Trinity Place is a north-south thoroughfare in downtown Manhattan in New York City. It passes the west side of Trinity Church, a historic gothic-style cathedral, receiving its name. Trinity Place officially terminates at Liberty Street, though its route continues - uninterrupted - on as Church Street. Church Street terminates at Canal Street, forming a "T". The Trinity/Church name-change occurs at the southeast base of the World Trade Center (the northernmost edge of Trinity Place was severely damaged in the September 11th terrorist attacks on the WTC). Also, Trinity Place passes under the Trinity Place Bridge.
