One of the problems with this article, which can't be fixed yet, is the story of the Shobert-Magee collison. After viewing the Youtube video, there does not seem to be much of a cloud of smoke at all visible between Magee and the oncoming Shobert and Lawson. My understanding is that Magee's bike was running out of fuel, and had stalled, forcing Magee to try and restart it aggressively. Shobert and Lawson collided with Magee, not because he was doing silly burnouts, but because they weren't looking.

Of course I might be very wrong in this. What is needed is some sort of testimony from the crowd at the time. The links to various online stories make it very clear that Magee was the one to blame. But, having seen the youtube footage and the lack of smoke, there probably needs to be a reassessment of the incident. --One Salient Oversight (talk) 07:49, 25 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
