I am so very bad...
Hi there XE, VASCO here,
since you were the one to wage in in my latest WP:FOOTY discussion, something for the weekend: can you see the difference between this edit (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Elop76&diff=444213970&oldid=444101901) and this one (here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:VascoAmaral&diff=478699977&oldid=471708136)? Me neither, only thing i know is that they were done by the same person, all this (and more, much more, has called me everything but "father") for telling him Quique Flores is the most common name in English WP. Sigh...
Attentively, keep up the good work and those barnstars comin', regards from Portugal - --Vasco Amaral (talk) 15:08, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- lol, strange that people get so worked up about small issues!--EchetusXe 15:33, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
Port vale
Semi-protected for 2 weeks for vandalism; I've also added it to my watchlist. Sympathies from a Bradford City fan, we went through it twice recently, not fun... GiantSnowman 16:58, 2 March 2012 (UTC)
- Much appreciated.--EchetusXe 16:59, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

"Hereford United legend John Snape"
Thanks for the note - I'll keep an eye out for User:Alvinstardust's edits in future. Cheers -- Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 08:20, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- I started getting suspicious when I saw that John Snape seemed to have several cousins all involved with Hereford.--EchetusXe 08:26, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Please read full story as i get the impression you think thats the version we wanted.Edinburgh Wanderer 17:25, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- where are you getting the fact we wanted separate pages. The consensus was basically what you are saying. It was chris that didn't want that and said they were separate. The version we had allowed the club as an entity. Following that we now have an edit war. We didn't have before because the version explained everything and stated they were effectively refunded. Edinburgh Wanderer 18:06, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
- Well if we are in agreement then why are we arguing? The only change I made to the page was putting it back into the present tense so when you came here to tell me to read the full story then I thought you opposed the change I made. I'm not really concerned about who is saying what, I just agree that the page should be fully locked until the footballing authorities decide what exactly is going to happen with the club.--EchetusXe 12:53, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Just to let you know I have taken the liberty of reviewing the article at Talk:Norman Whiteside/GA1, given that the review hasn't transcluded on the talkpage. It'll be on hold for a few more days. --Lemonade51 (talk) 11:04, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Eli Adams.JPG
A tag has been placed on File:Eli Adams.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. EchetusXe 14:39, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Tommy Wright (footballer born 1944)
You added a reference to Leeds United Payers of the Year to the article on Tommy Wright. This has been reversed. JMcC (talk) 11:05, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
- Ah right, well spotted, cheers. Should have been Tommy Wright (footballer born 1966).--EchetusXe 12:12, 6 August 2012 (UTC)
I'm sorting through the now-bluelinked players in User:Oldelpaso/Manchester City players without articles, and this guy has been causing me some confusion. As his birth name was William I initially got him mixed up with William Newton (footballer) but having got over that hurdle, the stats still don't add up. Joyce has him playing for Southend in 1920 and Accrington Stanley in 1921, but your source has him at Hyde. Any clues in your sources? Oldelpaso (talk) 20:53, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- Afraid not. I vouch for my source though. It also seems a bit of a trek for a 1920s player to move from the North to Southend and then back to the North again.--EchetusXe 21:32, 15 August 2012 (UTC)

George O'Callaghan
I'm almost certain that the editor you're arguing with at George O'Callaghan is a particular Irish football troll I've run into before. You can see the details here, but if it is indeed the same guy your best bet is to request page protection, honestly. The guy is very persistent. Good luck. -Thibbs (talk) 21:45, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've asked for protection as its getting a bit tedious now. Thanks.--EchetusXe 23:06, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

I cleaned up the translation of Louis Nicollin from the French wikipedia. I don't know if you want to take a look at it now, to determine if the number of quotes are necessary and so forth. DutchboySpeaketh! 00:21, 26 October 2012 (UTC)

I don't understand why you are tagging Arthur Ford (English footballer) as a Start Class article. I don't see how see how a handful of sentences and a single reference is anything more than a Stub. Canadian Paul 14:54, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
George Best
I noticed you've been expanding George Best's article, so I thought you might be interested in this. An IP added Scone Thistle to the infobox, I thought it was nonsense before I found the reference nonetheless it didn't belong in infobox, but you could add it to later years.
