On-Air Personalities
Mark Roberts
Mark is a local guy who grew up just outside of Freeburg, Pennsylvania. Attended Freeburg-Washington Elementary School, Mark is a 1998 graduate of Selinsgrove High School and attended Susquehanna University. He found a passion for music after spending countless hours making “mix tapes” for himself and friends on his first Stereo. Mark joined the Max Media of PA team as a part timer in 1999 and eventually was hired as Full Time News Director in 2000. After a brief stint in News and the Marketing Department, Mark discovered his real identity as a true radio personality, taking over the co-hosting duties of the B98.3 morning show. Mark also is the Program Director of B98.3's sister station ESPN Radio Selinsgrove. Mark resides in Selinsgrove with his wife Melissa, daughter Alyson, 2 cats and his dog Brittany. He enjoys sports especially Steelers Football and Atlanta Braves baseball, golfing and a frosty cold one.
Shelly Marx
Shelly started in radio at age 16, but I knew she wanted to work in radio ever since she was a little Shelly. She love listening to new music and going to country shows. Radio has given Shelly the chance to meet and chat with some amazing people, having interviewed everyone from Dwayne Johnson when he was known as WWE wrestler "the Rock" and Criss Angel, to The Band Perry, Trace Adkins and most recently Larry The Cable Guy. Her favorite place to visit is Nashville.
Todd Stewart
Todd has been on the air for close to THIRTY years now, in Berwick, Mifflinburg, Williamsport, Washington, DC, and for the last 7 years here at Max Media of PA.
Todd takes Central PA through the workday with plenty of Big Country Variety, plays your requests at noon on the Country Cafe, and even finds time to anchor the B Nascar Update at 5:20 weekdays during the ride home with RJ.
When he’s not working, Todd is taking care of the Back 40…Alright, Back 2. Mowing, mulching, all the fun stuff. Lotsa trees. Lotsa leaves. HATE LEAVES!
Music has always been a part of Todd’s life, both playing it on the radio and performing with a number of local bands. Todd’s wife, Robin McNett, who’s family has a long-standing tradition of performing country music, has started the Robin McNett Band, a five-piece country band playing at carnivals and fairs in throughout the area! Todd plays keyboards, acoustic guitar, and, God help us all, SINGS a few!!
Jeff Shaffer
You can hear Jeff's news & information updates weekday mornings with the B Breakfast Bunch!
He joined B98.3 following five years as a newspaper reporter covering news in upper Northumberland and Union counties. A lifelong resident of Central PA, Jeff graduated in 2001 from Line Mountain High School and earned his journalism degree from Lock Haven University in 2005. He resides in Northumberland with his wife, Beth, a teacher at Shamokin Area High School, and their cat, Sox.
Jeff exercises regularly, and hosts "Max Potential", a health and fitness program that airs on all 3 Max Media of PA radio stations- Hear it Sunday Mornings at 7am on B98.3. An avid sports fan, Jeff attends every Penn State football home game, and roots for the Phillies & Green Bay Packers.
