It seems that Pat Buchanan has a long history of anti-semitism, see (https://www.splcenter.org/hatewatch/2015/04/29/pat-buchanan-pens-exclusive-anti-semitic-publication). And that there is renewed news coverage of this due to Donald Trump tweeting a column of his that endorsed a variant of the "white genocide" conspiracy theory popular in white nationalist/white supremacist circles (https://www.vox.com/2019/1/14/18181897/trump-pat-buchanan-column-tweet). I think this should be covered in the article in some way but it seems to be entirely absent. facist?

Is the description of Buchanan as a "facist" going to be allowed to stand? Dick (talk) 06:00, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No. That was vandalism and violation of WP:BLP, and it has been removed. Anyone - including you - could have removed it immediately and without waiting for discussion. FreeKnowledgeCreator (talk) 06:06, 26 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Buchanan's 1992 Republican Convention "Culture War" speech

The relevance of this passage to the "AntiSemitism and Holocaust denial" subsection of the article either needs to be made much clearer or else moved to another section of the bio: When he delivered a keynote address at the 1992 Republican National Convention, known as the Culture War speech, Buchanan described "a religious war going on in our country for the soul of America".[1]. I remember this speech generating both (a lot of) criticism and (some) praise, but I don't remember it being widely criticized as anti-Semitic. Certainly the source we are presently using for it, Buchanan's own website, doesn't describe it that way. Motsebboh (talk) 03:45, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

According to the sandard definition, Holocaust denial includes "minimizing essential facts" related to this genocide. Mr Buchanan denied that Treblinka was an extermination camp with gas chambers where almost a million people were killed. Is there any REASONABLE objection by FreeKnowledgeCreator or any other user (supported by Wikipedia's policy) to challenge the fact that Buchanan said that or that saying such a thing constitutes Holocaust denial? I'll wait before restoring the categories.--Angelsi 1989 (talk) 13:55, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to persuade other editors that you are reasonable, then do not write in capital letters, as you did above. It is the equivalent of shouting, and it is not welcome. You apparently do not have very much experience with Wikipedia. I, however, do. I can confidently tell you that you will be blocked if you persist in restoring categories asserting that someone is a Holocaust denier or anti-Semite unless there is consensus that the categories are appropriate and do not violate WP:BLP. Establishing such a consensus is entirely your responsibility. You might try either a request for comment here, or a discussion at WP:BLPN.
