Hitomi Honda (本田仁美, Honda Hitomi, born 6 October 2001) is a Japanese idol, singer and actress. She is part of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48 representative of Tochigi in team 8, and also a former member of the South Korean-Japanese girl group IZ*ONE for 2.5 years, after the competition television show Produce 48.
Career
Honda auditioned for AKB48's Team 8 in 2014 and was accepted into the group at the age of 12, representing Tochigi Prefecture.[1]
In 2018, Honda participated in reality girl group survival show, Produce 48. After placing in 9th, she became a member of the Korean-Japanese idol group Iz*One. She has taken a hiatus from AKB48 until her contracts with Iz*One ends.[2][3] On April 29, 2021, her contract with Iz*One officially expired and she and the other two japanese members returned to Japan.
