Orphaned references in Nicole Scherzinger

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Nicole Scherzinger's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Vena":

  • From Britney Spears: Vena, Jocelyn (2010-06-30). "Britney Spears To Design Clothing For Candie's". MTV. MTV Networks. Retrieved 2012-04-05.
  • From Killer Love: Vena, Jocelyn (2011-04-20). "Nicole Scherzinger Calls New Album 'Empowering'". MTV. (Viacom: MTV Networks). Retrieved 2011-04-22.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 05:44, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

Could someone please explain why § Early life says that Nicole’s stepfather adopted her upon marrying her mother? I don’t quite get it. —151.132.0.250 (talk) 18:28, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

its exactly as it says. When Nicole's mother married Gary Scherzinegr, Gary legally adopted Scherzinger effectively becoming her legal father. ≫ Lil-Unique1 -{ Talk }- 13:50, 22 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Age

[edit]

Why is there no age for her? Surely there is somewhere in the whole world that has her date of birth that is a reliable source. IMDB does, surely that reliable? Sirhissofloxley (talk) 18:14, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[1] (CC) Tbhotch 18:17, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sirhissofloxley, unfortunately, IMDb is not a reliable source. Please see WP:IMDB for comments about it. You might also want to look at WP:USERGENERATED, which lists other sources that are not reliable because they are user-generated.
Also, as indicated in the edit summary linked by Tbhotch above, primary sources (such as birth indexes and marriage indexes) cannot be used as sources for dates of birth and other personal information about living people. See WP:BLPPRIMARY for more details. Eddie Blick (talk) 19:37, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
