Hello. As the blocking admin in this case I thought I'd ask your opinion. You mentioned in your blocking summary that the user made use of socks, and given that his edits were to Talk:Red Dwarf, I think he is still using several other accounts there. Most of the edits to that page in the last few months have been similar unconstructive ones by accounts with no edits to other pages, User:Nosegays McToothen being only one among many. Admission of block reasons
To all admns on wikipedia and wikimedia commons:
As you all know by now, On January 28 I been accused of copyright violations, edit warring exc and was blocked for it. Since then I had talked to the copyright owner and was granted permission to use those images that were deleted. If you want a copy of the permission, I will gladly provide a copy of the permission, as long as you provide me an e-mail address. I've also had herd some false clams that the permission wasn't genuine. It was sent by Stanley J. Anderson amelia.m@frontier.com) the actual copyright holder.
As far as the edit war, it was just a simple misunderstanding of what was relevant in some articles, happens all the time. However I should not have added to it, it was inexplicable behavior on my part. I am more mild mannered than that.
The socking incidents were also inexplicable behavior on my part. I shouldn't have done it all
I still consider myself a newbee,compared to other users, and other users have been biting me. I've still got a lot to learn about all of the wikiprojects and I will be a good boy on every single one of em, and you'll get what you get, no questions asked. As long as no one gives me grief, we'll get allong just fine. I apologize for everything that I did and you'll have my word that it will never ever happen again

Hoax vandal, again
It seems the anonymous IP O-Parts Hunter vandal (75.144.160.241, 76.118.115.224) has not desisted in adding intentional hoaxes into each of the related articles (including Bones), in spite of repeated warnings, blocks and page protections. This has gone for far too long; I would recommend a permanent block and/or semi-protection, since it doesn't seem as if he'll stop anytime soon. ···巌流? · talk to ganryuu 18:47, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Just fyi, I've unblocked User:ArneBab. I doubt it'll have much of an effect on anything, as he has no doubt given up on us by now, but I don't think it is right to leave a long standing contributor indefinitely blocked for a relatively minor matter that grew out of hand. - The evidence provided by the IP seems damning. I had no idea that you blocked so many editors indefinitely for something that isn't even forbidden: responding to canvassing. See WP:CANVAS. The discussion is at WP:ANI#Dwm Deletion Proceedings and User:Blueboy96. I have made a subsection with details about your handling of User:Anselmgarbe. In my opinion, unless we get clear assurances that you will stick to policy in the future this case needs to go to Arbcom. It's the only way to get a desysop done. - When I was alerted to what was going on in the first Dwm Afd, I thought I saw egregious votestacking, a good bit of it perpetrated by sleeper accounts. However, if I had known that those five .ru users were contributors in good standing on another wiki, I definitely wouldn't have blocked. Seen in light of that fact, they were merely trying to make a case for keeping the article in a language they didn't know well.
- The Anselm Garbe case--it was a reflexive reaction on my part to block, as I have always had zero tolerance for spamming and votestacking. HOwever, I freely admit that he made a good-faith effort to suggest improvements. For that reason, my block of him wasn't in the spirit of WP:MEAT, and I apologize for my reflexive block of him. Yes, I've heard him speak, but adding what amounts to a POV assessment of the sound of his "accent" is something that absolutely needs sourcing. "He speaks with an American/Canadian accent." requires sourcing, for which I marked it. There is a wide variety of "American accents", not just one wide one and the same is true of Canadian. Phi Gamma Delta protection
Hi, Blueboy. I'm letting you know that I've unprotected Phi Gamma Delta. It seems a bit redundant to block both the users and the page at the same time: if just the page was blocked, the users could discuss the issue, and if just the users were blocked, other IPs could still add to the article. Based on my reading of the protection rules, page protection should be limited to special cases, like an issue being in the media or two IPs waring with each other; otherwise the IPs should just be given ever-increasing blocks. - People have been trying to remove the letters for ages, but normally someone only tries once ever few days and the page has a lot of viewers, so I think it can be handled by IP blocks. Hi Blueboy96. I've been asked by User:Lisa Mattocks to explain a bit of background to what's going on here. There is a weekend-long project underway at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in London, UK called 'Performing Wikipedia' (http://www.ica.org.uk/?lid=24606). The purpose of the project is to improve the poor representation of articles about live art and performance art on Wikipedia by adding articles that fulfil Wikipedia's criteria, particularly WP:N and WP:BLP. The project is being undertaken by a group of arts professionals who are professionally knowledgeable and experienced in the relevant subject areas. Their internet access is predominantly via the ICA's internal wi-fi network. Please take a tolerant approach to their creation of new articles, which should be regarded as valuable additions to Wikipedia. Admin Recall
Formally we have to have six editors that agree that an admin should submit to RFA with one month tenure and over 500 edits.
- Support, this admin often shoots first and asks questions later. Create's situations where there is none For example, blocking me indefintely when I made a good faith apology for being a jackass, or extending a block without actaully reading the discussion on my page. Appears to be a sock from this SPI of long ago. It's hard to prove it's the same person, but the persistence and competency issues appear to be about the same. Further, another admin has fully protected the article, which is just as well, because the editors who make competent contributions could use a break from this situation. The problem is that the sock keeps creating new accounts when his other accounts are blocked. He participates in discussions (see further up the George Harrison talk page), but it's clear that he doesn't get it - or that he's just having everyone on. 2004 USC Trojans Football Team
I believe that despite the vacated win over UCLA, the Trojans would still be 2004 PAC-10 Champions. Due to the fact, the vacation does not count as a loss, their record would be 7-0, Cal's Record is 7-1 leaving them 0.5 games behind the Trojans. Thus making USC the 2004 PAC-10 Champions. The film really illuminates what I have been researching for over a decade. Once home, I wanted to do research on the filmmaker Michael Nash, found plenty of really solid data online. Then, I was surprised to find that you had cancelled his name. Perhaps there is good reason, you might want to google "michael nash climate refugees" or "michael nash fuel" or "michael nash climate refugees reuters" or "michael nash copenhagen united nations" or "michael nash sundance climate refugees". Vanderbilt Football
Hi the edit you did on Vandy's Football seems more of an opinion than a fact. In reality the size of the school probably has some to do with the lack of success. However their are schools that have a good record in football.
You wrote Vanderbilt's lack of success in football is due in part to the fact that it is by far the smallest school in the SEC, with only 6,400 undergraduates. By comparison, the second-smallest school, Ole Miss, has almost 12,000 undergraduates. After World War II, Vanderbilt found it increasingly difficult to compete against schools that were double (or more) its size.
Replaced Its last winning season was in 2008 under coach Bobby Johnson. Vanderbilt has competed in four bowl games (see below), with a combined all-time post-season record of 2 –1–1. Vanderbilt has finished ranked once, in 1948, when it finished #12 in the AP poll after an 8 &ndash2 &ndash1 season.

WTVM
WTVM in Columbus, Georgia, has been at least a primary ABC affiliate since 1960, when it switched to channel 9. I have seen several Television Factbooks from the 1960s that clearly state that WRBL and WTVM shared NBC, rather than ABC.

- The article could do with better references. The guideline says "if they have been the subject of non-trivial media coverage beyond merely a repeating of their statistics". You wouldn't know this from the article as it stands. Please understand that I have nothing against basketball or any other college sport played in the USA, I was just patrolling new articles and couldn't see any claim of notability. - I have no issue with Gmatsuda being unblocked, but I think it should be noted there's reason to believe that he has not been inactive over the past year as claimed in his request. Maryland Terrapins football
Hey, just wanted to let you know I removed your addition to Maryland Terrapins football re: Mark Duffner for a couple of reasons. First, the part about "giving up points almost as fast as they scored them" is objectively inaccurate (if I am reading its meaning as you intended). I don't really like the phrasing, but they actually gave up points faster than they scored (1,660 points against vs. 1,202 points for during his tenure). Second, I think the part about it being ironic that his defense was bad despite him being a defensive coach is opinion and I don't know if you have a source saying such in mind. I do not think it is particularly noteworthy, since there have probably been countless coaches who moved up to Division I-A from an offensive background and had awful offenses, and the inverse is probably also true about defensive coaches. KNDO
KNDO & KNDU were both owned by Raycom Media from the 80's to 2000's look at KHQ is which is owned by Cowles. I'am from Yakima, WA were the station is. Just because its not on the Raycom site doesn't mean anything. With regard to your recent efforts on Australian political articles, could you please consider the language you are using? "ominous", "landslide" and "wiped out" are overly sensationalist for wikipedia and they are more appropriate in newspapers or TV. But wikipedia is not journalism. Wikipedia writing needs to be more factual, quantative, and frankly, drier. That's why many of your recent additions are getting reverted either in full or in part. Hello there. Please note that when you add large uncited chunks of text in any article it will be reverted especially if POV combined with original research WP:OR and synthesis WP:SYNTH. Using expressions such as "soundly defeated" etc is pure original research and POV. All were reverted. If you have any reliable sources you must add them to the material you are trying to insert otherwise the material cannot be included in the article. Bear also in mind that you are currently edit-warring to include this material into the article. Per our policy of WP:3RR if you keep edit-warring you may be blocked from editing. Please don't add content making claims about what "most" presidential systems or "most" countries do or do not do unless you can cite a reliable source that asserts and backs up the claim. Also, you seem to be adding redundant information: e.g., the statement that whoever wins a simple plurality of the election becomes president already says that there is no runoff (that's what "simple plurality" yields). Likewise, repeating yet again that anyone who has served as President in any capacity cannot run in the section of succession is both out of place (who can run belongs in the section on elections, not on the section on succession), and you had already mentioned it explicitly in the section on elections. Re-stating might seem more like a way of making a point and a judgement than a way of conveying information, since that information is already given. Magidin (talk) 21:32, 25 February 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure about the edit(s) you made to WKEF, starting on 29 February 2008. I'm finding references in Broadcasting magazine (http://www.davidgleason.com/Archive%20BC/64-OCR/BC-1964-01-20-Page-84.pdf) showing Springfield Television ownership of the station in 1964, not 1965. I see an unregistered IP address has deleted the text about the basketball scandal that you added, and then you and I went back and forth about for a bit. I don't have strong feelings myself about whether or not a discussion of the scandal is appropriate. But as someone who watches that article, I wouldn't mind seeing a discussion of that question that might even establish some community consensus, and stop that text from appearing and disappearing every few months. Bobby Dodd Stadium question
Are you familiar with the Georgia Tech stadium? I see you had edited the article last summer. I'm looking at the 1916 Cumberland photo and supposing that the upslope seen in the background would be on the east side of the field and hence would correspond to Techwood Avenue.
