After 10 years I let down my guard and spilt some coffee on my laptop keyboard. Was unable to login and just made up a rough sketch of a Collocalia unicolor based on Rasmussen and Anderton. My LCD screen is not calibrated and it is hard to get subtle shade differences and it looks like the mediawiki SVG renderer is having some hiccups with antialiasing. Will try to improve on the image over time. Shyamal 11:07, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rayleigh interferometer

Hi. Last night while checking the new pages, I found Rayleigh interferometer (a pure copy paste of the company's product info) and Rayleigh's interferometers which was rewritten enough to get past the auto bot to detect the copyright violation. I dominated both for CSD, with the first under copyright violation and the second as spam since it seemed the owner was just shoving in articles about his product. Rayleigh interferometer was deleted quickly, but I noticed you removed the CSD from Rayleigh's interferometers and instead started editing it. Yet it has no sources and has no notability from what I can tell, so why was it also not CSDed? Collectonian 17:13, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Massachusetts flying club deletion

Could you please explain the deletion of my page about the Massachusetts flying club? It was NOT and advertisement, the statement "Soon became one of the most popular flight clubs on FSTopgun" can be bakced by the amount of members it had in comparison to other flight clubs on that server. if you clould please explain this, it would be much appreciated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.239.12.96 (talk) 17:32, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ASP : Events Division

Hi - you deleted my entry for ASP, that's fine I am new to submitting to Wiki.

I was wondering 2 things:

1) Can I have the text back so I can edit 2) Other companies have brief descriptions and entries - how can I make mine acceptable?

Many thanks for you time.

deleted entry

Jim, I added an entry for Investor Awareness Index and it was deleted before I was able to go back in and edit it. I added lots of info b/c I wanted to have it on the page in fear of losing it since I'm a newbie to Wikipedia. I would like to create a factual reference for Investor Awareness Index and will reference it and will provide at least three other linked references. Please let me know what I need to do at this point. Thanks, Louis --Louiswonderfulworld 00:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC) User:LouisWonderfulworld 16:53, 5 November 2007[reply]

Closing an AfD as speedy keep

Greetings, fellow administricrator. This message has been addressed to you since you happened to be around, and will be used to bug other people if you're busy.

I haven't closed deletion nominations before, having been trying to get a grip on lesser functions, but found an article AfD'd today that survived another (as nc) just five weeks ago - highly premature. Would it be proper for me to close it on this basis, and do I need to quote some huge deletion policy page that I don't know about yet? --Kizor 06:59, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sortable?

Hi Jim: I understand how to do a sortable list. However, I'm finding the columns don't seem to sort properly! Try clicking on any of the other columns (other than the name of the country) and see what happens. I'm guessing it's some bug in the source program. MeegsC | Talk 12:49, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For all the columns, or just the first one? For me, it works fine for the country column, but doesn't work for any of the others... MeegsC | Talk 12:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm... Very strange! Guess I'll post a note at the table template's talk page, and see what they say! —Preceding unsigned comment added by MeegsC (talkcontribs) 13:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jim, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to fine tune the entry for Investor Awareness Index. We have added references and corrected the entry. Could you let us know if the current entry is now acceptable? Regards, Louiswonderfulworld 20:45, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

deleted info page about the 3impact game engine

Hello, I am a bit new to this and I was working on creating a info page about the 3impact engine. The engine is used by many students for grad projects and such. I work in the game industry and I was looking to build this info page to help other out. It has tagged it as spam? And you deleted it :( Can you please let me know why and what I need to do to improve the page? Thanks, Mike (MicGamester 13:12, 8 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Thanks for the message. I now see what you were talking about. I used the head lines from the website to get started on the page, not intending to use them in a final version. I will look into creating the page in my free time and saving it to a text file so I don't "save" the page while it is a work in progress... Just re-copy back into the edit sandbox to keep working on it until I am done.

Thanks, (MicGamester 19:35, 8 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Changes made in Sandbox

Jim, thanks for the edits to Investor Awareness Index. Is there anything I now need to do, as we are totally fine with all the tweaks you made? Louiswonderfulworld 20:05, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moving from Sandbox into the Wikipedia

Jim, again, thanks for your advice/assistance. Per your suggestion, we have added similar services for comparison purposes and referenced them. If we are temporarily done and you are fine with the edits, how do we move from my sandbox into becoming a searchable, real entry? Louiswonderfulworld 05:52, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The SPEAK Project

Why would you delete a page explaining a movement that was founded in order to empower young people to make better choices in the community??? Do you not find the need for social services to help young people important??? You seem to like birds more than people. Kids are afflicted with HIV and STD's in the USA its an epidemic and yet you delete us as being spam????? we were not asking for money just informing what we had accomplished. We are a movement. I guess you should explain how such socially responsible movements and non profit organizations are irrelevant as you had concluded. Hi there! I noticed you passed Northern Cardinal as a GA earlier today, but you seem to have forgotten to add it to WP:GA :) It also looks like it had been put on hold by VanTucky (talk · contribs)—does he know you've passed the article? Best, Fvasconcellos (t·c) 15:55, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mean to be territorial, but when a reviewer is in the middle of a review it is really bad form to take it up and pass it yourself. This avoids edit wars and disagreements over the status of the article (I could not have agreed it was passable). If you, say, really wanted to do the review you could ask me to hand it over to you before I started. But doing what you did often means the ball gets dropped somewhere (ala above), or editors of an article get the wrong impression of the GA process. Please don't do so again without some discussion thanks. VanTucky Talk 20:17, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you did not complete the GA template fully. They need an oldid parameter and hopefully a topic. See the main WP:GAN page for further instructions. VanTucky Talk 20:19, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You were correct in that with the lifespan info, the article was of GA status. It's just the fact that you passed an article another reviewer has held that was the issue. You seem to have great judgment and article writing skills, so if you would like some help with doing more reviews, I would be glad to walk you through it. GA always needs more reviewers, it's just most helpful if you do a review completely yourself ala the steps at WP:GAN. VanTucky Talk 20:26, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you made a mistake by deleting "user:Rafti Institute" as I have made a large number of good contributions to Wikipedia, including the star designs listed under "Tattoo Flash" and now updating these images is complicated. User William Rafti William Rafti 13:52, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re:your questions

I can tell you right off that bat that an article without images can definitely be passed. In fact, failing only because there are no images present is a no-no. If someone does that, take it to reassessment without hesitating. The list definitely needs a little prose expansion - especially in the lead - ala the North America list. Snell deletion...

Why deleted? (Why not proposed for deletion, and a note to me rather than simple deletion?) Was in process of creating the article. Have references from notable publications to substantiate my input. re: seven devils

I added the tag to prompt cleanup of grammar and organization mostly. The thing that especially bugs me is that is says there are 3 factors that contribute to difficulty and then 4 are listed. I don't know anything about seven devils so I don't feel comfortable actually making the corrections myself. If you could clean it up a bit that would be great!  Stewy5714talk 20:35, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adminship

I've been nominating many, many bands lately to be deleted, and they are being deleted. I am wanting to apply for adminship but I want a "sponsor" of sorts. Seeing as you have been deleting the bands I've been nominating lately, you would be the key person. I am on wiki every day and I make that little db-band template on many bands. Let me know what you think. Metal Head 20:46, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Done

Tagging is only half of what I do. I spell check, grammar check, and cite sources for pages that need it.Metal Head 15:14, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Easy

That sounds easy enough. I sort vandalism quite a bit. I use twinkle every now and also sniper but I normally find it on my own. Either way, I'll go ahead and apply for adminship and see how it goes from there. Metal Head 18:49, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You made a small mistake while nominating the page for FLC. I created a page for it, which you can find here. -- Scorpion0422 07:41, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your helpful comments, which I will try to address within the next 24. Most of the uncited stuff on appearance and behaviour comes from Swifts, listed in the refs. How do I cite to that without multiple occurrences of the same source in the reflist? I've not put up an article for GA before, so I'm groping in the dark a bit. Jimfbleak 11:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your note. To get the citation so that it will work multiple times, write:<ref name="SampleName">Sample reference</ref> then the next time you want to use it, just write: <ref name="SampleName"/> with nothing else (no end reference). If you have trouble, let me know and I'll do one for an example. Hope this helps! :) Firsfron of Ronchester 11:16, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Jim,
Thanks for all your hard work. The article has really improved overnight. It is really starting to shape into a beautiful article. I saw that you expanded the lead, and worked a lot on the inline citations. Great work! :) I made a few minor changes:
  • Per WP:DASH, I replaced - with – wherever "to" is meant (page 300–301; 1–2 eggs, etc).
  • Per WP:MOS, Journals and other periodicals appear in italics. The articles inside appear in "quotation marks". I've fixed these where I saw them.
  • I also added the publication data (location, publisher) to the book reference. Also the subtitle.
  • It is not really necessary to cite the same source multiple times in the same paragraph. If all the material in the paragraph is sourced to the same reference, just cite the source at the end of the paragraph.
  • Be sure to wikilink difficult terminology, such as genus or paraphyly. These are linked now.
I haven't checked the citations yet, but will do so later today. Thanks again for your work. Firsfron of Ronchester 16:58, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, no hurry. :) We'll get through this. Firsfron of Ronchester 09:38, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, nevermind, it is in there. Sorry for the confusion. Firsfron of Ronchester 10:03, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, no problem: it is a well-written article and is very interesting. I never imagined people would eat birds' nests made from spit, or that there were birds which use echolocation. It is a delight to see such good work on animal taxa, and the bird folks do a great job in keeping quality top-notch. Please continue to write and source these sorts of articles, Jim. An editor has asked for a deletion review of Openbravo. Since you speedy deleted the article a few times, you might want to participate in the deletion review. -- Jreferee t/c 01:40, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What happened

The main thing he was doing was untagging the articles I tagged because they had stubs. Sometimes, like with my last edit, he added the stub and then deleted the speedy. I know that a stub normally keeps things from being deleted, but when the article has only 5 or 6 lines to it, there is nothing special to it.Metal Head 13:43, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

The articles that he "untagged" were tagged again while he was not online and deleted. If it happens again, I'll notify you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Undead warrior (talkcontribs) 17:53, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

CISSP article

There's an edit war happening on CISSP, an article to which you've contributed.

I believe the article is neutral. I do think that it can be improved but as it stands the problem with the article is not that it's POV.

Would you please leave your thoughts on the matter on the article's talk page?

Bristol Rovers F.C. season 2006-07

Thanks for having a look at Bristol Rovers F.C. season 2006-07. I've acted on some of your suggestions, but not all of them. Replying to the points you left on my talk page:

  1. I'm not sure what you mean by pink headings to the tables. They've all got the standard grey headings that wikitables have... I've made the headings of the transfer tables grey to match the tables above.
  2. I'll produce a new gif image with more subtle shades to match the ones used in the results tables.
  3. The multiple links in the player details table are because they each use the {{efs player}} template. It is in keeping with the manual of style for this type of article, so I have left this as it is.
  4. I agree, it looks better centered.
  5. I've now changed the bullet points into a table, but kept it left-aligned to match the previous tables in the article.

Thanks again for reviewing this article. — Gasheadsteve Talk to me 14:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've now uploaded a version of the gif file with slightly paler colours, which will hopefully be a close match for the colours used in the article, — Gasheadsteve Talk to me 19:39, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Caps for birds

Right. Thanks. Sorry about that. I didn't bother to look that up, since to capitalize "Cardinal" or "Chickadee" flies in the face of all editing convention, and I could never have imagined there was a problem. Page on Arena, free chess software, deleted but the reason doesn't make sense

Deleting this article while leaving articles promoting commercial products is inconsistent. Arena is free, so its promotion benefits no one financially. Deleting it can only benefit commercial competitors which have pages in Wikipedia (chessbase). Also, anyone who plays computer chess knows that Arena is important software. Deletion just doesn't make sense. By the way, I have nothing to do in any way with any chess software, I am just a user and went to wikipedia to learn more about the community behind Arena. I was surprised there was no article, and even more surprised when other computer chess software is covered. Wikipedia has usually proved to be a good place to get answers to such questions. Orphan birds

I do not believe I added any such tag. This tagging seems to something automated that WP does. In fact, when I was reading these orphan tags recently, I thought and still think it is pretty senseless to have them on any type of List article, since it is unlikely that such Lists will be linked from many other WP articles. But, I am not in control of policies that push such tagging. Hmains (talk) 20:37, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New info: I see this tag was added by AWB. It is not something I asked for AWB to do, but seems to be an automated feature of AWB which I did not note was happening. Perhaps this question should be taken up with AWB: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser. Sorry about that. Hmains (talk) 22:34, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I posted this as a bug with AWB; we shall see if they think it is a bug or a feature. In the meantime, I am removing the orphan tag from all the 'Birds of foo' articles. Thanks for pointing out this problem.

swallow culture

Glad I could help with the swallow. It may not be entirely certain that the chelidon in the Pervigilium Veneris is the right species, but I didn't get any relevant hits on "'Pervigilium Veneris' martin", which is encouraging. At least English speakers (including Eliot) think of that as H. rustica.

By the way, I may have found the answer to a question that only you were interested in—why do names such as Eutriorchis (q.v.) mean "three-testicled"? —JerryFriedman (talk) 22:24, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jimfbleak: Why did you delete my entry on Innercircle.cc? I had declared in my profile my association with the company and was creating a foundation for others to contribute. re:Barn Swallow

First off, transgressions shmansgressions. It was a simple mistake, easily dealt with. Water under the bridge my friend. As to the review: I didn't mean that the actual references of I noted were unacceptable as verification. I just meant that how they were formatted (i.e. just a url with a title) was incorrect. If it's just a ref to a website, then at the least the retrieval date info should be there. But I thought they were fine in terms of content. VanTucky Talk 19:29, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is no minimum length for passing GA, but an article should probably at least have multiple sections. Of course, no behavior info might be a problem, but not including cultural references is no issue at all for GA. Just so long as what you have is well-written and well-cited, you should be right as rain. Any reviewer who fails only on a general lack of length doesn't know the criteria, plain and simple. Unspecified source for Image:Darkchantinggoshawk277.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Darkchantinggoshawk277.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:32, 21 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK (talk) 20:32, 21 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I do not see why the pages for Rochester Crusaders and Atlanta Corpsvets was deleted. It seems to me they are just as relevant as the other pages. They were also in the process of being written in the same manner as the pages for Buccaneers, Caballeros, Bushwackers, etc. Either all drum corps articles need to be allowed, or they all need to be deleted for being "unnotable" and unneccesary. Followup on your answer Re Deletion question

Hi, the term I added can be found in a white paper about Mobile Software Management which is freely available from a research company specialized in analyzing the mobile domain. I believe it can be considered as an independent verifiable source. I can add this as a link and re-post my article. Would that be acceptable ? Elod (talk) 12:20, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Guidance please

Hi, I read your response and I admit I need more details. I don't see any promotional aspect in my article, but perhaps you can enlight me on where is the promotional aspect that you see and who or what you think it promotes (my understanding is that it simply defines a professional term). I will be happy to fix the phrasing based on your constructive comments (assuming it leaves the term well defined). Please advise. thanks. Elod (talk) 17:55, 23 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Enjoy your birding. I'll be doing a bit over here too and having to wind back a bit at the moment. Maybe I'll develop Welcome Swallow as our aussie one...cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 22:56, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

please help

Hi again. We discussed my article about Software Components Over The Air, which is a pure term, defined by a reliable and verifiable source. Apparantly, another administrator has deleted it, claiming it is advertising even though there is no mention of a company or product, so I really can't see the any aspect of advertisement. I am frustrated by the fact that the other administrator has not responded to my message on his talk page, and by the fact that I now feel threatened by other administrators who don't seem to be communicating among themselves before they delete. What should I do ? I think the term deserves an entry in Wikipedia. There are other similar definitions, such as FOTA and if these are legitimate I see no reason why SCOTA is not. Please advise on how I can proceed.

Thanks for understanding.

I wanted to create a page of this subject but read it has been deleted before. Where can I find the reasoning and discussion about this?German.Knowitall (talk) 18:25, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jim: According to The Barn Swallow (Angela Turner, T & A D Poyser, 2006), Barn Swallows were once cave-dwellers, but have been associated with human buildings, etc. for millenia. There's a quote from Virgil (c. 30 BC) which reads "...the twittering swallow hangs its nest from the rafters" which would certainly seem to predate NA use! :) BTW, the species was often called Chimney Swallow in 19th century Britain (and still is in French) because of its former habit of nesting on ledges in chimney stacks (something it rarely does anymore). The birds were considered a minor deity (deities?) by the ancient Egyptians, who regularly mummified them. MeegsC | Talk 18:15, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Messing with other User Sites totally provocative

Please explain why YOU can have info about You, on your user page, but when i put info about me on mine, its called spam and you kill it...Ive done thousands of edits, gifted thousands of photos, built many historic sites, and changed user to my realname, and you come along and want to pretend that I dont qualify. Well everything on my user page was true and verifiable, and you are out of line. Why didnt you use the information and REAL references to create an article with them as content, thats what a real editor would do. Ohh I get it, the KNIFE is MIGHTIIER than the pen... and you proclaim youre doin it for the common good, well what about the books, and newspapers that reported mywork and activity, are they not worthy? its all for the good of education and environment in the end, so you just shot yourself and your family and nation and planet in the foot... think a bit deeper and get off your malicious perverted crusade... dont bother replying on my old user page that you deleted the user for, why would i bother fighting this crappy fight... you should go back and read the rules again, and get real. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul Moss (talkcontribs) 23:15, 29 November 2007 (UTC) countersigned --moza (talk) 00:42, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Positivity versus the KNIFE

so heres an idea, jim bleakness.. seemingly NEW to some editors... how about building the case for an article as a strategy that is diametrically opposed to all this death and destruction attitude to anything that is less than perfect.. ask for a suitable pic with the appropriate license, i have given hundreds maybe thousands.... find some verification and include it, rewrite the bits that may stay and find some evidence out there.. oh I suppose if its a flying thing with wings then it qualifies.. look I love birds too, but its all a bit much for some people to have to fight the enemy from within, surely there is enough external fighting to go and occupy yourself with????

Learn from the predator birds, like lions they pick off the weak and sick prey at the end of the flock, whatever, same across the animal world. How about some HUMANENESS, yeah the same stuff you would demand for the endangeredd feather friends, and help them too..

Get past what things LOOK like and see them for what they actually ARE.--00:39, 30 November 2007 (UTC)~ --moza (talk) 00:42, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pleasantly surprised to see the Tytler bio. If you have access to this book - An Englishwoman in India, The Memoirs of Harriet Tytler 1828-1858, Oxford University Press 1986 - there may be a lot more to add. Afraid I don't. Shyamal (talk) 11:25, 30 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for doing some GA reviews! I myself have not been doing as many, as I'm currently working on some article expansion. But as to your questions. In reviewing, I also sometimes find systems of referencing or orders of sectioning that I don't personally care for. But as long as the system provides adequate info like authors and isbns, and has inline citations, there is a quite a bit of leeway for writers. So in other words, their system is allowed per MOS. However, there must be internal consistency in the ref style. At present there isn't. In several places, such as the lead section, the article uses an external link as a ref. That is not okay. They need to pick one style of refs and stick to it. Generally, making citations out of external links like that is frowned upon, so I would strongly encourage the writers to rm that style and stick to the style of the rest of the article. As to the ref links, they're ugly, but it might reasonably be expected that all the links now present are likely to merit an article. Just make sure that they only link the same word once in the article. Another issue that I'm not sure if you've noticed is that the lead section is way too short per the guidelines of WP:LEAD. Please make sure that they know that a lead needs to be a concise overview of the entire article, not just a definition of the subject. Best of luck, and don't hesitate to ask me if you need anything else, VanTucky talk 00:23, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please do not delete the 'Embarcadero Technologies' page. It is in no way planning to promote the products of the company, it is simply a presentation of the company, such as the one that exists for Microsoft at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft. Thanks Lacramioarab 10:08, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please let me recreate the page. I'll eliminate the trademarks and registered symbols, and preserve NPOV. When it's finished, if you still don't think it's ok for wikipedia...you can delete it. Lacramioarab 10:20, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jim. The designer of the web page volt4me.com keeps reposting a link to his site on the Chevrolet Volt article. I don't think it is appropriate, but perhaps I do not understand enough to make the call. Could you please weigh in? Thanks! Fbagatelleblack 00:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jim. I am the designer for volt4me.com. I'm not certain what your role in this is but...it seems as if you are a resource for disputes. My basic argument is that my site is no different than other sites listed under the EXTERNAL LINKS section. My site is devoted TOTALLY to the Chevy Volt and seems like an appropriate resource. I am just a voice in the crowd that is trying to make a positive difference in the world and that seems like an appropriate link on wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jccrowley (talkcontribs) 15:10, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jim. Thanks for your help. As indicated above, Jccrowley seems to be the driving force behind the posting and reposting of this link. I appreciate his willingness to enter into the discussion. Fbagatelleblack 17:14, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Need red-billed tropicbird image, high res

Hello Jim. I need a high resolution image of an adult Red-billed Tropicbird. I would like to make some decoys for conservation work, and I would like to use a digital image for this purpose. The best picture would be a full body profile of an adult in breeding plumage (tail streamers not important for this purpose). If you are able to help with this you could contact me at hddouglas@yahoo.com I do not have a user page and do not usually frequent the wiki. Deletion of the Indian Montessori Training Courses

The article that I submitted on the Indian Montessori Training Courses has been deleted without notice. Actually the Indian Montessori Training Courses started by Maria Montessori in 1939 was instrumental in the spread of the Montessori Movement in India. These courses are being conducted every year without a break since 1939. It may not be perceived as very important to the western world but out here in India it has its importance and if the Montessori Movement has a presence in India it is because of these Montessori Courses. For example there are over hundred Montessori Houses of Children in Bangalore alone with teachers who have passed out from these courses. Moreover the Indian Montessori Centre is not hard up to use the wikipedia as a means to advertise its courses because the Classroom Montessori Courses has a limited number of seats and it gets filled up on the day the course admissions are opened and I am sure the tenor of the article did not sound like an advertisement.

So, please reconsider your decision and do let me know at the earliest. And the article which I submitted will be fine tuned in the due course of time and I'll be providing more facts and figures on the Courses.
