December 2014[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Fyddlestix. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Kosovo without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Fyddlestix (talk) 02:30, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kosovo. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. Thank you. Your contributed article, Albanians in Canada[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Albanians in Canada. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Albanian Canadian. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Albanian Canadian – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Vanjagenije (talk) 02:20, 30 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Bloody Alboz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. • I'm willing to unblock you but you would need to do two things: first is that you would have to change your username to reflect more on yourself as a person as opposed to being named after a band, as this gives off the impression that you are editing on behalf of the band when it comes to the recent attempts to create an article for The Bloody Alboz. Even if you're just a fan, it's usually better if you choose a username that isn't named directly after the band, especially if the band isn't particularly well known in the States or UK. You'd likely always have someone asking if you are the band in question, so it's just sort of easier that way. The second thing is that if you are a member of the band, their publicity group, or someone that is in contact with them, you will need to look over the conflict of interest guidelines (WP:COI). Looking over the notability guidelines for bands (WP:BAND) woudl also be a good idea since it may be that the group just doesn't pass notability guidelines for the English language Wikipedia. The band must be the focus of independent and reliable sources (WP:RS), although I will note that these sources do not have to be in English, just in places that would be considered reliable. Tokyogirl79 ask you to leave as soon as blocking because I've done nothing wrong contrary, I added information in Wikipedia english for my country and for many other things "UNBLOCK" ;) -

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have not done anything wrong,I write every thing for my country ,but you have taken some things wrong

Decline reason:

As Tokyogirl79 said above, your username is a violation of Wikipedia's username policy because it's the name of a group and could be seen to imply shared use by multiple members of the band, which isn't permitted. You should follow the instructions in the block template above and request a new username, and you should also address Tokyogirl79's concerns about a conflict of interest and the notability of the band you have repeatedly tried to write about. Huon (talk) 00:07, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

I used the name of a hiphop group ,This is why I blocked , the requested change username

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. PhilKnight (talk) 11:08, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning[edit]

You moved article "Lipljan" to new title, "Lipjan" [1]. You did so without any discussion and without explaining your move in the edit summary. This behavior is very disruptive. You may never make controversial edits or page moves without discussing it first with other editors at the talk page and reaching consensus. Kosovo town names is highly controversial topic. There is a consensus at Talk:Lipljan that the title should be "Lipljan". If you believe that this should be changed, and you have some evidence to prove that the title should be different, you are free to make a wp:move request. Thanks! Vanjagenije (talk) 11:35, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Dardani (village) for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dardani (village) is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dardani (village) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Vanjagenije (talk) 12:07, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

disruptive editing[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, you may be blocked from editing. DOCUMENTERROR 12:30, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi[edit]

I see you are trying to help your country be properly represented and described on Wikipedia. Feel free to ask me any questions - we can do this without getting into trouble. You can safely ignore the editor's threat above, just work carefully. Legacypac (talk) 21:57, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Since you did not request a change of username, as you had promised to do[edit]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
