Hi. Please see WP:INFOBOXFLAG. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 09:14, 1 October 2017 (UTC)

German club names

Hello, since you are German you are probably familiar with club names, is Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Germany task force/German club names still in use? Because someone at South Korea national football team keep reverting me and changing Borussia Dortmund to simply Dortmund in the Squad section, which is obviously wrong and against the rules since the club name should not be only the name of the city? Volleyball articles

Hello, I just followed your recent edits and found this one. Are you willing to delete the Club section and move the content to the Infobox as you have been doing? According to WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE the purpose of an infobox: to summarize (and not supplant) key facts that appear in the article (an article should remain complete with its summary infobox ignored). --Osplace 16:02, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Something that is included in the infobox should be taken out of the article then? Contrary to WP:INFOBOXPURPOSE? --Osplace 16:12, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
There is nothing in WP:LISTCRUFT backing your edits. I see no point in your statements, just personal point of view. --Osplace 22:24, 12 October 2017 (UTC)

Award boxes

Wow! Award boxes! We should go to WPVB and talk about that! We should talk about the whole vb players layout, I have started a new discussion, please comment there. Thanks, --Osplace 21:20, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Yellow at results table

Explanation of yellow was below the table with the "|ot_note=yes" explaining matches in yellow ended in overtime (see, e.g., 2017–18 EuroLeague#Results). Must talk with User:Vasconia for improving and adding some colors for OTW or OTL that would differenciate better than the red1 and red2 of the standings. Anyway, as I said in my edition, there is no problem about reverting it. Greetings. Asturkian (talk) 10:28, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

WP:UNITS re Gareth Bale

It says here on the page that 'the primary units for personal height and weight relating to the United Kingdom' (where Gareth Bale is from) are 'feet/inches and stones/pounds'. Which one of us is correct... Iggy (talk) 07:37, 11 December 2017 (UTC)

But is he a central (or defensive) midfielder or not? Certainly not a wide midfielder, and if so we must convey that in the introduction, I only compressed box because I usually do that in positions that have a great number of letters. If he is a versatile midfielder, then just "midfielder" is indeed OK.

Hello Kante4,

I would like you to take a look at a draft of this page - it appears that I am confused about the way certain Spanish teams should be displayed as what I have noticed on the latest difference. The red text is the bit I am not sure on and the question marks and ('Spanish equilavent of KARSRUHER') should be replaced with the appropriate word. Iggy (Swan) 23:17, 12 January 2018 (UTC)

Tough times

How are you doing? What a season it has been so far, eh? Luck has been simply non-existent. — Anakimilambaste   02:38, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

I thought you might be the one to ask, should File:Msv duisburg(new).svg or File:MSV Duisburg (2017).svg be used in the infobox for MSV Duisburg? The former seems to be used more often, but the latter was added recently as the "current logo", which is also used on the German Wiki. S.A. Julio (talk) 23:40, 16 January 2018 (UTC)

Help with vandalism

Hey Kante! hope you have the time to help me with a user who don't quite understand how federations and seperations of medals works. He keeps giving Serbia the medals of Yugoslavia on the Water polo at the Summer Olympics article. I know that IOC don't give their medals from former countries to present existing countries, this can be seen on the basketball olympics page as well, where many users keep reverting ips who gives Serbia Yugoslavia's medals, with the exact same reasoning as mine, that it's and IOC tournament, and therefore their rules apply, and not the federation who controls the sport. The same can be seen at football at football olympics, FIFA gives the medals to Serbia in THEIR competitions, but IOC doesn't since olympic football is controlled by IOC and not FIFA. Could you help out in any way? Csknowitall (talk) 15:44, 18 January 2018 (UTC)

Thank you so much, mate :)) Will do that, but I am really in that idea that many talk pages on articles are very inactive. Seen many cases where someone ask something on a talk page and weeks even months can go without a single reply :/ Have even seen some that were never replied to.. such a sad situation. Anyways, thank you for always being here to help even when you are so busy, appreciate it a lot!Csknowitall (talk) 22:33, 21 January 2018 (UTC)

living parameter in Template:WP Biography

Hello. When you create articles on persons who have competed in recent athletic events, it is reasonable to assume they are still alive. The template {{WP Biography}} takes a parameter "living" (i.e {{WP Biography|living=yes}}, and if it is not filled in it is listed as a backlog issue at Category:Biography_articles_without_living_parameter. Additionally, {{WP Biography}} also takes a "listas" parameter, {{WP Biography|living=yes|listas=Surl, Luke}} which is desirable. Cheers, --LukeSurl t c 14:08, 23 January 2018 (UTC)

Handball Euro 2020 qualification

What does it mean phrase "26 pre-qualified teams excluding the 2018 Euro winner, Spain"? If there are 26 pre-qualified teams for this Phase 2, and you count all of them, what is the purpose of specifying excluding teams? Besides, if you specify why some team is excluded from the list, then you should specify all excluded teams (not only defending title holder but host nations as well) and specify why other teams are pre-qualified for this particular stage. Afterall, such facts should be mentioned in the Format chapter where you describe qualification criteria for each particulčar stage. See articles about FIBA World Cup qualification for example.

oar hockey team

I was wondering what your view was on whether the russian national team is linked from their games and standings. There has been some discussion, but I haven't seen anything of substance from anyone who actually has a clue about the sport. They will obtain ranking points as russia, and their performance will contribute to how russia will qualify for the next olympics. But maybe it really does not matter, and after the Olympics we will know better how the IIHF will handle it I guess. Something very strange I noticed; there are rankings on the official olympic site and they have not reduced the women's total at all to reflect a disqualification in 2014. Don't know if we should take any meaning from that or not.18abruce (talk) 21:13, 11 February 2018 (UTC)

No worries, I realized that some things we won't know for sure until afterwards anyway and it wasn't worth arguing with people about. It just was a bit frustrating that people who had no clue how the IIHF does things wanted to argue strongly, or another user would not even answer or discuss (not you). It is very odd that the IIHF still hasn't changed/fixed the 2014 women's rankings, but I don't know if that means anything.18abruce (talk) 14:05, 17 February 2018 (UTC)

Accessibility readers

Regarding 2017–18 Real Madrid C.F. season, Accessibility readers can't read that final row they way you reverted it back too. Also I've warned before, it's also a problem with people who read it who have learning disabilities. Govvy (talk) 12:01, 18 February 2018 (UTC)

Formatting tables, please review WP:Manual of Style/Tables, especially mathematical table, to which these statistic tables come under. Even the MoS is against combining cells together in a maths table to which statics tables belong, especially when you're adding them up. Text is different data to numbers and can be treated differently, but numbers must have an overall combined value, the way the table sits at the moment on Real Madrid, it's not MoS. Using nowrap| in Bundesliga tables

Hi, would you mind if I make such changes, e.g. at result tables and league table templates? Long names (such as Borussia Mönchengladbach) and notes (like Qualification to Europa League second qualifying round) can be displayed in 1 line of text using nowrap template, therefore those tables look neater. This also increases tables' widths a little bit, but they are still acceptable. :) Centaur271188 (talk) 15:45, 17 April 2018 (UTC)

Removal of Content

Unsure why YOU decided that the Packers players on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018 should not be on the 2018_Green_Bay_Packers_season page. They're only Packers players and the sources are cited. I look forward to your explanation. Mr. President 18:43, 1 May 2018 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mr. President (talkcontribs)

It's a ranking of players for the upcoming season. While it's not PURELY related to statistics, it does relate to how other players in the league view that person and their ability to perform. Not asking for this to be taken to higher levels, just letting you know what it is and how I viewed it as legitimate to the page. Mr. President 20:34, 1 May 2018 (UTC)

Table tennis articles

Hi Kante4, (Re- reverting additions that I did), I can accept that the past World Championships box is better suited to the Championship page itself, so no need for it on the disciplines pages as well but the previous and next box is relevant on the disciplines page. It allows the user a link to that specific discipline (ie women's team) rather than having to go back to main championship page and then to another page before accessing what they may want to see. Bundesliga - team links in statistics section

Hi, may I remove those links? I see La Liga, Premiership and Serie A generally have no team links there; perhaps because that section is mainly about players, not teams. Centaur271188 (talk) 05:59, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Reverting my work ???

Hello. You reverted all I do on the page ("1978 FIFA World Cup Group 1") ??? Ok for the templates (goal, scores). But why delete the football kits ? The were correct. You delete my work but you And you leave mistakes in older text. Take pleasure with the so called "good version". Shanon11 (talk) 17:05, 27 May 2018 (CET)

Hello. Here also you delete my work ??? Reason "no source" "bad grammar". Concerning "grammar" I agree that it's not A-Level. I am French spoken I do my best. You could just correct it in place to destroy. "Sources" ??? Do you read what I write ??? There no statement only well know things. (1) I see all World cup games since 1966 included ! (2) Video footages are available all around the Web. (3) Why sources for an single analysis of the group situation ore general situation. In fact, Main page is the main source ! It's more ease TO DELETE than Searching yourself. Not a word in "talks". No respect for other contributor who try to help. You probably create Wikipedia and the football game. Sad. I will keep my thousands of archives pages for myself. Shanon11 (talk) 05:15PM 27 May 2018 (CET).

Dani Ceballos (and others, of course)

Hi there,

so now, even if a player does not make bench they get the honour? "Cool" decision by WP:FOOTY (i imagine)... I tried to fix the appalling display of the reference, but it is dead at least to me.

Continue the good work, from Portugal --Quite A Character (talk) 20:13, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Don't ask me why, but editing from my place of work (instead of home) I was able to improve the display of said source at Ceballos (as well as Jesús Vallejo). I followed your advice and started a thread at WP:FOOTY, but nearly 24 hours later have received almost no feedback. I have notified you to further comment there, because a fellow user made a question to which I cannot reply. --Quite A Character (talk) 13:02, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

  • I trust you agree with my (partial) reversion at Kiko Casilla, really no need for that season-by-season detail, with just the club sections we have more than enough for a good work. Cheers, enjoy the World Cup! --Quite A Character (talk) 01:36, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

2018–19 San Jose Sharks season

Please do not remove content from 2018–19 San Jose Sharks season page without explanation as you did here. The WP:HIDDEN policy allows us to add hidden information until a future event will really occur (trade, signing, subtraction, playing, etc). All those tables will have to be reinstated very soon (from 1 to 2.5 weeks from today) so there is no reason to remove them at this point. It would be another story if this was created and removed at the start of the 2017–18 season since that would be WP:TOOSOON. – Sabbatino (talk) 08:10, 13 June 2018 (UTC)

Hey, i just found it not needed to add that much of hidden context. Per the MOS it says "Preparing small amounts of information to be added to the article in the future (such as when a known event will occur). Larger amounts of information should be prepared on a subpage of the article's talk page or in user space." Your edit has 8000+ kb, not small for me. It all can be added then such said things happen. Kante4 (talk) 14:23, 13 June 2018 (UTC)
Please keep the discussion in one place since it is easier to keep track of the ongoing discussions. As for the tables, you cannot be serious about this? Table's size cannot be 100+ kB, can it? All tables take up space and that is the reason they were added and then hidden. – Sabbatino (talk) 05:05, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
Does not change the fact i quoted and my opinion. Kante4 (talk) 14:23, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Hello there,

can you please revert your last edit? I have this approach (with which I think you will agree) that the templates should be: 1 - PLAYER stuff first (club and national team, if any); 2 - MANAGER stuff, if any; 3 - AWARDS. So, as Mr. Lopetegui's 1994 WORLD CUP template is as a player, it should come before the R. MADRID coach template and not after.

Thanks --Quite A Character (talk) 10:10, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

  • It's a good reasoning, also. I was trying to reach a compromise, but it' OK no problems :) --Quite A Character (talk) 11:14, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Talk:Julen Lopetegui request

Hi can you take a look to my edit request in Talk:Julen Lopetegui ?. It is a notable lack of information. Thanks.--87.223.155.254 (talk) 17:37, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Was he in the squad for every title added? Kante4 (talk) 17:38, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Yes, for sure, he did not appear on the bench in many games, actually he disputed just one official match with Real Madrid and ten with Barcelona in three seasons, but was part of the squad assecond and third goalkeeper in most for both clubs. All of the titles were won with him in the squad then he has it in his honours.--87.223.155.254 (talk) 17:42, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Specific sources for the match(es) in question are needed, not the yearly squad. Kante4 (talk) 17:46, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
No, does not correct, it is only necessary that he was in the squad that season/year but not to have played the final in the case of Supercopa or Copa del Rey, it is not necessary in any way.--87.223.155.254 (talk) 17:52, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
I will leave it to others. Kante4 (talk) 18:48, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Well, I don't understand it but if you prefer to omit information in an article and it is in an intentional way, I suppose that you know for what.--87.223.155.254 (talk) 19:14, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
There is no source that he was in a specifc squad, so your statement makes no sense, but ok. Kante4 (talk) 19:56, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
According to the article itself, all the sources, images etc. Lopetegui played in Real Madrid between 1989-1991 and in Barcelona between 1994-1997. Real Madrid won the Supercopa in 1989 and 1991 with Lopetegui in the team, in addition to the League 1989-90 wich is in the article. Barcelona won the 1994 Super Cup, the 1997 Copa del Rey and the UEFFA 1997 Cup with Lopetegui in the team, in addition to the Supercopa 1994 wich is also in the article. Your explanations are not even excuses, they're pointless bollocks. If during those years he played in your neighborhood's team and he had a double who trained, played and went to the matches in his place, and you have sources, then you should correct the article. Again, If you prefer to omit information in an article and it is in an intentional way, I suppose that you know for what.--87.223.155.254 (talk) 22:24, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

He needs to be in the squad/bench for the Supercopa matches, which he may was or wasn't. Simple as that or leave it to others to decide. Kante4 (talk) 06:43, 16 June 2018 (UTC)

Again this is false (btw Lopetgui played Supercopa 1996) look at the honours of any player for example Jordi Masip, he has Copa del Rey 2015, 2016 and 2017, UEFA SuperCup 2015, Fifa World Cup 2015 and UEFA Champions league 2015 in his honours and he wans't in the field neither in the bench in any of these titles. This works like this with every player in wikipedia. Your excuses are just ridiculous. What will be the next? If the player don't score a goal then the title can't be incluided in his honours?--87.223.155.254 (talk) 14:47, 16 June 2018 (UTC)
