Bacon WikiCup 2012 Award
Hey! If you've got a good memory, you'll remember that about a year and a half ago, you participated in the Bacon WikiCup 2012. Unfortunately I became inactive before I could give out the awards, which I apologize for. It's been forever since I disappeared from Wikipedia, but I decided to check back in out of nostalgia. I know I'm really pushing it with "better late than never", but here it is: your very-long-overdue medal. Cheers, ~SuperHamster Talk Contribs 23:29, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

Australian Highway 1 maps
Thank you for making Highway 1 maps for each state. I have, however, noticed some problems with them:
- File:Australian national highway 1.svg is only PD in the US (or countries with similar copyright laws), and not necessarily Australia – a whole bunch of Australian route markers, including that one, were taken off commons and uploaded locally here under the precautionary principle. Therefore, maps using them should also be uploaded locally, and not on Commons, and note that the route markers are {{PD-ineligible-USonly}} (for example, see File:Great Northern Highway route map.png)
- Highway 1 doesn't have a single route marker along its entire length. The National Highway 1 marker you've used for all of them is actually only used for the portions of the route that part of the National Highway (Australia), and then only in the states that don't use alphanumeric route markers for it. That is why there are seven route markers in the Highway 1 (Australia) infobox (and in fact the M1 and A1 route markers in New South Wales are a slightly different style). Therefor, all the maps (apart from Tasmania, actually) are inaccurate. It's probably better to just leave the route markers off, especially for New South Wales where it changes between M1 and A1 about 8 times.
Anyway, once again, thanks for taking the time to make the maps, and hopefully we can sort these problems out - Evad37 [talk] 04:32, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for contacting me with your concerns. I will correct the route markers soon. Rcsprinter (message) @ 17:15, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
Your KML maps
... aren't very precise. I mean, if you zoom in at all on them, you start see a whole lot of line segments approximating the route. Compare this to the KML for Great Eastern Highway, for example, and you'll see a clear difference. Does this have anything to do with the "Automatically updated from ShareMap.org"? Plus you should really be using {{Attached KML|display=inline, title}} in articles, unless the KML doesn't apply to the whole article. - Evad37 [talk] 18:12, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
- OK, I'll make them accurate, and do all new ones accurate. What difference does
inline,title
make? Rcsprinter (gossip) @ 20:00, 16 December 2013 (UTC)- Per the template documentation: Simply placing the template in an article generates a box. In addition, the links can be placed near the top right of an article title, similar to coordinates by using one of the
