Skånevik is a former municipality in Hordaland county, Norway.
The parish of Skonevik was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt).
On 1 January 1965 the districts situated south of the Skånevik-/Åkrafjord and east of Åkra became a part of Etne municipality. This area had 1.493 inhabitants, and the village Skånevik is located in western Etne. The area lying north of the fjord and west of Åkra, with a population of 1.189, became a part of Kvinnherad.
