Incorrect Picture[edit]

There are two actresses with the name Peyton List, the one pictured on this page is Peyton R. List. Clearly she is not 21 years old as the caption states. Please make adjustments. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.61.86.244 (talk) 06:56, 14 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hadn't realized there were two Peyton Lists running around out there. In any case, image has now been removed. Tabercil (talk) 23:22, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the reference to this Peyton List being a starpower ambassador since whoever added it clearly did not do their homework, given that child is 12 years old, and this article is for the Peyton List born in 1986. They even included the reference, but did not apparently read. Picture probably came from starlight, too. http://www.starlight.org/starpowerambassadors/ 204.17.31.126 (talk) 20:33, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It would be nice to get a picture for this page, and as well an updated one for the other Peyton List at Peyton Roi List (the image on that page is four years old and she looks nothing like that now). This would help relieve some of the potential confusion between the two pages.--Racerx11 (talk) 03:09, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite of the page[edit]

I have done a semi rewrite of this page. It was shockingly awful and I felt it was needed. However, I have little information about this girl and have literally done the rewrite using the information already on the page. Given how badly it was written, I don't know how reliable that information is. So if anyone had the time or will to actually research this article, it would be welcomed by all, I am sure! Added info, section on actresses with same names, from interview with Access Hollywood by younger actress[edit]

Shared name with fellow actress Peyton List (born 1998)[edit]

Peyton List shares the exact same name with a fellow actress, Peyton List (born 1998).[1] The younger Peyton List was interviewed by Access Hollywood about the confusion.[1] She told Access Hollywood that she will sometimes go by "Peyton R. List" to avoid being confused for the other actress of the same name.[1] Normally SAG-AFTRA, the trade union representing actors, has a strict policy about avoiding having actors with the exact same name, but this instance went by unnoticed.[1] The younger actress explained how that came to be: “I guess I signed up with my real name and she signed up with her middle name."[1] The two actresses have appeared together — when the older Peyton List starred on the soap opera As the World Turns as character Lucy Montgomery, the younger Peyton List appeared on the same program.[1] The younger actress said much confusion occurred with the production staff for their respective television shows when they ended up staying at the same hotel:"“We stayed at the same hotel actually at one point and we got each other’s call sheets and I got voicemails for her and she got the same thing from me."[1]

This Wikipedia description is accurate and true. The problem? It's true about two different people. That's right. Two Peyton Lists are working actresses and models. Two Peyton Lists are, um, listed on IMDb. Two Peyton Lists are currently on our TVs. Two Peyton Lists are confusing our Google searches. Two Peyton Lists are messing with our minds.

Peyton E. List[edit]

  1. http://peytonelist.com/
  2. https://twitter.com/peyton_elist

Unfortunately, these appear to not be official sites.

Anyone know of any other better sources that her full name is Peyton E. List ?

Sagecandor (talk) 04:02, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That twitter account is not verified (no blue circle with white checkmark) so can't be trusted. Too many people pretending to be famous people who aren't. As a well-known actress I would expect her twitter account to be verified. If that account does get verified we could use it. Also the other account might not be hers - it looks like a fan site. Need something better and fansites are WP:NOTRS. The other articles you linked to seemed to indicate that Peyton is her middle name. Geraldo Perez (talk) 04:14, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, like I said, above, those appear to not be official sites. You're right, Geraldo Perez, upon further inspection, they're both labeled as fansites operated by fans. Any ideas on official sites? Sagecandor (talk) 04:16, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Could look for her official twitter if she actually has one. It should be verified with her name if it exists. Start with co-star and show twitters if they have verified ones and look for her being mentioned is one source. She might not want more info about herself published (see WP:BLPPRIVACY). Generally just normal searches and see if she mentions it to someone in an interview or something. Geraldo Perez (talk) 04:31, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldo Perez:I wasn't able to find anything like that so far. Maybe you can help? Sagecandor (talk) 04:34, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I have looked and found nothing. I wonder if she even has another given name. If she does she seems to be keeping is to herself. Geraldo Perez (talk) 04:41, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Geraldo Perez:Okay thank you very much Geraldo Perez for trying and for your help ! Sagecandor (talk) 04:41, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Flashforward Episodes[edit]

Resolved

I noticed that this page claims she was on 22 episodes of Flashforward, while the Flashforward page says it was only 14 episodes. Can someone with the actual data correct that? Teelosdomain (talk) 04:09, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Teelosdomain, not being rude, but why don't you (having checked which is correct and adding a ref.)? Pincrete (talk) 17:48, 20 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

– Both individuals are actresses. Under WP:CONCISE and WP:PARENDIS there is no need to further qualify by occupation, particularly where the occupation is not a distinguishing characteristic. There are no other Peyton Lists with Wikipedia articles; see Peyton List. If there was a third Peyton List, who was also born in either 1986 or 1998, the "actress" qualifier might be warranted, but that's not the case. TJRC (talk) 18:19, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • No opinion, right now, as long as the current titles are maintained as redirects. --IJBall (contribstalk) 18:28, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
To clarify, I'm certainly not suggesting that the current titles not be retained as redirects, and I would in fact argue against deleting them if anyone proposed otherwise. Both individuals are sufficiently high-profile that there are likely sites external to Wikipedia that link to them. To me, they fall squarely in WP:RFD#KEEP #4. TJRC (talk) 19:09, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Are there any existing articles with solely a birth year disambiguator? I can't recall seeing any. —Xezbeth (talk) 20:50, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong oppose our MOS is to use (occupation, born _). WP:CONCISE doesn't mean shorter is always better, because once a parenthetical dab exists the length is irrelevant In ictu oculi (talk) 21:19, 19 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi:, can you point me to the MOS on that point? If that's the case, while I would disagree with it, I would nonetheless honor it and withdraw the RM. TJRC (talk) 03:50, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
