Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Curt Schilling. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Do not add speculation about future elections.C.Fred (talk) 01:05, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JG4236, I have unfortunately had to suppress some of your edits because they reveal too much personally identifiable information. We have a policy of protecting editors' safety by hiding such information if they share it. I'm really sorry about having to suppress your edits, and I know it's annoying, but it's for the best. Please don't re-add the information. For some useful information on privacy and safety, you can take a look at Wikipedia:On privacy, confidentiality and discretion. Thanks, and sorry for messing about with your pages! -- Amanda (aka DQ) 13:14, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to add that, looking at the subpages you've created, you would be better off at a website like Ancestry.com. Wikipedia is not a web hosting service, and the majority of the pages you created are clearly not intended to improve the encyclopedia, and they also expose personal information that the subjects may not want on a public website. Please save the information you need then add the code {{db-u1}} to the pages so that they will be removed. You may also reply here and I will delete them. —DoRD (talk) 13:29, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, yes please, delete them! I've been trying to do this for so long and can't figure out how to do it, thank you!--JG4236 (talk) 04:57, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

December 2016

Hello, I'm A guy saved by Jesus. Your recent edit to the page Aroldis Chapman appears to have added premature information about a reported sports transaction, so it has been removed for now. The transaction is based on anonymous sources and/or awaiting an official announcement. If you believe the transaction has been completed, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 17:32, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Ian Desmond. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. A guy saved by Jesus (talk) 21:01, 10 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It would be nice if you're going to bury someone to at least cite sources. Please see the talk page where I can find 'mentions' of his death, but nobody points to anything citeable! Shenme (talk) 02:04, 2 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Chris Ballinger

Hello, JG4236. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Chris Ballinger".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 23:26, 16 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sources needed for Days of the Year pages

You're probably not aware but Days of the Year pages are no longer exempt from WP:V and direct sources are required for additions. For details see the WikiProject Days of the Year style guide. The article about the person you added to December 30 did not have any source that I could add to this page to back up your addition so this change has been reverted. Please do not restore it without providing a direct reliable source. Thank you. Toddst1 (talk) 03:25, 8 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:20, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Presidential campaign announcements in the United States, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from List of The Office (American TV series) characters into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. Devon Abner moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Devon Abner, has no sources or citations and cannot remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved it to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page. Request reason:

This is absolutely outrageous! The reason I removed information on Joint Statistical Meeting was because the event was cancelled due to COVID-19 and nobody removed it. While I do apologize for inserting SOME unsourced content (and I promise to not do that) but I feel that the information I inserted was useful information like when I added that Bianca Andreescu was back from injury hiatus on 2021 Australian Open - Women's Singles and I think that I should not be blocked for that. Finally, I am very frustrated that we are being penalized for being creative on our own subpages that people won't find because they are under our own username. I thought those subpages and our Sandbox are for us to be creative by playing around with Wikipedia features that I find fun to use. Of course, it would be ridiculous for me to be creative on real pages but I would never and have never done that. Thank you. JG4236 (talk) 17:43, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

I will agree with you that the first edit you mention was probably good, although the place to bring up your reason for removing it was in the edit summary. But as for a lot of your other edits ... all this information can very easily be sourced, and most editors would have done so, but you never showed any interest. (This edit also shows that you aren't familiar with MOS:N'T, but unfamiliarity with the MOS is not by itself a blockable offense).

However ... I am very troubled by a serious contradiction between what you assert in your request and what your record reveals. You say, regarding your humorous subpages (themselves sort of troubling, as anyone willing to put in that level of work should really be putting it towards actual content, and is additionally clearly demonstrating the ability, if not perhaps the inclination, to put sources in articles supporting the facts they add) that "it would be ridiculous for me to be creative on real pages but I would never and have never done that."

Then what, exactly, were you doing here? It sure looks to me like you linked one of your play pages from a real article.

The general immaturity level of your request, as well as the many final warnings you have received over the past year that have not been followed through with blocks (commented on at the AN/I), suggest to me that if you do serve out this block and return to editing as you have been, the next block should be an indef NOTHERE block because you will have demonstrated better than anyone else what behavior that category of blocks exists for.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I have admitted that I should have sourced the 2021 Australian Open - Women's Singles edit, and for that I apologize. I also apologize for linking one of my own pages to a real page WHICH WAS AN ACCIDENT! But this block is seriously unnecessary. If you don't feel inclined to completely lift the block, then please consider reducing it to 2-4 days.--JG4236 (talk) 15:10, 12 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
