A Municipality (Albanian: komuna e, Serbian: општина, transliterated [opština] Error: {{Lang}}: text has italic markup (help)) is the basic administrative division of Kosovo.

The municipalities of Albanik / Leposavić, Zubin Potok and Zveçan / Zvečan in the north of Kosovo each have an overwhelmingly Serbian majority constituting more than 90% of the population of that municipality. All other municipalities have a very substantial Albanian majority except for Štrpce in the south, which has a Serbian majority.
