Given the success of our presentations at Wikimedia and the need to attract more contributors to write about women and their works, on 12 October on Ada Lovelace Day we are organizing a round-the-clock online recruitment drive, including inspiring presentations and extensive support around the globe. We are planning three or more two-hour on-line events in Australia/New Zealand, Europe and the United States, which will be focused on encouraging new contributors and inexperienced editors to create their first article about women.

By means of simply presented exercises in the basic features of Wikipedia editing, we hope to see newcomers embark on their first creative assignments. A week later, on 19th? October, we will review results to date and offer advice for the future. Those of you who have not yet dared to create new articles will finally be guided on the road to success, both through these events and by personal mentoring.

More precise details of the on-line presentations will be included as they evolve.
