Robot

[edit]

I see you made an edit to WP:Robot, Nukeless...please continue to make any changes you like. However, I will have to make some changes because it doesn't conform to the Manual of Style, and you broke the link. WP:Robots is one of the pages that we're trying to keep "pretty" so that we can get Featured Article status someday. Just a suggestion, this isn't required or even standard, but it might be easier for you to add content to robots.wikia.com first, and then move it to WP:Robots when we have checked it out. — Dan Dank55 (talk) 16:00, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not going to change the page again, it includes information about this relevant and important world event (iREX). Yes and I can do the future changes in the robot Wikia (but I don´t see any link to it in the external links; it would be there)--Nukeless 06:52, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Sustainable energy organisations, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Sustainable energy organisations has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Sustainable energy organisations, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. A tag has been placed on Coulomb Technologies, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Coulomb Technologies and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. , mac Mion (talk) 13:24, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Petroleum fuel engine

[edit]

I've pointed this at Petrol engine rather than Petroleum. Seemed more appropriate. I'm a little surprised at your choice of redirect. --Tagishsimon (talk) 10:08, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is different. Gasoline (also called petrol, but not petroleum) is a petroleum fuel. Also diesel is a petroleum fuel. So, gasoline (petrol) and diesel engines are petroleum (not only petrol) fuel engines. This is because petroleum also includes diesel, not only petrol (gasoline). --Nukeless 10:14, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Climate change in Idaho

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Climate change in Idaho, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Flex fuel vehicles

[edit]

Hi there. You did very constructive edits on the article indeed, but this is to let you know why I did a couple of partial reverts. First, the Fiat vehicle is called Tetra, and the explanation is given in the source, so changing it to tri-fuel is your WP:OR, even if you are right (you need a WP:RS to support this change). Second, before I did the re-write of the leading, I did explain in the Talk page that following wiki policy the most common term in English for flexible-fuel vehicles refers to ethanol flex vehicles, and it should prevail over the more technical definition (though I kept the technical def for any fuel). That is why that explanation belongs to the leading and not to a separate section as you did. Notice that the current content in the article refers to E85 and Brazilian full flex only, as reflection of the common use of the term. If you follow the links in terminology regarding bi-fuels you will see that there are other articles talking about hydrogen or natural gas vehicles. Please go to the proper section in the Talk page, and let's discuss this issue there with other contributing editors. --Mariordo (talk) 02:00, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I try to do it as much constructive as possible. I saw the use of different concentrations from the same fuel are not different fuels (E100 and E25). One could change "In 2006 FIAT introduced the Fiat Siena Tetra fuel, a four-fuel car developed under Magneti Marelli of Fiat Brazil.[8] This automobile can run on 100% ethanol, E25 (Brazil's normal ethanol gasoline blend), pure gasoline (not available in Brazil), and natural " to "In 2006 FIAT introduced the Fiat Siena Tetra fuel, a flexieble fuel car developed..." or simply "In 2006 FIAT introduced the Fiat Siena Tetra fuel, a car developed...".Reference to ethanol as main technology is in the leading. But the rest of the explanations are in a concrete sections. A topic to discuss: can one call biodiesel certified vehicles as flexible fuel ?. Why or why not ?. --Nukeless 08:36, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Plagiarism

[edit]

Hi,

As the bulk of your edits seem to involve heavy plagiarism from US government sites and other wikis, please ensure that you read WP:Plagiarism, and in particular, the section on attributing the source of the material. In the future, when verbatim copying material, please take care to mention the source in your edit summaries, and if this forms the bulk of an article (e.g. Climate change in Idaho), then also use an attribution template.

In fact, on the subject of edit summaries, I've noticed that you very rarely use them. Not filling it in is considered bad practice; please read WP:ES.

Best regards, Oli Filth(talk|contribs) 08:26, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism ?. I think you don´t know what is plagiarism. Resources in the public domain (as United States Federal Goverment works) are in the public domain. You confuse private works with the public domain, public domain that anyone can use. On the other hand, are you a Linux user ?. I am a Linux user too.--Nukeless 08:29, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
On the contrary, I don't think you've read the guideline I pointed you at above, as in the second sentence it says "The copyright status of the work is irrelevant; directly copying a public-domain work is still plagiarism unless the original work is noted.".
And yes, at home, I'm a Linux user. Regards, Oli Filth(talk|contribs) 08:33, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello again. I see you have just created another article without an indication of attribution, and are continuing to make many edits, none of which have edit summaries. I would strongly encourage you to stop editing so fast, and to spend a little more time reading up on standard Wikipedia editing practices, as continuing to ignore the guidelines (especially when you've been specifically informed about them) could eventually lead to more serious repercussions. Regards, Oli Filth(talk|contribs) 11:46, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This idea about plagiarism is very original. Plagiarism is the unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one's own original work. Because is not my original work (it is released under GFDL/public domain license, without my copyright), I personally atribute nothing. In any case, there is not problem about include a reference to the original website, because this text in the public domain is not mine nor owned by anyone else. --Nukeless 12:56, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
If you wish to contribute to Wikipedia, I'm afraid you have to comply with the Wiki guidelines, even if you don't agree with them. Issues to do with copyright, licensing, attribution, etc. are taken very seriously, and every effort should be taken to ensure that the standard practices are adhered to. Providing a reference is not enough, as this doesn't indicate that the precise wording has been taken from that source (i.e. it's indistinguishable from any other reference). It doesn't take a lot of effort to comply with this particular guideline, so please do so in the future! Oli Filth(talk|contribs) 13:18, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of ESolar

A tag has been placed on ESolar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on SolarPower Europe Association requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.aalep.eu/solarpower-europe. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
