Governance and Policing

  • Boris Yelensky - Russian anarchist propagandist, secretary of the Anarchist Red Cross in Chicago between 1913 and 1917, traveled to Russia after the October Revolution of 1917, and was active in the labor and trade union movement . An article in Russian already exists but an english article is needed.
  • New York City Administration for Children's Services - one of the largest child welfare administrations in the country. One of New York City's largest departments. Has a huge impact on millions of people. It's insane that there's no article about this.
  • Department of Health & Human Services (Victoria) On 1 January 2015, the Victorian Government established the Department of Health & Human Services, bringing together the former Department of Health, Department of Human Services and Sport and Recreation Victoria.
  • Hennepin County Attorney prosecutor ("DA") for the county of 1.2 million people--Minnesota's most populous. Holders of the office have gone on to become US senators, governors, etc.
  • NABS NABS Nomenclature for the analysis and comparison of scientific programmes and budgets http://studmed.unibe.ch/x?43.
  • Anti-protest laws History of instances when anti-protest laws have been introduced around the world. Recent examples include Ukraine, Victoria in Australia. This page could help determine if there are historical precedents to suggest that this kind of legislation is dangerous to democracy i.e. states who have implemented these laws have moved towards fascism / dictatorship etc.
  • Sitting government, please (I want to know what it means for a government to be "sitting", I wasn't able to find a definition anywhere). Possibly under Incumbent government?

  • Evidence Recovery Team, division of the FBI, may warrant an article (its not even mentioned at the article on the fbi)
  • deputization Wikipedia doesn't have any articles on this process. What are the legal ramifications of someone being deputized as a (temporary?) law enforcement official? Who has the authority to deputize someone? Does someone so deputized have the full authority of a more traditionally appointed law enforcement official? How does modern deputization compare to the more common (?) practice in the American Old West? I think these are all intriguing questions that Wikipedia doesn't seem to touch on at all.

  • ineptocracy Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing; and, where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers. Also could be applied to any organization or company. The only difference is these will usually go out of business eventually.

Ideologies

  • Neolibertarianism A term originally used to to describe libertarians who embraced the alliance with the New Left, now used to describe a strand of libertarianism whose adherents describe to be "Liberalist, idealist and Lockean". • Box 13 Scandal. Concerns Jim Wells County, Texas, and the 1948 election of Lyndon Baines Johnson to the U.S. Senate. Named after the Precinct 13 ballot box termed "infamous" in the current Jim Wells County article. Footnote from Robert Caro's 1991 book, "The Years of Lyndon Johnson: Means of Ascent". Johnson evidently won by less than 100 votes (over former Texas governor Coke Stevenson), although the wp footnote says 202 votes were later "demonstrated" to have been stuffed into Box 13 before polls closed.

Fiscal stress is more specific than generalize financial stress, and tends to speak to the challenges of a polity collecting adequate revenue from its tax authority to pay for the many facets of its expenditure program (and explicitly includes the long-term vs. short-term imbalances).
