Genres
I think one album IS enough to say that Lady Gaga is a Jazz singer... It's not like she just covered one song for christmas or something ! She released an album with Tony Bennett[1] + The Lady Is A Tramp[2] + Winter Wonderland[3] + she often said she was singing jazz since she was 13[4] + she wondered if she would ever make pop music again. And about the infobox, you should change the "genres" section because Electropop and Dance-pop : Dance-pop is a subgenre[5] and Electropop is a genre but we can generalize both as EDM. There should be Pop, EDM and Jazz in this section.

Although thank you for the great page about Gaga :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThibaultGerm (talk • contribs) 17:55, 24 December 2014 (UTC)
- We try to base genres on long-term relevance/significance, not a recent one-off project. For example, Kanye West made a pop album in 2008, but he is known and referred to in most sources as a hip hop artist, and thus hip hop is the only genre listed in his infobox. For now, jazz should not be included in Gaga's. If she continues to make music in the genre, it can be reevaluated. –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:30, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

Reliability of Popjustice
A dispute seems to be going on regarding this change (and variants of it) - whether or not it should be included that Giorgio Moroder is working on Gaga's next album due to disputed reliability of the source. I have no doubt in my mind that Popjustice is not the preferred source, and I would prefer other sources to be used... but we're talking about an interview the website conducted with Moroder. There is little reason to believe the interview was falsified, which can have serious legal implications. Also, the website's about page includes outside commentary from Entertainment Weekly, Telegraph, NME, Sunday Times, Guardian, BBC, and several other sources I would consider reliable. It's certainly not a random, no-name blog.

- It's more reliable than anything from Perez Hilton or Rockonthenet or ATRL, but I'm not convinced that the outside commentary included indicates reliability, even when from high-quality sources. Besides, lots of the commentary talks about its amusement level rather than journalistic reputation. Sometimes things are dubbed "Interview" from subpar sources, and it doesn't make them reliable enough to use. Snuggums (talk / edits) 19:17, 27 January 2015 (UTC)
- PopJustice does conduct interviews, so the citation of those interviews is fine. The interview should be linked directly though: [1] --Lapadite (talk) 02:23, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- My edit summary says everything I have to say. If consensus says it's good, I'm fine with it. Mlpearc (open channel) 02:36, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- The content was reported in The Guardian also, why not use it instead of a dubious source, which we are not sure if reliable or not? —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 05:10, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- Mlpearc, context matters. IndianBio, if the content is replicated or reported in another, more widely-accepted source then that source should be cited instead (particularly for BLPs). --Lapadite (talk) 06:36, 28 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Lapadite77: Again, I never said anything about the content. Mlpearc (open channel) 17:08, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
- Lapadite, I have added the content back with the source from The Guardian. That should be all for now. —Indian:BIO [ ChitChat ] 08:42, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

I think genres should be updated, I mean a collaboration with Tony Bennett on his album Duets II, her own jazz EP (A Very Gaga Thanksgiving) and a grammy winning jazz album Cheek to Cheek should be enough to be considered as jazz singer (aside from the fact shes been singing jazz since 13 and has a jazz tour coming up). 90.183.1.45 (talk) 12:07, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
