'France participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2012 and selected their entry through an internal selection, organised by the French broadcaster France Télévisions.
Internal selection
On 19 November 2011, France Télévisions announced its participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku.[2] Like in the previous years, France Télévisions will select their entry internally.
On 29 November 2011, France Télévisions announced that Anggun would participate for France in Baku.[3]
At Eurovision
France performed in the final, held on 26 May 2012 and finished 22nd out of 26 with a score of 21 points giving France its lowest score since 2007. It was later revealed, that if had it only been up to the viewers to decide the final result, France wouldn't have been awarded a single point.
