talk) 23:31, 21 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Tintor2: I think your edits have only helped solidify its GA status. ;) I've had a quick read-through and there was nothing I felt needed immediate changing. I'll be able to have a more thorough look once my current FA is resolved. But I can't see the size becoming an issue. One of my own GAs – won't link, because I know trolls are watching – currently exceeds over 250kb, so I doubt Kusanagi's 109kb is much of a problem for anyone. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 00:16, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations with Jill Valentine's article :D You have done an amazing work. There are few FA characters so hopefully this will be used as the basis for users. By the way, I recently nominated the article The King of Fighters XI to GA. Feel free to give it a look. I'm not that skilled with a normal game article. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 01:15, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Tintor2: ;) As much as I'd like to see other video game character articles becoming featured articles, I seriously doubt that's going to happen again in the near future. Not because there's anything inherently difficult in writing those types of articles, but because of the type of "reviewers" they tend to attract during the FAC process. Plus, Jill Valentine in its current format doesn't exactly match the Manual of Style for Video Game Characters, so I'd hate to be a noob looking at all of this for the first time. But those are Wikipedia's problems at this point, not mine. =) I'll have a look at your GA nomination – and Kyo Kusanagi – over the next few days. ;)
About Kyo, I tried using a certain comparison pic similar to the one you used in Jill's RE3 image but I don't know if the two should be combined.Tintor2 (talk) 18:26, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for the review. The assitance with certain parts of the prose was needed due to my inexperience. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 02:11, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries @Tintor2: I was happy to help. But you're not "inexperienced", I just sometimes find it quicker/easier to do things myself. I'm a bit particular on how I like things to be phrased, and since I'm the one complaining about it in the first place, it's far easier for everyone if I just edit and publish my own changes, rather than edit/preview and tell someone else how to write it, if that makes sense. ;) And sorry for how long it has taken me to get to Kyo's article. I need to save the article for a band I really love from deletion ASAP, but will get to Kyo once that's done. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 23:20, 30 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No need to worry. I think there is enough coverage about Kyo so I am not thinking of editing iit until snk reveals info about xv.

Just saying hello. I think I did enough expansion for Jin Kazama. There was some scholars commentaries so I decided adding them. Jin's article is not as big as Kyo's but it sure became the biggest Tekken article with 150 sources. Now I'm trying to expand the article Ryu (Street Fighter). Guess I'm into expanding famous fighter characters but Ryu's article sure feels small when you compare it with Chun-Li. Sadly, the editor who expanded Chun-Li a lot was blocked so I can't asked for his help. I asked in reddit for a possible source since thanks to them I learned that Terry Bogard was originally meant to be a Street Fighter character as said in an artbook.Tintor2 (talk) 17:37, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

So RE3 Nemesis' remake was leaked. Looks like next year you might have to expand a bit Jill's redesign. It reminds to what I did with most Devil May Cry characters since they DMC5 used the same engine as the latest Resident Evil games.Tintor2 (talk) 22:13, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the tip about the Nemesis HD leak @Tintor2: I assumed Capcom would bow to the pressure, so am glad to see that Jill's redesign features a reinterpretation of her original outfit, rather than a completely new one. I'll keep an eye out on the reception for this version of the character. And you may have noticed that I've [FINALLY] been able to edit Kyo's article. You may have already noticed, but it takes me a hell of a long time to do anything on this site nowadays. I should be able to finish my work on the article ('Cultural impact' and lead) by the end of the weekend. Of course, feel free to revert anything you don't like. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 01:17, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry about Kyo's article. It might get tiring considering its size. Your editing is good but I only wondered if there was something really wrong about the article. Last weeks, I was more into just expanding notable articles similar to what I did with the protagonists from Tekken or Ryu from Street Fighter. Still, thanks for giving it a look. The only possible GA I have in mind is a game article.Tintor2 (talk) 01:35, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Tintor2: I've finished my work on Kyo's article. Should easily stand up to a GA review if that ever happens. Good luck with all your numerous projects. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 01:54, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot. For now I only plan on Jin considering I recently found more sources about his making. Do you also plan to nominate something to GA?Tintor2 (talk) 11:51, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Btw, I think I'll try to make both Jin Kazama and Heihachi Mishima GA similar to to that time I tried making the Devil May Cry GA. You also plan to improve other Resident Evil characters GAs?Tintor2 (talk) 17:51, 10 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. One character article was enough for me. ;) I've a couple of nominations at GA currently, and plan to retire from this site after those are resolved. Good luck with all your articles. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 02:39, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There's a new appearance of Jill in the trailer of Resident Evil 3 Remake and the character design is here [1], it's time to update infobox image. 106.165.208.235 (talk)

That's not an acceptable source for uploading an image from, but I'll see what I can do... eventually. Life's too short to be complaining about infobox images, though. Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 02:40, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This one though [2]. 106.240.153.26 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 03:05, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I went bold and reverted it since now the article has three depictions of Jill's Nemesis look and started a discussion for that. Maybe it would be really good for the article's coverage and balance to find commentary about her 5 look and add it to the article instead rather than another Nemesis image. Then again feel free to discuss or revert.Tintor2 (talk) 19:23, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if you are aware but there is a discussion in Jill's article about what image we should use due to the recent reveal By the way, after making a clean up to Jin Kazama, I had it copyedited by the guild and nominated it. I tried trimming the inuniverse information as much as possible. If have the time to review it, I would appreciate it. If you are nominating something else to GA, I could review and thus exchange reviews? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 22:14, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, this is the worst time of the year to be asking for a review. If no-one else does, I'd be able to review the article after the new year. I have a couple of album nominations waiting to be reviewed myself (#'s 11 and 15, currently), but I see the WikiCup is ongoing, so it shouldn't be too long before both of them are picked up anyways... hopefully. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 22:42, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I am kind of selfish considering you helped me with Kyo's article though so take care. I'll see if the prose can be rechecked again.Tintor2 (talk) 23:27, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't consider you selfish in the slightest. It's just... Christmas (and the run-up to) is a pain in the ass for a variety of real-life reasons. ;) So I won't be in any kind of mind-set to do anything productive on Wikipedia from now until at least December 28. But that's usually the point when people I don't like finally bugger off, and then I need until at least January 3 to recover from the whole experience. Hopefully your holiday period isn't as vomit-inducing as mine. =( Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 02:42, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jill Valentine scheduled for TFA

[edit]

This is to let you know that the Jill Valentine article has been scheduled as today's featured article for January 19, 2020. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 19, 2020, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.

For Featured Articles promoted on or after October 1, 2018, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.

We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 10:11, 13 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Review trade?

[edit]

Hey man, hope your holidays are going well. Noticed you've got two articles up for GAN. I've got two up as well, one of which has been there for a few months. Getting a bit over waiting for a reviewer; any chance you'd feel up to trading reviews for one or both? No worries if you're busy. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 01:19, 28 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a plan! ;) I was just gonna respond here saying I could get to it after the new year, but got to reading Bobby Bostic and became fascinated by the subject matter. I'm starting my review of that now—although there really isn't much to review. I've read the whole thing and a few of the sources and couldn't see anything substantial to complain about, so I'll have another read through to see if there's anything piddly I could complain about. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 23:16, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Damien Linnane: I probably won't be onsite again until at least Jan 3, so feel free to take your time. ;) In all fairness, both your nominations combined (26kb+15kb=41kb) don't come close to either of my nominations (at least 60kb), so this wouldn't be a fair trade (plus, I owe you for reviewing all those Manson album articles a lifetime ago). One of your nominations was clearly a worthy cause, and I look forward to seeing it on the main page soon. I was happy to help. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 02:21, 31 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for your prompt reviews. Well I was more than happy to review one in return anyway, especially since it was so well written already and accordingly easy to promote. :) Damien Linnane (talk) 09:40, 1 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot for the review. Glad we could help each other out. ;) Homeostasis07 (talk/contributions) 00:11, 4 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
