Ko Chang National Park islands are far from the river streams of the mainland, and so the waters around the islands, especially further south, near [[Ko Mak]] island, are very clear.

Mu Ko Chang National Park (Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติหมู่เกาะช้าง) is in Trat Province, eastern Thailand. It spans several provincial districts.[2] It is a marine national park[3] with an area of 650 square kilometres (250 sq mi), including more than 52 islands.[2] The most notable island within the archipelago is Ko Chang. Ko Chang covers an area of 212.947 km2 and is the major island in the Mu Ko Chang National Park, which became Thailand's 45th National Park in 1982.[4] The park is an IUCN Category II protected area with coral reefs.[5]
