A tag has been placed on Wroteshaw requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 01:55, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

About the tags

The member Mahensingha has placed multiple tags on the page including notability and speedy deletion and each of them have been rejected. He has now resorted to adding tags without specifying a reason. Burbak (talk) 19:48, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello Burbak, I understand. But you have been reported on the AIV page so that means you were the one vandalizing. I am now really confused. Can you tell me the whole story on how you got warned so many times? Spike789 Talk 20:05, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

I don't really edit that much so I was unaware of the edit warring rule. That was my fault but is there any way that I could contest the tags like I have done previously? Burbak (talk) 20:07, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

Burbak, you cannot contest tags. Spike789 Talk 20:08, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

But no reason has been given for them? Surely an administrator can be notified so he could review it?Burbak (talk) 20:11, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

Burbak, you can report it to an admin, but you can't contest it. Spike789 Talk 20:12, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2016, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Santa Clara. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

File permission problem with File:Silentopic.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Silentopic.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Steel1943 (talk) 21:44, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Silentopic.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Velella  Velella Talk   21:46, 21 October 2015 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Feeling myself.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Feeling myself.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 23:40, 25 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Orphaned non-free image File:Feeling myself.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Feeling myself.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:25, 28 October 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia Asian Month

Hi Spike789. Thank you sign up the Wikipedia Asian Month. Your contribution need to be reported after you finish it, and also only the edits made during November, 2015 will be counted.--AddisWang (talk) 16:48, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

So there are a few requirement to contribute articles to Wikipedia Asian Month, that you need to either create a new article in November and more than 3500 Bytes and 300 words or expand a article during the november with also some rules. Check the rules here. While the articles you reported are not fulfill these requirement, which I originally thought you want to expand these articles.--AddisWang (talk) 22:40, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

Re Adoption

Firstly, I apologize for the delay. I really need to keep my status updated on my talk page. How can I help you with wikipedia. You seem to know the general idea of the site and how to make edits. Are you looking towards anti-vandalism (my specialty)? or towards other areas where I can help. You say that you are looking for someone to tell you about wikipedia. Well in general, we are a site that is user generated with the goal of providing a free source of information for the population of the world. There are a great deal of different ways to contribute (i.e. antivandalism, article creation/editing, and media uploading) there are others, but that is a brief. How can I help? Jab843 (talk) 08:03, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

Jab843, When I asked to be adopted, I just started Wikipedia. But since now I know several things about it, I want you to help me with anti-vandalisim and how to properly create articles. Spike789 Talk 16:31, 22 November 2015 (UTC)

The best place to start for anti-vandalism is here. I recall starting with Lupin's Anti-Vandal Tool. Once you get to a point, I think 300+ edits, you can request rollback rights, which once given, you can use Huggle which is like the holy grail in vandalism revision. I would go under gadgets and install Twinkle. That will help to give warnings when using Lupin's tool. Once you fix the vandalism, you need to warn the user so that they are aware of their infraction. Otherwise it is unfair to them and the community. Yes, even the obvious vandals merit warnings as some people are genuinely ignorant as to what is allow on wikipedia. Onto creating article, that is a bit more difficult and convoluted. It depends what the category of the article is see WP:NN. For example, for new animal species, not much is required. Yet for individuals, WP:BLP, the burden of proof is very high. One needs to prove through news articles and other sources that the topic is notable. I saw that you have tried to go through the WP:AFC process. It is difficult, yet rewarding. Once you get a basis for what is required for articles on wikipedia, it will be easier. Please let me know how I can help.
