I want to edit Jordan Maron to say where he lives. TOM262625 (talk) 06:52, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

You have two options:
  • Place the specific information you want added to this article here on this talk page, and provide a reliable source for that information; or
  • Request this page be unprotected at WP:RFPP (less likely). —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:02, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
I would be careful of disclosing this information. My suggestion would be to keep it to state and country. NotMiserable (talk) 22:22, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

He has also the Golden Youtube Playbutton for reaching the 1 million subscribers. I think that should be added. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zaflow (talkcontribs) 13:32, 25 December 2012 (UTC) got any diamonds???? in minecraft — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 09:37, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

I'm fairly certai is not supposed to be there, but when trying to revert it I couldn't find it in the edit section... Also, the table doesn't seem to appear and some of the text in the sex section appears to be rather large. Could something be done about all this? (talk) 20:55, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Person of non importance[edit]

I fail to grasp how this person is of importance, as opposed to this being wrote more of an advertisement of a youtuber. ExtremeRobot (talk) 20:24, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

He was featured in google's year in review. That right there is notable. he got 100 million views in one of his videos too.ElectroPro (talk) 21:25, 3 June 2013 (UTC)

He is now nearing 6millon subscribers[edit]

Clean up[edit]

This article was a shameless piece of fluff which misrepresented and overstated sources. I've removed sources that did not mention the subject of the article. Other sources make only a one sentence mention of Moran or Captain Sparklez. The article is now clear and concise and accurately reflects the sources. I'd like to AfD this article but its already been there once so I'll refrain. This person has received some slight pop culture notability for creating a single YouTube video. His life has no other media significance or notability. If the AfD vote is to keep, then OK, but the article should be brief and free of promo fluff.-- KeithbobTalk 19:40, 1 September 2013 (UTC)

Maybe we should do an entire re-write of this article Evoogd20 02:44, 3 September 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Evoogd20 (talkcontribs)
If there are additional reliable sources we could add them along with corresponding text. Are there more sources? Not sure I see any reason for a "re-write" but I'm open to discussion. What do you think is lacking in the current version? (please be specific) Thanks,-- KeithbobTalk 17:28, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
Deciding on removing the infobox picture. Seems copyrighted and not a great picture for a BLP. ///EuroCarGT 02:30, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Image removed per F7. ///EuroCarGT 21:27, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

Unnecessary Citation needed[edit]

Yeah, there's a pointless "Citation needed" at the end of the article when it lists his YouTube videos. The information is accessible on his YouTube, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and is common knowledge.

Additionally, it's worth mentioning that his most popular video, Revenge, is currently one of the highest, if not the highest, video game related video on the site. 2601:9:3D00:5E8:146D:4C1F:ECA5:9939 (talk) 17:18, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

This page relates mainly to Captiansparkelz rather than Jordan Maron. Jordan himself uploaded a video describing his background and life growing up. I believe that this video would be a good source to the page. [1] Calibreslicer (talk) 07:19, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

The legal battle[edit]

I'd like to put in something about how YouTube deleted the video after it's initial posting and how, after quite a large legal battle, Jordan was allowed to re-post the video. The video had 5 million views before the initial deletion, and has amassed 32 million plus views afterward. I couldn't because I couldn't figure out where the links stopped and the text began, as well as where to put it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TylerinBellevue (talkcontribs) 16:27, 27 October 2014 (UTC)
