Sonic Article?

Given that the Archie version of Sonic the Hedgehog has his own page, would it not make sense if the STC version of Sonic was given his own seperate article? Given the relative length of the "Fleetway story section" on Knuckles page, combined with the fact that Archie Knuckles has his own page, it may be worth giving him similar treatment. Video Game Adptations

I'm pretty sure that there were adaptations before the Sonic CD one - wasn't the sotryline leading up to issue 50 based on Sonic 3, with the final boss of Sonic 2 thrown in? Scanna 03:41, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't think so, I know Knuckles first appeared later than Metallix, so the storyline that introduced him (Sonic 3) would have to come later than the earlier Sonic CD storyline. -- Jayunderscorezero 14:37, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Sonic CD based material appeared in #21-27. Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles (with the final boss of Sonic & Knuckles, rather than the Sonic 2 boss you thought it was) based material appeared in #33-53.MultipleTom 09:19, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

No stories from the games were adapted before Sonic CD, from the very start the storyline in STC is set after the events of Sonic 2. About the closest STC came to an adaption before issue 21 was in a story in which Sonic returns to Wing Fortress and the Death Egg and refights the bosses there. Though elements from both Sonic 1 and 2 were also used in early stories (the Sonic 2 special stage is used as a means of travelling in the Special Zone in "Origin of Sonic" and Sonic uses Star Posts to get about)Jennytablina 17:59, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, I've jsut re-read the atricle with all this in mind, and really, I was completely wrong! Memories from age 7 are now a little confused for me...I'd basically confused a few different things, and the order of events got muddled. Sorry to cause such a fuss over nothing! Inactive Website

The Sonic the Comic Archive website no longer exists. you may as well get rid of the link. Archy does anyone actually know what happened to it though?

External Sonic the Comic series

For a time a sunday magazine in the UK (it might have been the sunday magazine of the 'News of the World newspaper') ran a continual series of the Sonic the hedgehog along side such items as Captain Scarlet and Speed. Its unknown whether this series was made by the same people behind Sonic the Comic but the copywright information refers to the bi-weekly series. They were 4-10 panel comics but had a continual storyline that continued for quite a large time. I would like to add this information to the article but the only reference materal is the magazine page cut out from the original magazine from 1991/1992. If anyone has any info that I could refer to for this would be great, otherwise it would just be removed without a citable source.

Scan the page and include it, saying where it was from. It would be of much interest to readers. I presume it's just a reprint from either the Annuals or STC (or possibly even the Archie series) and I'd be able to tell you if I could only see an example - although if it isn't from STC then it can be moved to another section (could the Virgin Books bit be moved too, as it doesn't really have any relevance to STC?). Virgin Books Series and STC Character Articles

While the series itself has Kintobor in it, the STC series is no relation otherwise, as significantly different characters/locations/personalities to STC. I propose a removal of the Books from this and other Sonic The Comic related articles, possibly into a separate category. I would also like to propose a merge of most STC related articles into one comprehensive article and the main character bios into their own articles, the Archie comics, while having significantly more characters (quite a few of which have their own articles, or did last time I checked) but the comics themselves have not quite reached the amount that STC had yet (not including the online continuation), and yet Archie has it's own main articles for characters. At least give STC Robotnik his own article, as his current bio on the multiple Robotniks page as the Archie Robotniks/Eggmans are not there. Lozeko (talk) 21:47, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Could be please remove STC-O refernces

Now let me start off by saying that I do not dislike STC-O, I think that the series is very, very good and is likley to be the closest thing to a continuation of STC. However as much as we are all fans of the comic doesn't make it any more official than the best written of fan fictions or sprite comics. Yes it has been blessed by the staff of STC and it should be mentiond in the artacle yes, but can we please STOP referring to it as if it were officially canon? Its existence as an author-approved continuation gives it merit for inclusion, and developments specific to STC Online appear to be listed separately in every article. Its unlicensed use of the Sega-owned characters (the ones from the games) does lead one to question whether notes about STC Online should be included in individual character profiles. At the very least it justifies its subcategory in this particular article, but its inclusion in all the other articles is certainly debatable; I can see good arguments both for and against. Reissue

Apparently according to a post from the webmaster of a comic hosting site who was told to take down issues of StC, Sega plan to republish the Fleetway comic in the future. This assertion was recently removed, given that it had been tagged with for so long. The only reference I can find to STC outselling 2000AD is this fan's comment on the unofficial mailing list, which obviously isn't a reliable source. However, even if that had been posted by Nigel Kitching I doubt we could cite it due to Wikipedia:SPS. --Nick R^Talk 12:24, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
