To add to the LGBT advocacy section:

“The turning point for me was the gay community,” she said. “I’ve got so many gay fans and they’re so loyal to me and they really lifted me up. They’ll always stand by me and I’ll always stand by them. It’s not an easy thing to create a fanbase… Being invited to play the San Francisco Pride Rally, that was a real turning point for me as an artist.”[1] Darraghbrown 13:36, 9 March 2015‎ (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: That section already says:

Early in her career she had difficulty getting radio airplay, and stated, "The turning point for me was the gay community." with the same source, and that paragraph goes on to also mention that she played at the Rally. What does extending this quote add to the article? Cannolis (talk) 20:43, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Instrument listing in infobox

Shouldn't the piano be listed as one of Gaga's instruments? She is known for playing piano in many of her live performances, she has played it on all of her main albums to date bar Cheek to Cheek (including on the song "You and I", a US top ten hit), she has released two acoustic EPs that prominently feature her playing the piano, and her pre-fame roots as a piano-based singer-songwriter are well documented.

Mlpearc, Template:Infobox musical artist/doc#Instrument says to use instruments "that the artist is primarily known for using", not "primary instrument[s]" only. (Your interpretation would limit all musician's infobox listings to one instrument, and many artists are well known for playing multiple instruments.) –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:34, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Chasewc91: As I mentioned, her piano playing can be noted in prose, 20.000 people don't fill a sports arena to hear her play piano, they go to her her sing. If consensus deems otherwise then fine. Mlpearc (open channel) 20:44, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You could also argue that people go for the dance beats or the visual spectacle, but we're obviously not removing "vocals". What you think people attend one of her concerts for is an opinion; what she frequently uses in live performances and on studio recordings is a fact.
I agree with you that too many musician infoboxes are just a laundry list of any instrument the artist has ever picked up - you didn't see me adding back "keyboard" (which is redundant anyway since the piano is a keyboard instrument - but I digress), nor did I add "guitar", "drums", or anything else she's ever played. But the piano is one of the instruments she is mainly known for using, even if it clearly comes second place to her vocals. I'm certainly not using Google as the end-all-be-all, but just to give you an idea, a search for lady gaga piano returns 11 million results, with the top results related to performances (unlike something like "lady gaga guitar", which primarily shows guitar music for her songs). –Chase (talk / contribs) 20:53, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There is also a discussion on the same topic at Talk:David Coverdale, I suggest any further comments should be there, just to keep the discussion in one spot. Mlpearc (open channel) 01:00, 11 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please use this picture for profile pic? http://www.fashionstylestrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/lady-gaga-grammys-2015-grammy-awards.jpg 23blsep (talk) 23:11, 13 March 2015 (UTC) please[reply]

Why? I don't see the need for it. The current image works fine as it is. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 23:15, 13 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That looks like a press image which would fail WP:NFCC#2. –Chase (talk / contribs) 01:09, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

She isn't one of the best selling artist of all time. Stis (talk) 19:29, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: I agree, seems unlikely but, I added a "citation needed" tag to the claim Mlpearc (open channel) 19:39, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, apologies my last request didn't work! Just wondered if Gaga's picture could be changed to the following picture from the 2015 Grammy Awards Red Carpet? The current one is very unflattering on her, particularly in the mid-drift area due to her wearing skin-tight latex. This is the picture I recommend: http://www.fashionstylestrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/lady-gaga-grammys-2015-grammy-awards.jpg

Also, her net-worth is actually $230 million, as per http://www.therichest.com/celebnetworth/celeb/singer/lady-gaga-net-worth/ and http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/singers/lady-gaga-net-worth/ - also a google search of 'lady gaga net worth' gives an answer of $230 million.

Thanks, and best wishes.

@Allyjburr93: Addressing the second point first: therichest.com has terms and conditions that indicates they do not fact check: "Information on the site may contain errors or inaccuracies.... The Website does not provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy of the information."[1] Celebritynetworth.com has a similar policy.[2] Thus, neither of them are reliable sources. —C.Fred (talk) 18:37, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As for the image, I don't see any indication that the fashionstyletrend.com image is under a free license. There's no attribution on the image, and the bottom of the website notes "all rights reserved", so we have to assume the image is non-free. —C.Fred (talk) 18:41, 1 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

To change the "achievements" category to "legacy" much like a lot of other pop stars. Thank you. Cfact91 (talk) 02:14, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I get where you're coming from, but "legacy" sections describe one's impact on society as opposed to simply achievements. I'm not sure she warrants a "legacy section" just yet. Snuggums (talk / edits) 02:22, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I would like the Net Worth of Lady Gaga to be changed from "U.S. $110 million (June 2011 estimate)" to "U.S. $230 million (June 2015 estimate)". Source: http://www.celebritynetworth.com/richest-celebrities/singers/lady-gaga-net-worth/ 70.8.48.4 (talk) 02:21, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Celebritynetworth.com has been previously established as not a reliable source. —C.Fred (talk) 02:26, 8 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Genres

Might we add "jazz" and "traditional pop" to the genres she's worked in? Cranston Lamont (talk) 23:05, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
