  • Sidwell Friends School (C/High) - upgraded from Start/?. Needs significant improvements in referencing. Organization and a small number of reliable sources merits C rating.   • John S. Burke Catholic High School (C/Low) upgraded from (Stub/Low). intro- strong. could nitpick on the "accomplishments" as this is somewhat subjective. More history should be included as a school open since 1899. Student life- added citation request for "many students" (how many). Many change section heading to "Independent Operations" - seems long. Definitely no longer a stub. Prioritize added an infobox. I could be persuaded on bumping from Low to Mid on the importance scale, was not really sure how impactful the teacher strikes were so I measured in conservatively. -- Lucas20 (talk) 17:47, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Bridgnorth Endowed School (C/High) This article has gone from being up for deletion to being a pretty good piece of work, and this article has clear potential to be a good article (GA) or even featured (FA). Under WP:ASSESS I am granting this article C-class for its present state. For B-class or higher the article will need to be meet the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria, of which this article does not yet fully meet. The first issue is that this article lacks references, it has some but not enough for the length of the article, and more should be added. In particular there are no references at all for the alumni section, there should be at least one per claim, and {{cite web}} and other similar templates should be used if possible. The article is also rather short on coverage, which would need to be resolved fully for GA or FA class, and improved a bit for B class. The article contains a lot on history on alumni, but not much else. Much more content can be added on issues such as notable staff, curriculum, Ofsted inspections, extra curricular activities, and the uniform if there is one and it is worthy of note. The pictures are good but the infobox should contain the school logo if possible. The importance of this school could be debated, it certainly beyond low importance and is above the average mid importance school, while it is probably not nationally well known enough for top importance, hence I am giving the article high importance.   • Marin Academy (B/Mid) This is following a review of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria: 1) The article is quite well referenced, with lots of in-line citations. Some gaps but this is acceptable for B-class. 2) Covers the just enough topics for B-class, key stuff is there, but more on history might be good. 3) Article is reasonably well structured, but the pictures might need to be moved around a bit so text is not squashed between them and the infobox. 4) Article is reasonably well written, strict WP:MOS compliance will be required for higher article ratings however. 5) Article has an infobox, pictures, and a logo as required. 6) No obviously inappropriate content.   • Desegregation busing in the United States (C/High) A critical topic for the schools project. However, relies heavily on too few sources and needs some organizing/cleanup.   • Limavady Grammar School (B/Mid) - Much improved, I have reviewed this article against Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. The article is generally well referenced, with most references using citation templates which is a plus, a few gaps still evident and marked but these are not worthy of note for B-class. The article covers the topic reasonably well, some sections such as history might be expandable (though it should only be expanded if references can be found); most sections needed are included. The article has an infobox and the logo, some pictures would be great but this is not required for B-class. Article content is not too technical generally.   • Bridgnorth Endowed School (B) - See above for the other assessment of February 2009. I am generally now satisfied it meets Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. The article is generally well referenced, a few gaps perhaps and use of {{cite web}} is encouraged though is not required for B-class. The article is full of lots of material, and contains most of the stuff needed for a good article. The structure is okay, though the history section is very long and might need to be split into multiple sub-sections. Some things should probably have their own sections, see WP:WPSCH/AG for suggested layouts. Overall, I am giving this article B-class and I will list it under GA potential candidates at WP:WPSCH. The article does suffer from significant material that is non encyclopedic. The arts section in particular. You will need to cite your entire alumni section for both a) notability (if no wp page) and b) alumni status (if no wp page or wp page does not have cited reference).   • Oswego High School (New York) (Start/Low) Good start for a school article. Most of the information, however, is in list format. The article narrative should be expanded next. You may want to consider adding two important categories: history and notable alumni. Also, your intro should summarize what is in the article, not give general information.   • Dharmaraja College (C/High) A long and detailed article, which I am assessing as C / High after a request. Good to see an infobox and lots of appropriate pictures, as well as many in-line citations. To improve the article it needs better referencing, citation templates should be used as much as possible, see Wikipedia:Citation templates for a guide. The history section dominates the article and contains many paragraphs without section breaks, this section should be broken up into different eras and some content perhaps moved elsewhere. The section also needs to be checked for neutrality, some peacock terms seem evident such as Dharmaraja College, Kandy is one of the premier Buddhist Schools in the country boasting a prolific history of more than 120 years since 30th of June 1887. Some sections could do with expanding, try to give prose with context rather than lists where possible. More information on curriculum would be good, the article seems to focus on sports and common extra-curricular activities. A separate list for alumni for the amount this article has is a good idea and should be kept, but keep an appropriate summary. The trivia section should be removed if possible, by integrating its contents into the rest of the article. Finally, the external links are excessive, only key ones should be present, per WP:EL.   • Groton-Dunstable Regional High School (B) This article has come a long way since its previous assessment, and I must congratulate Casualskeptic (talk · contribs) for his/her work on it. I have reviewed the article against the B-Class criteria and I am satisfied that it passes. Could become a Wikipedia:Good article with work, the article contains most sections needed but does still have some weaknesses. First the article is generally well referenced, though citation templates should be used as much as possible, see Wikipedia:Citation templates. The campus and history section are a little short, a bit more detail would be great. The alumni section is short and unreferenced, and a notable former teachers section could be added if there are any.   • Lamar High School (Houston, Texas) promoted to (B/Mid) Article a lot of useful information and useful pictures; certainly exceeds start quality. Despite the template asking for additional citations, there are 122 citations under the references section. In my opinion, this article is comparable to several of the GA school articles, and as an editor who went through the GA process with a school article myself, I believe this article could easily pass GA with just some minor tweaking.   • Highland Park High School (Highland Park, Illinois) (C/High) This is well established article, with plenty of content and references, and could be B or even GA class with some work. The article structure is okay but sections such as history could do with expansion. The lead (introuduction) could do with expanding, it should introduce the topic and summarise each section of the article. References could also be improved with some sections having only one reference, use of {{cite web}} and other such templates would also be a good idea. Importance is more difficult to gauge here, it is at least Mid importance but probably not well known enough for Top importance. The school has a long history, dating back to the 1850s which is a long time for a U.S. school, the alumni list is also very extensive.   • Davidson High School (New South Wales) (B/Mid) This is an impressive article, and credit must be given to its authors, and this can certainly be GA or even FA with some further work. The article is well referenced with one or two gaps e.g. principles, but it is good to see use of templates in refs. The history section is a little long - I would consider splitting this into sub-sections. The lead should also probably be a bit longer, it should summarise the entire article. Some parts of the article are a little bit promotional, for example Davidson High School has a long and colourful history in the performing arts, dating back to the school's establishment sounds a bit peacock like to me, I would re-phrase this. Also, more pictures, as requested would be great. The article's importance rating also needs to be reviewed, the well sourced alumni section certainly shows Mid-importance, though more would be needed for High-importance.   • Amador Valley High School (B/Mid) This is an impressive article, and hence I am granting it B-class, there are areas that could be improved but it still passes Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment/B-Class criteria. The illustration of the article is very good, there are a few suggestions I can give though. First, the image in the infobox should generally be the logo, rather than it being in bedded deep into the article. Second, the images (except the logo, as it is non-free) should probably be moved to Wikimedia Commons, there they can be used on any Wikimedia project and you can create a dedicated gallery page and link to it from this article. If you need any help, ask me. Third, having the text squashed between the image and the info box looks a bit awkward, I would move stuff around a bit to avoid this if possible. The standard of referencing is pretty good, though not all refs use templates such as {{cite web}}, which I recommend they do so so to help all needed information be given for each ref and to improve the look of the article. The lead should possibly be expanded a bit more to fully summarise the entire article. There is also one reference missing with the alumni. For importance I am upping this article to mid importance given the schools history, awards, and alumni. Following this assessment I am listing it at WP:WPSCH as a potential good article candidate.   • Whitney High School (Rocklin, California) (B/Mid) It has been requested that the C-class rating on this article be reviewed. This article is well referenced and contains most content needed, so I am immediately raising it to B-class, where GA candidates should be. My main suggestions for further improvement are to add more pictures - and put the school logo in the infobox. Some mention of notable alumni would be good also if any can be found. I am also giving the article Mid importance, its California Distinguished School status and history are enough for this. Note that this article is currently a GA candidate.   • Wheaton Warrenville South High School (B/High) It has been requested that I assess this article, it has so far only been bot assessed as Start class. Given the amount of content this at least deserves C-class. Reviewing it against the B-Class criteria I would say it is generally suitably referenced (criteria 1), some gaps apparent in architecture and academics but still good enough for B-class, it covers the topic well, nothing major seems to be missing (criteria 2), well structured (criteria 3), article seems to follow the WP:MOS okay (criteria 4), has enough images (criteria 5), and is understandable to users who had not previously heard of the school (criteria 6). So overall, seems to be a B-class pass and a potential GA candidate. This article history and alumni certainly merit giving it High importance, though this is not overwhelming enough, nor does the school have enough international recognition for Top importance at this time. The schools eventful history and alumni certainly give this article High importance, perhaps Top, though more discussion would be needed for the latter. The main gaps are in some refs for alumni, a few more pictures of the school within the middle sections of the article would be good also.   • Direct grant grammar school (B/Mid) The article is well written, contains plenty of well cited references, and seems to have most content needed so hence I am giving it B-class. The importance of school type articles is more ambiguous than for individual school article, as this article contains important history and is linked to many important schools, I am giving it Mid importance.   • Montrose Academy (C/High) While not all claims are referenced there is enough here of importance including history and extra-curricular activities to justify high-importance. This article is certainly now beyond a Stub, and close to B-class. First, the lead could do with more work. It seems to have a lot of focus on the dome, it should only introduce the article and summarise all the other sections in the article. There also seem to be a lack of sources for dome related info in this article, who says it is the most famous aspect? The history section is pretty good though refs should be after full stops. I am not sure what the point of the organization section is, it is written in a promotional tone, the content here should probably be merged into the rest of the article in a more neutral fashion. The Departments section needs at least some text and sources to explain it. The Sports section is well sourced but again rather promotional in tone and sports do fall under extra-circular activities. The extra-curricular activities section is okay, though it currently focuses on one issue, it should probably be expanded including having sports merged into it. The alumni section desperately needs references, particularity with WP:BLP, and usually everybody listed there should meet WP:N for their own article per WP:NNC, so either there should be a blue or red link for each person per WP:REDLINK. While not required for B-class, the sources should probably be cleaned up to use templates such as {{cite web}} with as much of the source info e.g. date, publisher filled in for each source as possible.   • Bishop McGuinness High School (Oklahoma) (B/Mid) First, the athletic history of the school is probably enough for mid-importance, so I will give it that. I have marked the logo as having some problems which need resolving, as it is copyrighted the resolution needs to be drastically reduce, a source (i.e. a link) for where the image came from needs to be given, and a fair use rationale needs to be provided. The other images I have tagged as candidates to be moved to Wikimedia Commons as it would allow them to be used by other projects. For B-class the article must meet the B-class criteria at WP:BCLASS. I will review the article against them now:
  • Criterion 1: The article is generally well referenced with plenty of inline citations. Use of citation templates is not required for B-class but are used here, however some of the parameters seem to be missing, see Template:Cite web and fill in as many as possible per source.
  • Criterion 2: The article could still do with some expansion, though enough of the important sections are covered for B-class. WP:WPSCH/AG covers most possible sections in school articles, obvious ones missing here include notable alumni and extra-circular activities beyond athletics (which can be split off from Academics). Existing sections could do with expansion as well, for example the history section has little beyond 1962.
  • Criterion 3: Article has a clear layout, and a lead section is included. The lead could do with expansion, it should summarise the article as well as introduce it per WP:LEAD.
  • Criterion 4: Is well written enough for B-class, no serious issues with the writing style.
  • Criterion 5: An infobox and illustrations included.
  • Criterion 6: No issues with technical terms.

  • Criterion 1: The article is reasonably well referenced. It is good that citation templates are used but try and fill in as many as the parameters as possible fore each reference, see {{cite web}} for an example for all those available. Again, more of the alumni needs sourcing, but the sourcing is good enough overall for B-class.
  • Criterion 2: Most sections needed are covered, though some are tagged for expansion, this is good enough for B-class.
  • Criterion 3: The article structure is okay but not brilliant. File:Jamaica location map.svg should be in a thumbnail, and some of the section headings are done incorrectly, see WP:MOSHEAD. The lead could do with some more work; it should summarise the article more, currently it seems to focus on alumni and school objectives. Things from other section such as history should be briefly mentioned here too, see WP:LEAD. Overall however, the structure is still good enough for B-class.
  • Criterion 4: Some parts of the article could do with being wikified, and bold is used excessively, see WP:MOSBOLD, however the article does not need to follow the WP:MOS rigorously for B-class.
  • Criterion 5: I notice there are a lot of fair use images appearing in the article, such images must meet WP:NFCC. File:JC 2007 Manning Cup Victory.jpg is not replaceable so may be okay, but does it really improve the article enough to justify use of copyrighted material? File:JC NUMBER 1.jpg is a replaceable image, and further images of the logo in addition to the one at the top of the article are not needed. Some non-copyrighted images, perhaps photographs by editors, would be great, but the infobox and logo are enough for B-class.
  • Criterion 6: No issues with accessibility.

  • Dhaka Residential Model College (B/Mid) A nice article, seems to pass the B-class criteria fine. Getting articles to good article/featured article status is not my speciality though there are few suggestions I can give. Some of the article's punctuation needs to be checked, references should be after full stops and commas. Capital letters should normally only be used for proper nouns, and the first letter of section headings and sentences, see WP:MOSCAPS; capital letters seem to be used excessively in some areas e.g. most subject names should not be captialised. Bold is also sometimes overused, see WP:MOSBOLD. The image in the infobox should usually be the school logo, which can be uploaded under a claim of fair use. I have trouble following part of the lead, what a "shift" is needs to be made clearer. Avoid too much detail on one aspect in the lead it should only introduce and summarise the article per WP:LEAD. Some sections such as education are rather list like, per WP:WPSCH/AG#WNTI prose with context to the school is better. The referencing seems okay, though there are a few gaps such as not all alumni having a reference. Also I get the impression that more parameters could be filled in for some refs.   • Top-importance: All articles checked and seemed fine, mistakes and missing entries at Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools now corrected. All "spin-off" articles of top importance school articles, such alumni lists and history, are now marked as top importance article per general logical practice to give such articles the same importance as the main articles as they are part of one "product". The Doon School was listed as top importance on the project page but never actually given it (was high importance). I have now given it top importance due to its alumni containing some very important people in Indian history, including a prime minister and many cabinet members. It also seems appropriate given that there is currently only one other Top-importance Indian school, despite India been one of the most populated countries in the world.

  • Mount Carmel High School (Chicago) (B/High) Firstly, the combination of history, athletics supreme court incident, notable alumni, and notable teachers are enough to give the article High-importance. The article is developing well and is of good enough quality for B-class, the alumni sections are particularly good. The academics section needs more referencing and perhaps should be altered to look less like a list; the campus and history sections are also missing references. The history does not seem complete, as it goes little further than the 1970s. Finally, the lead section could do with expansion to summarise the article a bit better.   • Benet Academy (B/Mid) This is a well written article that is coming on nicely, and is good enough for B-class. There are some interesting alumni and history here, though probably not quite enough for more than Mid-importance at this time. For WP:GA the lead needs expansion, it should summarise the article per WP:LEAD, it is currently too short. The history section is good length, is there more material from beyond the 1960s that can be added? The article is generally well referenced, though there are a few gaps that need filling in alumni and athletics. The article as a whole feels it could be a bit longer, there may be some less important missing sections that could be added, see the section list at WP:WPSCH/AG#S for ideas.   • St. Ignatius College Preparatory School (High) I confirm the existing C-class rating, there are too many gaps in references alone to justify B-class at this time. The history, landmark status, and alumni push the article close to High-importance. Overall, I think the alumnus of an important politician are enough to push it over enough to give High-importance.   • School for Creative and Performing Arts (C/High) Now that copyright issues have been resolved this is actually a pretty impressive article, and it certainly deserves C-class. Further improvements are needed for B-class though, and this could be a Good article with plenty of effort. For importance, I would give this Mid-importance for the history and alumni as it stands. However, Taking the Stage which appears to have had national coverage can justify High-importance.

File:SCPA Historical Marker.PNG either needs an OTRS permission tag or the licence needs to be clarified. The website linked appears to allow commercial use of their work, as needed for Wikipedia, however they do not specifically licence their work under Creative Commons, hence the generic {{Attribution}} may be the correct tag for this image. I would avoid squashing text between images and infoboxes, try to follow the guidance at MOS:IMAGE.

The lead is a little long, it should only introduce and summarise the article, see WP:LEAD; only the longest articles usually have four paragraph leads. The lead is a little promotional, which is not a good tone to start an article in. I would advise against mission statement sections per WP:MISSION; they don't add much to the article. Elements of promotion also come out in other places in the article, avoid vague statements like "SCPA is known for its professional quality productions, and performance is an integral part of each student's education." and "SCPA has a strong record of academic achievement." Who is saying this? Do all sources agree? The history section is generally well written, though as it is primarily about the past it should probably come earlier in the article. The alumni section is impressive though it should be better sourced. Really every single individial needs a reliable source confirming their attendance. Entries also need to be notable per WP:NNC, so most of those listed should have blue links to their own article.

Finally, the article could do with some stylistic improvements. Most of the current section headings are appropriate; WP:WPSCH/AG#S will give a full listing for ideas on possible expansion. External links should be avoided within the text per WP:ELPOINTS, for sourcing please only use <ref></ref>. The current heading hierarchy is inappropriate in places. Level 2 headings should be used for every major section (except the lead), with level 3 and higher used for sub-sections within major sections only.   • Scotch College, Melbourne (B) I am maintaining the existing Top-importance rating; the alumni and national attention the school has had is enough to justify this. As a whole this is a well written article, and is of good enough quality to justify B-class. The main weakness, taking into account the importance of the school, is article length. Many sections seem short and incomplete. For example the history section needs to cover over 150 years, but is currently only a paragraph long. Some schools with this level of importance and age have enough material on history to justify a separate article, for example History of Baltimore City College. The campuses and extra-curricular activities should also be expanded, I would also suggest converting them to prose to flow better. Other possible missing sections can be found at WP:WPSCH/AG#S. The media descriptions section does not necessary, and may create neutrality concerns. It should probably be merged with the rest of the article or removed. Galleries with "random" images are discouraged per WP:IG; I would suggest creating one on Wikimedia Commons and then link it from the article using {{Commons}}.   • School for Creative and Performing Arts (B) This article is coming on nicely. Now that most of the issues of the previous assessment have been addressed I am giving this article B-class and adding it to potential good article candidates list at WP:WPSCH. I see this article is having a peer review, I think it would be good to get some feedback from some other editors there to help get this article to GA. I will give a few further tips however including: (1) Some more references are needed for the alumni section, and I don't think each person's name should be in bold per MOS:BOLD. (2) Some images in the article are hosted on Wikipedia when they could be on Wikimedia Commons. I would consider moving images there, creating a gallery for this school there, and linking it from the article using {{Commons}}. See WP:COMMONS for help. (3) The reference list is quite short for the length of the article, try adding a greater variety of references when you can.   • Academy Charter School (Castle Rock, Colorado) (Start/Low) The "start" rating is based on the referencing and citing that has begun, but the lack of key information regarding academic performance, and the academic offerings of the school. Continued expansion is needed in history and academics. There is also information regarding safety and the listing of the staff that reads too much like it is self promotional, or unencyclopedic. The inclusion of "rumors" is strictly forbidden per WP:CRYSTAL. The "low" rating is given because there is no assertion of the school having had an impact nationally.   • Barrington High School (Lake County, Illinois) (Start/Mid) The "start" rating is based on the need for a vast improvement in referencing and citing material, a process which was started, but is still in need of work. There is still a need for a great deal of expansion in the history section, and at least a brief discussion of non-athletic activities. There needs to be a discussion of the course offerings, tracking etc. in the academics section. The "mid" rating is given based on the assertion of media coverage and awards, in addition to the high academic performance on national tests (though, failure to reference this could bring this rating down to "Low").   • Rochester High School (Illinois) (Start/Low) The article has nearly all of the parts of a good article, but contains a great deal of unencyclopedic information that really should be trimmed out of the article. None of the alumni listed meet the notability threshold to be included in this article. The academic data is now a year out of date, and needs to be updated. As a plus, the editor(s) working on this article have been careful to begin a tradition of referencing. The history section should be rewritten in a more prosaic style, and should hopefully be referenced by a third party source vs. what appears to be a school newspaper.   • Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences (Start/Mid) The article is slightly better referenced now, and has an infobox, but still has a long way to go in terms of discussing history and the school's relatively unique curriculum. I am giving the school a "mid" importance ranking because of the assertion that it is unique (Chicago's last farm) and being one of only a few secondary schools in the United States centered around an agricultural curriculum (vs. offering some classes as a supplement to the curriculum.   • Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy (Start/Low) While the article has quite a bit of information, it is largely unreferenced and uncited (though there is a good start to this).
