The Star Wars Corporation, Inc. (SWC) was a corporation founded by George Lucas in 1973 in order to control sequel rights and licensing of products for the movie Star Wars. By 1980, the corporation was closed and licensing has since been controlled by Lucasfilm Ltd. The corporation's name may still be seen in reprints of Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker and Splinter of the Mind's Eye as the copyrights has not expired or been renewed.
