Unfortunately that account has personal info associated with it that would make using it unwise for emotional current events editing. No problem. Yes, I sometimes wonder if my Welcoming committee efforts overdo it. Most of the time I do believe that I am truly greeting new editors, but occasionally I think that I may be adding a talk page for an experienced user who either does not choose to have one, or who does not bother to create one. Hi Peace, thank you for your efforts. We were editing this article at the same time, so my apologies for the override on your edits. When I saw it, I went back and tried to add what you contributed. Apparently I've already offended someone because they tried to delete (not modify or shorten, but just plain delete) the section I created to described the inaugural issue. I've added a section on the Talk page as well. Hawaii edit-a-thon!

Hello. I'm interested in attempting to put together an edit-a-thon for Hawaiian cultural topics something during the Makahiki festival perhaps around the month of November. The hope is that our lackluster coverage of Hawaiian mythology could be improved with help from the Bishop Museum, Hawaii Pacific University, and the Honolulu public library. I am in the process of making initial contacts with these organizations as well as Wikimedia DC's GLAM project. William Davison

Hello

I am Dudley, the (volunteer) webmaster of Bailiffgate Museum in Alnwick. I am concerned to update and make more accurate the section on William Davison of Alnwick on Wikipedia as he is a star of our town. You may know of us as the Castle next door is also a major attraction, as well as being a location of the Harry Potter films. I am not familiar with the Wikipedia process yet but to highlight some of the issues:

1.0 William Davison very definitely DID finish his Bible. We have one on display in Bailiffgate Museum ( see our website About Us Collections). It was recently rated one of the 100 most significant objects of the whole NE. I want to put in text about that obviously.

2.0 I also want to add a picture of the Bible, which seems a really tricky process to do compared to our website, which is easy, so all help gratefully received.

3.0 Add a link to Bailiffgate Museum which is a growing focus of national -and international- interest in him which we clearly want to foster.

4.0 Add more references eg to "William Davison of Alnwick" by Peter Isaac, which is a leading work, and some of his references.

5.0 Add some more of Davison's amazing repertoire of activities mentioned by Isaac.

6.0 Maybe later add a link to the "Davison Cam" that we aim to set up, looking 24 by 7 at the mannequin of Davison in his replica printshop in the museum. The idea is that visitors, and especially overseas ones can then be seen in there in real time by their relatives in Shanghai, New York or whatever. Do you know are there any special restrictions on a link like that on Wikipedia or is it just a normal one? (NB We have privacy policies in place like any such public body and ONLY those who wish to be seen on camera and walk into the special area will be visible)

Not worried who helps me ( used to work for Nabisco at one time as manager of Shredded Wheat in UK, so very positive views of US). What mystified me was how someone had written an otherwise detailed article on William Davison but did not know about his Bible. For some reason the image has turned through 90 degrees though on upload. Trust that is solveable?

Yes; there is a function right on the page to request a rotation. I requested that it be rotated 270° clockwise (90° counterclockwise). This should be done by Rotatebot, an automated bot.    I recommend using the citation information located at William Davison of Alnwick: pharmacist and printer 1781-1858 (eBook, 1968) [WorldCat.org] to fill out the cite book template.

   For this particular book, I would use the template with these parameters:

   I know of no restrictions in particular. Add it in the External links section.
