Thanks Aaroncrick. It looked like York Park was doing well but didn't go through! It shouldn't be that far away from an FA so best of luck.Cptnono (talk) 05:11, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't know it worked that way. I thought the FAC person came in and did their thing. The only tyhing I saw was "Northern Stand after fire damage" bleeding into the next seciton when viewing with Opera (I'm going to move it up to the fire section to see if it fits). Besides all of the requested changes were talken care of and I certainly would have supported.Cptnono (talk) 05:28, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Assuming it gets nominated again and stays the same (or is better) I would be happy to go through it and suggest any quick changes. From going through it, I would "support" as is.Cptnono (talk)

Also at York Park I think you need to collapse the attendance table here if you don't want the flow to break. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:08, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lol. Told ya that I can develop a numebr of articles like maniac, if I get into the flow. I need to take up some reviews also, else the GAN will be flooded by my nominations again!! :) --Legolas (talk2me) 10:13, 14 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did I forget to thank you? ..

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed nearly unanimously with 174 in support, 2 in opposition and 1 neutral votes. Special thanks goes to RegentsPark, Samir and John Carter for their kind nomination and support. I am truly honored by the trust and confidence that the community has placed in me. I thank you for your kind inputs and I will be sincerely looking at the reasons that people opposed me so I can improve in those areas ( including my english ;) ). If you ever need anything please feel free to ask me and I would be happy to help you :). Have a great day ! -- Tinu Cherian - 10:00, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought of pinging and asking how have you been. :) --Legolas (talk2me) 11:52, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to hear from you too. Its been pretty boring here with me continuously developing articles on Madonna's tours. Before EOD I hope to nominate Re-Invention World Tour. By the way, would you like to work on Sourav Ganguly to take it to GA? :) --Legolas (talk2me) 10:45, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The cricket part is something that you will know better, Im quite at a loss there. I will be able to contribute on the main structure as a biography and integration of personal life as a part of it. As I can see that article alongwith Ishant Sharma is quite fancrufty. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:54, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yup. I watched both the opening ceremony and the first match at Bangalore. Came home at 2 am. Brrrr. --Legolas (talk2me) 11:42, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gaga GT

He he. Lemme get Madonna's Confessions era to GT, then its off to Ganguly for sure. I hope I can create a new direction for musical tour articles with the Confessions Tour so that future editors can consider it as a perfect muse on how to construct musical tour articles. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:41, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal life in Ganguly? I never support any section called personal life in any bio. I always model any such articles according to articles like Madonna, Janet Jackson etc because I believe that notability of their personal life is a bit WP:UNDUE and sometimes tends to be a target for fancruft and blogging. Hence I prefer making it a part of the main biography. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:49, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Though I know him quite well but if we can't find sources for those stuff were fungati!!! But lemme try and make a draft in my sandbox. Then again, just waiting for the Confessions thing to go to GT. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:56, 2 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

St Kilda templates/infoboxes

I have no issue with nominating most of those templates for deletion, but I'm still hoping Brian will show that he understands and accepts consensus, or at least, is willing to negotiate. Otherwise we're forever going to be trailing around behind him and nominating his St Kilda-related decorations for deletion. That would be a pity, because if he focused on improving the content of the articles instead, he could do for St Kilda what Boomtish (and others) have done for Geelong. DYK Ricky Ponting with the Australian cricket team in India in 2008-09

Thanks for congratulations and a comment on my talk. Regarding this DYK nomination, we'll need your response at the T:TDYK page. Materialscientist (talk) 23:23, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Under every DYK hook we keep a thread of review-reply questions, like a GAR. Most questions should be answered there (otherwise the review stalls). If discussion gets too broad and technical, it can be continued or held in parallel at various talk pages. Cheers. Materialscientist (talk) 23:32, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Ricky Ponting with the Australian cricket team in India in 2008–09

Updated DYK query On November 8, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Ricky Ponting with the Australian cricket team in India in 2008–09, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Please refrain from adding incorrect details????? I could say the same thing about you. I criticized you because you gave me a warning for no reason. Tom Harley played 197 games for Geelong. Do some research and you will find i am correct. And then you can ask your friends where did they get their information from! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Oz Juice24 (talkcontribs) 04:52, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies. Sorry my fault. Aaroncrick (talk) Review me! 05:08, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for the apology. I got a bit hot under the collar because i could not work out why i got the warning. I have been a long time reader of wikipedia, and when i saw that error i thought i would have a try at fixing it. I suppose not having a user name made it look abit like vandalism which i am sure you encounter frequently. Anyway thanks as well for the tips, and GO THE MIGHTY HAWKS. South Park

Nah, it's not correct. For years, editors have been claiming that South Park is a real town, but have not been able to provide any evidence. You would think that the existence of a town would be easy to prove through secondary sources. Thanks for pointing out the edit. While the claim that it's a real town is incorrect, the portion about the town on the show being based on an specific area of Colorado is already mentioned in the main article body, and doesn't really need to be mentioned in the lead. I went ahead and removed it And thanks! :) - SoSaysChappy (talk) 14:51, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar thanks!

Thank you very much for your kind award of a Barnstar! Very appreciated. You do also have a point. As you may have noticed I have a bit of an attention-span problem and get bored/distracted easily... It generally means I flit between writing about cricket, football, Tasmania, military history and Australian history topics a bit too much. I really should try to focus on one to completion. I do try to get back to finish them off though. ie City of Clarence, and Football Federation Tasmania etc... Will get back to City of Clarence when done with my current upgrade of the FFT article. Thanks again for the BS. 42° South (talk) 10:50, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh dear ... I just had a look at some of his edits. Memories of Brian have come flooding back ;). Best at first to point him to WP:MOS and try to engage him. If that fails, and assuming you've made every effort to try and discuss your concerns with him, then I believe you'd be within your right just to revert all his problem edits (unless you want to spend a couple of hours tidying them up). Users like him come and go, he will quite possibly edit this weekend before getting sick of it and never logging on again. Jevansen (talk) 11:43, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aaroncrick. I have archived the FAC nomination for York Park due to its outstanding issues and the fact that it has been up a long time. I understand that Brianboulton has offered to do a copyedit. When he is finished, you are welcome to bring the article back to FAC, even if it is sooner than the recommended "few weeks". I suspect that at that point the article should sail through to promotion. Good luck! Karanacs (talk) 18:11, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Aaroncrick, if you bring it back sooner than two weeks, be sure to add a note with Karanacs' diff [1] so that another editor doesn't remove the nom as premature. Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:55, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

York Park copyedits

I'm finished on that. A couple of queries:-

  • The 2003 World Cup Rugby Union fixture between Romania and Namibia is uncited. There must be an appropriate source somewhere.
  • Record attendances. You mention the 17,000 that came to Billy Graham in 1959, but no figures for any of the concerts (Ike & Tina Turner, Crusty Demons, Elton John). No figures available?

Subject to those, I'd say the article could be renominated at FAC. I would read it carefully first, though, to ensure that no unfortunate howlers have crept in. Good luck with it. Brianboulton (talk) 13:15, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
