Your edits to Lies are disruptive. If you have a different subject that has the name of Lies you need to start a new article, not change an existing one. You need to go to a page like, Lies (Marina and the Diamonds song) and create the page there. GB fan 23:08, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Cxleb, and thank you for your contributions!

I wanted to let you know it seems an article you worked on, The State of Dreaming, is copied from another Wikipedia page, The State of Dreaming (Marina and the Diamonds song). It's fine to do this as long as you provide the following information in the edit summary:

  1. a link to the article you copied from
  2. the date you copied it

You can do this now by editing the page, making any minor edit to the article, and adding the above information into the edit summary.

If you're still not sure how to fix the problem, please leave a message at the help desk. It's possible that I made a mistake, so feel free to remove the tag I placed on the article.

Thanks again for helping build the free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 18:48, 11 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Bronwyn Megan Ellis A.K.A. Broen.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bronwyn Megan Ellis A.K.A. Broen.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 15:58, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Cxleb. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Broen (singer), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Dai Pritchard (talk) 01:38, 1 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Honeymoon (Lana Del Rey album), you may be blocked from editing. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NSONGS. No release date (I don't mean just 2015), no reviews, no CONFIRMED or official track listing, no charting, no awards etc.) Also, not providing an edit summary.  — Calvin999 08:34, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Halloween: The Rise of Michael Myers, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Canon and Michael Myers. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:56, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Halloween

[edit]

Please stop deleting information from Halloween (franchise). Additionally, please stop creating the page of Halloween: Rise of Michael Myers. First and foremost, the film does not exist and as such it fails WP:GNG, WP:CRYSTAL, and most importantly notability of future films. Having a writer and director does not mean a film will be made. Secondly, there are no reliable sources reporting on that name. There is no release date, they have not started any production work, and we only have a working title. The page you created is basically a copy/paste job from the franchise page. That's not an appropriate reason to create a page. Please refrain from creating the page until the film is well underway into production and there are reliable sources reporting on it. Thank you.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 13:07, 27 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Honeymoon (song)

[edit]

The article Honeymoon (song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NSONGS, non-charting, non-notable song.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
