Fair use rationale for Image:Brahmi.jpg
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:Brahmi.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read carefully the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content and then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ambuj Saxena (talk) 15:57, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Indian_army_soldier_after_siege_of_Kut_q79446.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Indian_army_soldier_after_siege_of_Kut_q79446.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Konstable 11:29, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello. Concerning your contribution, GMR Group, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.iplblast.com/dddfran.aspx. As a copyright violation, GMR Group appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. GMR Group has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribute Share-Alike then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:GMR Group and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) and CC-BY-SA, under CC-BY-SA, or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:GMR Group with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the CC-BY-SA and GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:GMR Group.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. RobDe68 (talk) 21:55, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
- Hey smarty-pants.before accusing me of copyright violation and threatening me with a block, you need to do your homework. What were my contributions to this article? How many other people contributed to this article and what were there contributions.Did somebody copy from this website? Or Was it the Other Way Around?Preetikapoor0 (talk) 00:58, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- The bottom line is you created the article and it was tagged for copyright infringement and that's all the copyvio message states, it never "accuses" you of anything nor does it "threaten" you with anything, it's a template message that I'm actually requested to add to the article creator's talk page when tagging for speedy delete. Whoever wrote the text in the article first (you or the website) is irrelevant because of this: "Copyright © 2008.All rights are reserved by www. IPLBlast.com", that's all that matters. As the article's creator you got the copyvio message as a courtesy so you could contest the speedy delete, which you never did. Nowhere does the copyvio message threaten to ban you and in fact gives you suggestions on how to keep the article from being deleted in the future. RobDe68 (talk) 02:14, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Can you please avoid bringing up sensitive accusations against living people, particularly where it has no relevance. I suggest you read our Biographies of living people policy: WP:BLP, IRWolfie- (talk) 09:11, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- I have reverted this edit. Though it is not a biographical article, BLP is still applicable there. I am unsure where you found they are doing sex trafficking etc. --Tito☸Dutta 06:24, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
I reverted your edit here, not because of the tags themselves but because the added comments mess up the table and are unlikely to gain attention of editors (as opposed to lay readers). Can you voice your thoughts on the article talk page instead? Abecedare (talk) 23:16, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, You've been here long enough to know simply stating "notable enough" [2] [3] [4] isn't a valid reason to keep and so to put it bluntly you're wasting everyones time,
You need to provide a much better reason as to why an article should be kept!.

Rani Amrit Kaur Sahib of Mandi moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Rani Amrit Kaur Sahib of Mandi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 08:35, 19 March 2023 (UTC)
