"Okamoto was a 24-year-old botany student from a middle-class family and a convert to Islam when he was recruited to the Japanese Red Army.[2] He was later detained in Lebanon. During his stay in Lebanon, Okamoto converted to Islam.[3]"

OK, so what was the order of these events? First was conversion to Islam (where?) or joining the Red Army? He was detained in Lebanon "later" than what? - presumably, later than his recruitment to the Red Army. But the first sentence says that he was "... a convert to Islam when he was recruited ...".

Also, why was he "detained" in Lebanon? Later in the article, it transpires that he seems to have finally ended up in Lebanon, but this particular paragraph seems to be referring to a time before the airport massacre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.64.142.162 (talk) 23:39, 8 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
