08:03:23, 7 May 2019 review of draft by Manager1kz

Good day. Please help with review my article. Most of the sources are in Russian. Concerning notability: his books received significant critical attention in the oldest specialized newspaper - Literaturnaya Gazeta (1) and other journals: Izvestia (2), Zinziver (3) + 4, 5 and etc. Manager1kz (talk) 08:03, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Manadr1kz. The sourcing being in Russian isn't an issue. The only issue is that often English speaking reviewers tend to have difficulty reviewing the reliability of these sources, which is why it can take a bit longer to review. Hopefully someone will get to it soon. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 18:50, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

09:52:55, 7 May 2019 review of submission by Tle003

Tle003 (talk) 09:52, 7 May 2019 (UTC) I have created a wikipedia article that has been given start-class status on Schoenus compar. I want to move this article to be accessible to the public, but I am unable to do that. I think that it is because it might be classified under hidden content.[reply]

I recently also published an article on a similar species (Schoenus quartziticus, that was immediately accessible to the public once it was given stub-class status, so I know that this process can be very quick.

Tle003 (talk) 09:52, 7 May 2019 (UTC)tle003[reply]

@Tle003: - hi there, the article is just awaiting patrolling which happens to all new articles. It's relatively quick in most cases but can take a couple of weeks. Some patrollers work their way down the queue (oldest first), others watch the new articles come in (which is why your other article was patrolled so rapidly). It is publically accessible, it just won't be indexed by google just yet. It has a grade from the AfC reviewer, I believe.
Once it's been patrolled it's just a matter of google's spiders sweeping for new articles, which we can't alter, but is relatively frequently. Nosebagbear (talk) 10:29, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

14:08:29, 7 May 2019 review of submission by Gruznov

In February, I submitted two drafts (Draft:Almaz Capital & Draft:Alexander Galitsky) for restoration. These are translations of articles that have long existed in the Ru-wiki (Almaz Capital Partners & Александр Галицкий) and the wiki-importance of which is not in doubt. Since I acted as a paid editor, these articles had to go through the draft stage. Unfortunately, the procedure does not work properly. The article about Alexander Galitsky cannot be reviewed for 2.5 months, and the article about the Fund was rejected at the end of March without a proper explanation. At the beginning of April, I answered in detail on the page of the article why this decision was hasty and erroneous, but I did not receive any reaction within a month. Now I ask you to give the submission another ten minutes and consider it based on the merits. Gruznov (talk) 14:08, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Gruznov: I advise patience. Larger drafts submitted to AfC often take longer than the already-long 2 month wait period, and the articles you imported from ru.wiki certainly fall into this category. Post-2018 en.wiki also has a much more stringent criteria for notable companies than any other Wiki, and this adds time to the AfC process. In addition, note that the vast majority of AfC participants are volunteers, and cannot be expected to keep pace with a paid editor's timetable. As for the rejection of your draft at Draft:Almaz Capital, that is for you to hash out with K.e.coffman. Best. SamHolt6 (talk) 18:39, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@SamHolt6:, thanks for your answer. Yes, I understand that all people are very busy. And yes, I try not to hurry. However, I could not get a detailed response from @K.e.coffman:. --Gruznov (talk) 21:28, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Gruznov: Different wikis have different notability standards. The current en.wiki notability guideline for corporations is WP:NCORP, recently tightened. I did not find that the page meets it, and especially WP:CORPDEPTH. That is why I rejected the draft. --K.e.coffman (talk) 03:37, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@K.e.coffman:, It's good that the en.wiki raised the bar for articles about organizations. However, in my previous answer to your short refusal, I explained in detail why the topic has met all the requirements set by the WP:NCORP and WP:CORPDEPTH. The history and activities of the fund are described in detail in the serious media (here is at least one example — “How the Alexander Galitsky Foundation became the leader of the venture capital market”). --Gruznov (talk) 21:47, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

16:40:45, 7 May 2019 review of draft by Worddust

How do I separate the content sections of my Wikipedia page like all Wikipedia pages have? Or is that an automatic formatting feature that separates the content by section once the article is reviewed and published?

Worddust (talk) 16:40, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Worddust (talk) 16:40, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Worddust: - it depends on if you're editing in "wikitext" or our visual editor (which is a what you see/what you get editor). The former is easy to spot as there will be lots of {{words}} at the top.
In wikitext we use ==Section Header Topic== for headers and ===Sub-section headers=== for sub-headers
In Visual Editor, there will be a button at the top that says either "paragraph" or "Header" - click on it to change. Headers are underlined.
You will actually save time overall creating a draft if you practise first. The Wikipedia Adventure, which takes about 70 minutes (don't have to do in 1 go) is probably the quickest way to get the basics down. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:34, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

19:38:27, 7 May 2019 review of draft by ADSTucson

ADSTucson (talk) 19:38, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am needing help with uploading some photos to my draft page. We have the rights to the photo, but when I try to upload into commons it is not approved.

How can I fix this?

Hi ADSTucson. The presence or absence of photos will have no effect on whether a draft is accepted or not, so you may wish to focus elsewhere for now. In any case, this page is for questions about the Articles for creation process. For a question about uploading an image to commons, see their help desk. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:38, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi the draft title should be daft: Kinsley Laurence instead of Mauritian people pt1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Mauritian_people_pt1

LucasBDaniel (talk) 20:38, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@LucasBDaniel: a draft using the name you requested is at Draft:Kinsley Laurence. They seem to be duplicates, so I will ask that Draft:Mauritian_people_pt1 be deleted. SamHolt6 (talk) 21:02, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

00:58:16, 8 May 2019 review of draft by LorriBrown

LorriBrown (talk) 00:58, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to inquire if I can remove the submission request for this draft and then resubmit it? Thank you!LorriBrown (talk) 00:58, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi LorriBrown. The draft was submitted in this edit by IP 84.46.52.110. You may undo that edit and submit the draft again later. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:30, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Worldbruce, Can I simply click on the undo link that you provided? I tried to locate the specific edit in the history but it is difficult for me to see if when that edit was done that there were not other changes made as well. Thank you! LorriBrown (talk) 18:02, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@LorriBrown: There are two links in my post above. The second explains what an undo or revert is, and when to do it. The first is a link to the edit you want to reverse. It will take you to a diff page. Near the top right of that page will be an (undo) link that you can use to undo the edit.
For future reference, one of the most useful tools in the page history is "Find addition/removal", which can help you find a particular revision. Of course you have to know what you're looking for, which probably isn't the case here - if you knew the code in question you could have simply edited the current version and removed it. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:08, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Recent BBC Media Centre citations documenting Tris Penna's work as a notable music consultant and broadcaster Wikiwel (talk) 11:16, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Wikiwel. Penna has done a bunch of stuff, and is known in certain music production circles and in the British LGBT community. But the draft doesn't cite, and I can't find, any independent, in-depth, secondary sources about him. Perhaps you can find such sources offline. Without them, he is not notable, and the draft has no hope of being accepted. --Worldbruce (talk) 04:31, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

16:11:38, 8 May 2019 review of draft by DelicateAloe

I created a template for a translation of an article which already exists in Italian and I asked for an English translation but apparently I did it wrong. Can someone help me? Thanks.

DelicateAloe (talk) 16:11, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi DelicateAloe. I corrected the {{Expand Italian}} template for you. WP:TRANSLATETOHERE envisions the expand template being placed on a stub article, not a draft. But to get the draft published as a stub through Articles for Creation will require showing that the subject is notable, something for which three independent, reliable sources containing significant coverage are usually recommended. (It is not enough that it exists on the Italian Wikipedia, as each language version operates according to its own policies and guidelines, set by those who edit there, so a topic may be suitable for the Italian version but not the English one, or vice versa.) The Italian version cites a single source. I wouldn't recommend citing it for the English version unless you can obtain it and read it, neither of which may be possible. So it may be difficult to advance this draft. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:17, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Worldbruce, I would like to see this page translated because this villa is located in a town where a lot of Americans come as tourists since their ancestors emigrated from Cuggiono to the USA. I would like for them to be able to read a page in their mother tongue. --DelicateAloe (talk) 07:15, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, what is further needed for the article to be rereviewed? We have some photos as well as reference links but I'm not sure how to insert them into the actual article. When I try to upload photos, they are declined. How should I fix?

Thank you

ADSTucson (talk) 18:17, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again ADSTucson. Please clarify what you mean by "we". The policy on Wikipedia is "one user—one account". Usernames should not be shared by multiple individuals.
Rejection is meant to be final, to convey that the subject is not notable (not suitable for inclusion), so no amount of editing will "fix" the draft and make it acceptable. You may wish to consider alternative outlets, with different inclusion criteria, for what you've written. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:13, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Onomatowoo: - what are you asking about? - your last edit on your declined draft looks to have been in January so I want to clarify before answering something you weren't wanting to ask Nosebagbear (talk) 19:19, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Nosebagbear: - yes, I am talking about the revision of Draft:Eggersmann_K%C3%BCchen that was declined in January. I am just now finding time to return to it and even being away from it for months, I have no fresh ideas how to remove whatever is not wikipedia like. I am at a loss as each sentence is supported by one or more citations. I am hoping for some advice or insight on what I am missing regarding creation of an appropriate entry for eggersmann. 23:03:11, 8 May 2019 review of draft by JoelDougal: Draft Environment lost map's 2 zoom controls

JoelDougal (talk) 23:03, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question for Articles for Creation (AfC) Hep Desk:

While in Wikipedia Sandbox (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Sandbox), the "Luna Parc" new article's map zoom controls were much better than map now shows in Wikipedia Draft environment (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Luna_Parc).

Exact same source code used in both environments. You can copy the source code from Draft environment into Sandbox environment to see the better map zoom controls rendered in Sandbox environment.

Specifically, the Draft Environment lost the 2 control buttons ("+" and "-") that should display in top left quadrant of the "mapframe template"-generated Kartographer Java map sourced from OSM data:

 <a class="leaflet-control-zoom-in" href="#" title="Zoom in" role="button" aria-label="Zoom in">+</a>
 <a class="leaflet-control-zoom-out" href="#" title="Zoom out" role="button" aria-label="Zoom out">-</a>

Also, the Draft environment does not allow user's cursor to drag map within frame, whereas in Sandbox environment user could. That is a 2nd regression, both experienced by just moving code from Wikipedia Sandbox to Draft.

How do I get the Draft environment Luna Parc article's map to display the 2 lost map zoom controls, and allow drag of map within frame?

Thanks,

Joel JoelDougal (talk) 23:03, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi JoelDougal. An interesting anomaly, but this forum isn't the best place to explore it. Known maps bugs are listed on Phabricator here. In the header of Wikipedia:Village pump (technical) are links describing how to report new bugs. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:40, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

23:22:46, 8 May 2019 review of submission by Sobernoodle

Hi there, I am attempting to add a page to Wikipedia regarding sobering centers. I put together a pretty detailed page, with references from about 15 different published sources. However, it was rejected for "reading like an advertisement".

Trying to figure out what that means - as there is nothing for sale on the site. Sobering centers themselves do not even bill or charge clients, so no money changing hands. The text did not feature a particular person or sobering center.

Clarification would be fantastic. Because it was deemed inappropriate it was "speedily deleted" so I cannot even recover at this stage. For reference, it was reviewed by Captain Medusa. I would like to get a page on sobering centers back up there, as "drunk tank" is the only thing close - and it is very very old information that is not a sobering center.

Thank you! Shannon Sobernoodle (talk) 23:22, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sobernoodle Greetings. Since you article in your sandbox has been deleted, we could not view the deleted article and comment on your request. You could retrieve the deleted article, WP:REFUND, by asking the admin Anthony Appleyard - see here and once you have done that, come back here and link the article for us to comment. @CAPTAIN MEDUSA:, since you nominated the article to be deleted, you might know the promotional issue in the article and might want to comment. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:23, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Sobernoodle: The word "advertisement" in the boilerplate text fits poorly with some topics. Don't get hung up on the word, but study what it is linked to. Content must not be promotional. If you have an opinion on whether sobering centers are a good thing, you may find it difficult to keep that from creeping into what you write. Wikipedia mustn't take a position on them. It can't even take a position on whether being sober or not is a good thing, see WP:WIKIVOICE. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:36, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

08:05:36, 9 May 2019 review of submission by Jakeelias23

I am wondering why the request to make a Wikipedia page was rejected. I used all the appropriate links and information that was all correct.

Thank you

Jakeelias23 (talk) 08:05, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jakeelias23. It's good for all information to be correct, but that is not a sufficient reason to create an encyclopedia article. The reasons the draft was rejected are explained in the reviewer's comments below the large pink box on the draft, and in the pages to which that explanation links. If you have questions about specific points, you are welcome to follow up here. --Worldbruce (talk) 04:08, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

12:27:57, 9 May 2019 review of submission by Kanmbiey

Hello, I posted an article about TG Omori that was rejected due to some reasons I do not fully understand. TG Omori is currently the youngest Music video director in Nigeria and he is a beacon of hope to the youths in Nigeria because of what he has been able to achieve in such a short while. He has directed videos for various, notable Music artistes in Nigeria amongst which include P SQUARE, YCEE, REMINISCE, KHALIGRAPH JONES and a host of many others. I believe he deserves to have a Wikipedia page so it gives more insight and exposure when people want to know more about him. Thank you for the opportunity to hear me out. I hope this request is granted. Kanmbiey (talk) 12:27, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kanmbiey. You are mistaken, he is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia). You may wish to explore alternative outlets for what you've written. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:56, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

12:32:09, 9 May 2019 review of submission by Techcherio

Hello, I have been working on this article since June 2018, it has been reviewed and declined several times - any guidance and help on how I can go about this? - your guidance/help will be much appreciated. Thank you. Techcherio (talk) 12:32, 9 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request another reviewer's thoughts - this draft has managed to be declined more times than any draft I've seen. Most of these were on promo grounds, with a couple of sourcing ones. Only the actual rejection seems fully based on notability grounds, which is specifically rebutted by at least one of the former decliners. Nosebagbear (talk)

I recall a draft that was declined 14 times over 18 months before finally being accepted. Rejection is intended to put hopeless drafts out of their misery before then, but in this case rejection on the basis of non-notability is unsound. I've commented further on the draft. @Techcherio: So you've been working on this for nearly a year, and haven't contributed to Wikipedia in any other way. This suggests that you have a close connection to the topic. But you haven't disclosed a conflict of interest. You can't realistically expect volunteers to go out of their way to help you, unless you're forthright about what you're here to do and why. --Worldbruce (talk) 02:15, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

05:10:19, 10 May 2019 review of draft by Philhorn

Firstly, this Topic is very important for all public (i.e. Government) servants; yet, many of them are not aware of the correct statutory Law on this subject-matter. And they are searching for the same Online; the Law cited in this Article is directly linked to relevant Government's websites.

Secondly, the prominent Judge-made Law -- which supplements, modifies & supersedes these statutory Laws -- is also cited, i.e. the Judgments themselves are cited in the Article and, moreso, the Court-recognised Law-Reports (which reproduce these Judgments) are linked (cited). There cannot be more reliable 'sources' than Government's websites and Court-recognised Law-Reports, plz.

If this information is not available on Wikipedia, then millions of public servants (which include those employed in public sector undertakings, Nationalised Banks, etc) will turn to another competing Wiki, and patronise the one that they find informative; it will, therefore, help Wikipedia alone to show such important information, plz. Philhorn (talk) 05:10, 10 May 2019 (UTC) Philhorn (talk) 05:10, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Philhorn: - some laws (regulations etc) can be included in Wikipedia, however it's secondary sources we need to demonstrate notability (livelaw is an example). An article needs multiple (from different sources), reliable, independent and secondary sources that provide notability.
Your original review was correct. You've made some major changes since then, which is beneficial, and resubmitted for another review. This means you'll be reviewed in time, please use some of it to find some additional sourcing.
Dozens and dozens of sites mirror all of Wikipedia's content - it would defeat our whole purpose if adding specific content only benefited us! Nosebagbear (talk) 08:51, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dutysamu51 (talk) 06:00, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Dutysamu51: - as an organisation this article topic needs to meet the organisational notability guidelines. These require multiple in-depth, independent, reliable and secondary sources. Obviously the society's own website is both non-independent and primary and I don't believe the other source is suitable either.
It was rejected (rather than declined) as the reviewer felt not only didn't it meet notability, but that it could not do so at this time (even if you added in everything possible). If you disagree with the latter, add 3 good sources that meet the requirements above. At that point you'll need to ask here again for it to be submitted or ask me - I comment frequently, just press the "talk" bit at the end of my messages. Hi, I am trying to put online a Spanish version of the article "Tito Canepa". There is currently no entry in Spanish so I opened Spanish Wikipedia and attempted to create a Tito Canepa article. I used the Spanish-language biographical infobox template "ficha de persona" (which I have copied unaltered from <https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plantilla:Ficha_de_persona>, and when I went look at the preview it displayed everything but the images. Why is this happening?

I have now created the Spanish-language page https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tito_Canepa following the instructions provided on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Translate_us however, the images are still not showing. What do I need to do?

Thanks Leezk (talk) 17:44, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Leezk. The images have been uploaded to the English-language Wikipedia, so they are not available to the Spanish-language Wikipedia. To be available to multiple sister projects, the photos would need to be on Wikimedia Commons. They aren't, because, although you may own the piece of paper the photo is printed on, the copyright to the image remains with the photographer. On the English-language Wikipedia, under the fair use provisions of American copyright law, you may use photos you don't hold the copyright to under certain circumstances. According to Spanish Wikipedia, however, it "only accepts free images, and has rejected fair use since 2004, after a public vote". --Worldbruce (talk) 04:24, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Prior to 1970 - Recovering an Earlier Dominican Presence. Dedicated to Camila Henríquez Ureña and Tito Cánepa tuvo lugar en la Universidad Comunitaria Hostos en la Ciudad de Nueva York.[15]

En Febrero/Marzo 2013 el CUNY Dominican Studies Institute presentó una exhibición El Músico y el Pintor/The Musician and the Painter: Petitón Guzmán and Tito Enrique Cánepa — An Exhibit Documenting the Lifetime, Work, and Artistic Trajectory of Two Early Twentieth Century Dominican Artists in New York .[16]

En 2018 el Smithsonian American Art Museum adquirió dos pinturas por Tito Canepa: Desnuda sobre la yerba (Nude in the Grass ) y El difraz (The Jester ).

HI,

I would like to know why my draft was rejected aside from it being in Spanish. What is missing for it to be crdible and complete? Like how i can enhance it or improve its data/info/refrences?

Cine Autorreferencial - Basel Ramsis (talk) 12:24, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your Article Must Be In English, It Must Follow WP:N (read it), if Spanish is the language you write in, you can submit it at the Spanish Wikipedia (https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Portada) - Nolan Perry Yell at me! 12:43, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, Your Page has been Delete due to Speedy Deletion, for Copyright Infringement.
(edit conflict)Apart from it being entirely WP:promotional, devoid of any independent reliable source, and a copyright violation, User:Cine Autorreferencial - Basel Ramsis? (for which last reason I have nominated it for speedy deletion). Well, notability is the main problem – unless there is solid in-depth coverage of your course in a good number of independent (third-party) sources, we won't need an article on it here. Editors are strongly discouraged from writing about topics to which they are personally or professionally connected. They are also strongly advised not to post unedited machine-translated text here. If you want to learn to edit Wikipedia, please start with a topic that you have no direct connection to; and preferably start by making small edits to existing articles (fixing mistakes, for example). 10:39:17, 11 May 2019 review of draft by Nandanikri

Nandanikri (talk) 10:39, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can we at times check an article from humanity angle and get it verified by human rather than bots. If an NGO or its initiatives are helping people - can't we have a page for them such that more people can know about NGO's initiatives and gets benefited from that. As per current rule we always looks for recognitions of an organisation before publishing any article about them on wikipedia but the real recognition comes from the people who are being served and getting benefited from such NGOs. So, shouldn't we develop a mechanism whereas NGOs who are not yet recognised via an article on newspaper but on ground they are serving actively can also be given a place on wikipedia ?

@Nandanikri: - no draft is reviewed by a bot - "Captain Medusa" reviewed yours (click the blue name at the bottom-left of the red box to go to his user page.
Unfortunately, were we to take an approach similar to the one you suggest, two main problems would crop up:
1) We'd have no reliable secondary sources to judge the content of the articles from. We are an encyclopedia - individuals come to us to try and find information that's as reliable as we can get it. Deliberately dropping that requirement, even for good motives, would be counter-productive to our core purpose
2) Behind the scenes, Wikipedia spends an enormous amount of effort discussing what is legitimate to keep in/delete. And that's with a relatively objective (though lengthy) set of guidelines. This method would be a very subjective judgement on social benefit - making agreement very hard to come to. We'd also have arguments for "why not helpful but un-covered individuals" etc - it would be impossible to handle. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:29, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thus Wikipedia is not for "spreading the word" as it were - the best route to take on that is pushing some media to cover the NGO and generate the basis for sources. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:29, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My submission "Chelo Alvarez-Stehle-2 has not yet been approved. Will it help if I shortened it?

Irenemoresa (talk) 17:49, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Irenemoresa. Encyclopedias are not long lists of primary sources, they summarize in prose what secondary sources say. So large parts of the draft would be removed if it were accepted for publication. Shortening it yourself may speed review and increase the odds of acceptance. I've commented on the draft with regard to the first areas to target for shortening. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:27, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lucky 0310 (talk) 23:01, 11 May 2019 (UTC) Why my article is declined ?[reply]

Hello Lucky 0310, and welcome to Wikipedia. One of the core principles of Wikipedia is that article subjects should have received significant coverage in reliable sources before an article is written about them. The draft you submitted did not cite any reliable sources and I could not find any reliable sources that discuss Sourav Konar, other than a single passing mention from a decade ago. I suggest that you play the Wikipedia Adventure or read through the tutorial before you write any other articles. --AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 23:20, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

03:35:05, 12 May 2019 review of submission by E-Stylus

Would it be possible to share an anticipated review timeline for draft submissions at the 8 week mark? I've noted my COI disclosure on the draft's talk page, however I understand that the AfC process is a volunteer effort. Thanks. E-Stylus (talk) 03:35, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi E-Stylus. Over 800 drafts have been awaiting review longer than Draft:Hily (app), with the longest wait currently being 14 weeks. You can monitor these numbers by checking Category:AfC pending submissions by age/Very old every week or so (starting next week, the draft isn't in the very old category yet) to see how many drafts are ahead of yours on the list. Volunteers are not required to work on the oldest drafts first, but some do, so the draft should gradually move up the list. --Worldbruce (talk) 14:23, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is taking so long because the demand for experienced Wikipedians willing to volunteer their time doing this work exceeds the supply of such editors.
