Hi, this is my talk page. Feel free to discuss any queries, questions or debates to resolve article problems or issues. Please be aware I may feel threatened and shaken by angry conversations (especially ones I've experienced in the past), so please do your best to stay neutral but informative if you have a relatively serious matter. Thanks

Non-free content use[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload files. However, it appears that one or more of the files you have uploaded or added to a page, specifically User:Raphael.concorde, may fail our non-free policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted file of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:20, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 22[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Jessica Meir, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Space Camp (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Replaceable fair use File:Khrunichev Factory Floor.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Khrunichev Factory Floor.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:30, 21 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:WTC Twin Towers NASA picture.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notice

The article Séan Doran (intern) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:ANYBIO with no significant BLP sources and the references used are only passing mentions or attributions to his work.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ww2censor (talk) 11:23, 31 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Beirut explosion condensation cloud.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Beirut explosion condensation cloud.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ytoyoda (talk) 02:51, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:KSC ISS mural.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:KSC ISS mural.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation.

I would like to upload some photos on friction stir welding and found some interesting photos like this and some of these on Flickr. Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:SpaceX inspiration 4 live camera picture.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SpaceX inspiration 4 live camera picture.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:00, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes please upload with lisence Or it will be removed by speedy deletion tag Chinakpradhan (talk) 18:22, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:SpaceX inspiration 4 live camera picture.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

"Minor edits" to MK articles[edit]

Information icon Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of International Space Station expeditions. Request reason:

To explain, here are the following reasons. First of all (Redacted) is a guy who lived in Milton Keynes for 14 years. I often talk to him via email as he is my distance friend who share space related interests. I'm a completely different person though we both have autism. When (Redacted) one time emailed me about Chris Hadfield (he's one of my favorite astronauts) he noted about his rocket factory, and provided me with a link to the Canadian encylopedia. I honestly didn't know that it was a hoax, I really believed it. (Redacted) also said that he knows another flicker user Daniel Molybdenum where he likes some of his images uploaded to wikimedia commons to contribute to articles. I decided to freely volunteer, not knowing some of the images there were altered. I do not have a habit of verifying content via reverse image search, so I normally take it as being authentic first time. As I dont use facebook, I als was unaware of the associated cover page about CAHRF. My collaborations of him were never intended of malicious sockpuppeting, I honesly though I was doing a good job of contributing to wikimedia commons, especially with other people in the flickr community when requested. Hearing these accusaions is very dishertening. I've been on wikipedia for over a decade, I know I am not perfect but I feel my presence here is appreciated by the wider community. For the record as many people do, I use a VPN when I use the computer. This is for privacy reasons, but nothing ill intentioned. Going forward I promise to vet images sourced via flickr before uploading them to this site. I also have a word with Mr. (Redacted) regarding the scandal. Decline reason:

At best, you are claiming you lack sufficient competence to edit here, so WP:CIR. You are also admitting to sockpuppetry (see WP:MEAT). I'm sorry, I agree with the blocking admin. Yamla (talk) 10:20, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Additionally, your user page, if truthful, makes it all but impossible you would fall for a hoax like this. --Yamla (talk) 10:33, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I've seen some pretty smart and savvy people fall for dumb things. But what I haven't seen is two people who are such great friends that they always edit about the same things across diverse topic areas (Milton Keynes; Neutron Star; the International Space Station, skyscrapers, disasters, and other engineering topics; action/adventure films; true crime), often very close together in time. I personally think this user made up their entire backstory. Dronebogus (talk) 23:07, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Update: “Rafael Jean-Luc Alexandre” in quotes returns either no hits or irrelevant garbage from search engines. Highly unlikely for a man who supposedly “Worked at CERN for 13 years between 1995 to 2008” and “had an internship at ESA and later NASA“. Dronebogus (talk) 23:13, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
