SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly; your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. -- SuggestBot (talk) 12:22, 18 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pandeism images

Let's engage on this. I'm no expert in pictures in Wikipedia articles, but looking around it seems the "rules" are much less strict than for sources. That the pictures have "nothing to do" with Pandeism: the one I added, a sort of generic "pretty Universe" picture, is what they claim was directly created. The second, the Universum woodcut (has been there long before), is a famous symbolic illustration and of man breaking through old ideas into new. Both are the sort of images liberally associated with Pantheism and Pandeism. Google search these words and these are the kind of images to come up. Hyperbolick (talk) 15:33, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I would prefer that images had a connection to pantheism but will not object if you restore these. Editor2020 (talk) 19:24, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I will. If you have another idea of an image having a connection I'm all for it. Since it's an abstraction, there's not a picture "of" it like there is of a panda (see [1]). In fact, compare Universe. Impossible to show the entire universe in an image, so there are many abstractions, pretty pictures of stars and concept illustrations. Hyperbolick (talk) 20:14, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake above, the woodcut is named Flammarion engraving. The symbolism, a reasonable enough fit. Hyperbolick (talk) 20:18, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reza Aslan

Hi Editor2020. Happy Thursday. Why this revert? Neither of the cited sources properly supports the preceding content, but the one I dug up does. Also, "human brain matter" seems more precise than "part of a human brain" (Can we be sure it was from a single brain, not more than one? And which part was it, the hippocampus? Cerebellum?) and that phrase was used in the source I cited. I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I don't get it, and your Twinkle-generated edit summary—"Restore"—isn't very enlightening. RivertorchFIREWATER 07:42, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure it really matters what part of the brain he ate, of if it was just one brain, just that he ate human brain, and none of this is explained by "brain matter" but if you want to change it go ahead. Editor2020 (talk) 22:16, 4 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of sourced text

As per wiki guidelines, you do not remove sourced text from an article, you clearly went against it when you removed Obeah from the article Occult you also did not make proper use of your edit summary as per WP:ES which postulates that we give a short but detailed summary of our edits, you clearly werent thinking about that policy because your edit summary read "Clean up" when in actuality you removed a text which had 3 citations affixed to it, "Clean up" isnt good enough reason to remove sourced texts from an article so until you are able to provide a plausible explanation as per your actions i am afraid the information would be re-inserted, not reverted but re-inserted as you positively have improved some aspects of the article. Celestina007 (talk) 02:34, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you think it should be reinserted, please do so. Editor2020 (talk) 02:37, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I put it back in. Does that work for you?Editor2020 (talk) 02:44, 18 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reversion of Edit on Yahweh article

Hi, you reverted without comment the statement:

"The Hebrew Bible gives the impression that location of the Ark of the Covenant was intended to be the central or even sole place of worship of Yahweh, but archeological evidence suggests this was not the case"

to this:

"The Hebrew Bible gives the impression that the Jerusalem temple was always meant to be the central or even sole temple of Yahweh"

As far as I'm aware what I said is factually correct. If I put my edit back are you likely to revert it again? Thanks. Woscafrench (talk) 10:43, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You changed referenced material. Editor2020 (talk) 17:43, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Revert of Omnipotence article edit

The Bible was referenced as the primary source. Please explain why you indicated sourcing as a problem? Thanks! Camille G. Weston (talk) 18:48, 21 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

From WP:PRIMARY

"Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published secondary sources and, to a lesser extent, on tertiary sources and primary sources. Secondary or tertiary sources are needed to establish the topic's notability and to avoid novel interpretations of primary sources. All analyses and interpretive or synthetic claims about primary sources must be referenced to a secondary or tertiary source, and must not be an original analysis of the primary-source material by Wikipedia editors."

Please revert citation of textbooks by Geisler and Nix at 10p

Geisler and Nix are std textbooks in world-wide classrooms. I filled in all pertinent citations. Please revert to add these. Thank you

I disagree. Please discuss on Talk page before reverting, per WP:BRD.Editor2020 (talk) 04:25, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Warring Notification

This notice is a designed to bring attention to the last reverts that you have done for edits by Camille G. Weston (talk). Although the edits have occurred across differing pages, they share contextual relevance in that they are causeless, unsubstantiated and specifically regarding the topic of Christianity and the Biblical concept of the Trinity. At other times edits have been inconspicuously removed, as in the article on Omnipotence. Edit warring is prohibited at Wikipedia and the next incident will be formally reported. Thank you for understanding.

Stop icon

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. -User:Camillegweston144

I think perhaps you don't understand what WP:Edit Warring is. Editor2020 (talk) 18:28, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
In life and Wikipedia, it is wise to have a discussion before making significant changes that will affect the lives of others. Before you edit, especially a reversion of another editor's work, please discuss it with them first. Thanks! :-) Camille G. Weston (talk) 20:04, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's WP:BRD, Bold, Revert, then Discuss on the Talk page. You might as well get used to being reverted, as it is going to happen a lot, especially starting out.Editor2020 (talk) 23:55, 24 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Revert to Soul article

Why is my edit on the Soul article reversed? ChocolateElemental (talk) 21:09, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition was not based on a WP:Reliable Source which does not support the claim made ("however, that the Soul is the true form of all mortal life, and is responsible for having the body to be sentient")and was placed in the WP:Lead section rather than in the article. Lead section deletion on artist page

Recently, I summarized some of the section on "Market reception" for the Willem de Kooning biography article to add to the lead section there. Another editor deleted it as being unreferenced. Is it proper to now add the references back into the summarized text and put it into the lead section with references? Maybe I have misread the other editor's intentions, if you could glance at this. ManKnowsInfinity (talk) 20:59, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You need to discuss it on the article's talk page, per WP:BRD. Editor2020 (talk) 22:04, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on "Torah scroll (Yemenite)"

User:Editor2020, shalom. I noticed where you deleted a sentence where we mentioned Rashi's view, and where he, ostensibly, writes in his commentary on Genesis 25:6 that the Hebrew word "pilagshim" is written in "defective scriptum," based on what we also read here. Have you found some other reason why the edit should not stand? If I was mistaken, please let me know. Have a good Shabbos!Davidbena (talk) 05:13, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It's almost exactly the same as the previous sentence. Could you vary the wordage so I understand the difference in meaning? Editor2020 (talk) 20:20, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here, the second reference is referring to a different word which has the exact same problem as the first word, meaning, both (according to Rashi) are written in "defective scriptum," although in the Masoretic text it is not written in "defective scriptum," but in "plene scriptum."Davidbena (talk) 16:25, 21 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

One true church

I think your rearrangement of content at One true church was a good one. None of this stuff has any sources, though, and I was wondering if this is a subject area of interest to you, and if you could find some references? Cordially, Mathglot (talk) 19:51, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If the are discussed in the article, with sources, then the don't need them in the Lead section. If not, they shouldn't be here at all. –Editor2020 (talk) 21:37, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, you're absolutely right, and I see that they are in the body though I missed that first time around, so all is good. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 21:45, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Catholicism redirect

FYI, I've restored the previous redirect that was the outcome of an RM in August. Given that this is such a controversial naming area (currently especially, but also in general historically on Wikipedia), changes to titles or targets in the area typically should have discussion. I'd suggest RfD as the best place to have the discussion if you still think it should be retargeted. ; OK. tTonyBallioni (talk) 04:36, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

OK. Thanks. –Editor2020 (talk) 13:35, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problem of Hell

I reverted your revert of my revert (heh) on Problem of Hell. I want to be clear, you are welcome to reintroduce the change, and this would not be edit-warring. In fact, I expect that's what you'll do. What you aren't welcome to do is revert it. I was reverting an edit from a sockpuppet of a banned user, Apollo The Logician (talk · contribs). Again, I expect there's a good chance you'll undo my change and you are welcome to do so, only not via a revert. Specifically, if you undo my change, you take full responsibility for it (which is fine). --Yamla (talk) 11:31, 30 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of Biblical Names

I noticed your "Huh?" comments. An earlier version of the list asserted that any noun in the Bible counted as a "name". I moved the list toward a more reasonable definition of "name," but didn't get every strange non-name entry in the thing out. Alephb (talk) 09:05, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Overcategarization in Jhatka, Kashrut, Shechita, Halal, etc.

Hi Editor2020. Thanks for fixing overcategarization in these articles (and it was me who mistakenly added some of these redundant/unwanted categories earlier). However, I feel categories such as "animal rights", "animal cruelties", etc. should not be removed for religious killings are one of the fundamental animal rights issues. Without these, the articles would remain hidden from the view of the animal rights movement, which negates the very purpose of categorization. Wouldn't it be like listing Albert Einstein with various categories as "German Jews", "People from Ulm", "American pacifists", etc. without adding the main one, viz. "20th-century physicists" or "Nobel laureates in Physics"? Rasnaboy (talk) 06:16, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your input. For any of the Categories you added, please discuss why you think the should be added on the Talk page. You might be able to convince us. Editor2020 (talk) 14:26, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Secular morality

Hi Editor 2020, I am curious why you reverted my edit to Secular Humanism. The referenced text is Psalm 14 which is part of the Old Testament i.e. the Hebrew Bible. This dates back to at least 3,000 years ago. Why do you think calling it the Christian Bible is more accurate. The NT does not include the Psalms. Herodotus72 (talk) 02:42, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find any edits I made to Secular humanism. Editor2020 (talk) 03:23, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I did find one in Secular morality. I'll look at that. Editor2020 (talk) 03:25, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What you did is change the claim made without changing the source which supposedly supports the claim. You have had two different reverts from different editors, and are engaging in what is known as Edit warring. You need to follow WP:BRD. You made an Edit, you were Reverted, now you need to Discuss why you think your edit should be made on the Talk page. Editor2020 (talk) 03:38, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For your attention

Hello, I'm not sure why did you reverse my edits on the article future studies. I think you should supply some explanation for such action. I asked admins on my talk page. Nachi (talk) 17:57, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi נחי. I do not know why Editor2020 removed your edits, but I have restored them since they didn't appear to be obvious vandalism, and you did supply a reference. Woscafrench (talk) 23:37, 3 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. I hope the discussion in the talk page will end with a consensus. Nachi (talk) 11:13, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page gnome) Hello נחי. Please pursue the discussion at the article's talk page (those pages are to discuss article improvements). I started a thread there on this topic. Thanks, —PaleoNeonate02:29, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the good summary there. I think it's a good starting point for a productive discussion. I'll relate soon. Nachi (talk) 11:13, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your revert of Category:Posthumanism

Hi. You didn't provide any reason for this revert of my addition of a category. I did not add it without first carefully reading through both the article on Heaven's Gate and the article on posthumanism. If you would do so, I think it would be clear that HG's entire project was a posthumanist agenda, their plan to take people "beyond the human level," as they put it. I had a cogent reason for including it, while you had no known reason for reverting it, so how about we put it back? Thanks. Johanna-Hypatia (talk) 05:20, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:BRD (Bold, Revert, Discuss) if you believe that the categorization is justified you can make an argument for its inclusion on the Talk page. Thanks! Editor2020 (talk) 21:11, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

References

I figured I'd explain the issue with your edits to this category before reverting them since I don't want my reverts to come as a surprise if you're online right now.

Category:Amphetamine was constructed as a WP:Topic category; your edits essentially modified it so that it's now a mix between a topic category and a WP:Set category. The latter form of categorical organization is more common than topical categorization. A set category titled "Amphetamine" should really only contain 5 pages (i.e., the amphetamine article, both enantiomer articles, lisdexamfetamine, and Adderall), so it wouldn't be a useful category if it were restructured as one.

The pages that were in that category prior to your edits were related to amphetamine by some form of direct association (e.g., biomolecular targets, drug classes to which amphetamine belongs, amphetamine metabolites or structural analogs, and sub-articles that are about some aspect of amphetamine, among others); almost all of the articles listed in the Template:Amphetamine navbox were included in the category for this reason. With that said, I'm going to restore this category to the way it was prior to your edits. It may be worthwhile to read through WP:CAT#Category tree organization if you'd like to learn more about topic vs set categories. Seppi333 (Insert ) 09:18, 10 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism in Bible Translations

Someone appears to have copied extensively from Glen Butterfield's Bible Unity (2013) in the Wikipedia "article" on Bible Translations.

You appear to have an interest in that article, or have at least contributed to it.

I have taken the liberty of inserting the few missing words that had been omitted from the passages copied from Butterfield, enclosed the copied text in inverted commas and provided clear references in preference to the rather bogus information in "ref" tags that might, to a cynical eye, appear not as "references" to the real source of the plagiarised text, but are intended to lead the reader to think the plagiarist has, in fact, paraphrased and summarised the quite different material in the reference provided.
