License tagging for Image:569010.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:569010.jpeg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:04, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Notability of The Big Beeve[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Big Beeve, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Metropolitan90 21:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dead & Bloated, by Tarc (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dead & Bloated fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

This is not a notable song. It was not a single, nor is there any independent mention of the song outside of guitar tab, lyric, and discography pages.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dead & Bloated, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:09, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

August 2007[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. An article you recently created, Rise Today, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new articles, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do and please read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. Freedomeagle 05:54, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jampilot, I've merged your Rise Today stub into Blackbird (album). The song itself doesn't yet warrant it's own article; see WP:MUSIC#Songs. Marasmusine 08:33, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have deleted this article, as the person is just not notable. Please read our notability guidelines for people. J Milburn 05:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mighty Joe Young Demo[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Mighty Joe Young Demo, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. iridescent (talk to me!) 19:00, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries[edit]

Please make sure that you include a descriptive edit summary with any edit, even one that you deem to be minor, to assist other editors and admins in checking diffs. It is particularly helpful when pages are still in development by their primary contributor. [1] Cheers --Esradekan 03:44, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Kings of Leon discography, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I noticed that you reverted against policy again. Could you tell me why? Thank you. Radiopathy •talk• 18:01, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry I ignored "policy", but every other rock band has "year"-present as opposed to "since 'year'", which I find to be less attractive. "2003-present" looks more professional

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Jampilot! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Scott Weiland[edit]

Hello again, I reverted your edits on the Scott Weiland page. The Magnificent Bastards section was a result of a selective merge that was discussed on its original article page. Please do not remove this section. You may edit it, move it, or incorporate it into another section, but the information must remain, as it is both notable and encyclopedic. Thanks! – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 02:08, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jampilot. I noticed with this edit that you changed the section header from "onwards" to "–present". The latter is actually not accepted by Wikipedia policy; see WP:OTHERDATE for clarification. Hi Jampilot. Can you add the reference to the runtime for the song? Normally I would just remove it but I know you're a regular. But until the song is (at least legally) released tomorrow, the run time is pretty crystal. –Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 23:53, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and removed the run time info, wasn't sure when you'd be back on. I've found only one review of the new song, but no run time anywhere. I tried! – Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 01:19, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I don't have a reference for it, I just downloaded a high quality version of the song and actually know how long it is —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jampilot (talkcontribs)

Oh ok. That obviously wouldn't count as verifiable. Do you like the song? Well tell you what, just undo my edits tomorrow morning when the website has posted the track. A primary source won't matter in this case, but just throw in a reference to their website and we'll call it good. –Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 06:36, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as on Stone Temple Pilots, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Kerαunoςcopiagalaxies 03:49, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ravens and Orioles[edit]

I don't know why you deleted from the Baltimore Ravens article the connection between their name and that of the Orioles, but I've restored it. I don't have at hand a reference to prove the logical link but, hey, I was in town throughout the period when the Browns came here, and I recall clearly that there was much discussion among fans that went like this, "We ought to have the Colts' colors and name, but failing that, the links to Poe and to the Orioles make Ravens a great name."—PaulTanenbaum (talk) 19:16, 2 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Baltimore Orioles, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Brian Roberts (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
