Hello dear manager, I have a question, do you think this article is not good for creating in English if you can publish it because I think you have enough information.--Snoookerp.12 (talk) 22:38, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Snoookerp.12 - creating an article is one of the hardest things to do on wiki. I don't think this person is notable enough for an article, as outside of the world amateur final, they haven't done enough to satisfy WP:GNG and they don't meet WP:NSPORT if they were professional.
- What's more, the article looks like a very poor machine translation, and quite misleading in places. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 06:14, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Ground billiards
The article Ground billiards you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Ground billiards for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Twinkle
Hello Lee, Can you tell me how i can install Twinkle and AWB? I'm searching wikipedia and google for the script to install but i am not able to find it. - Jakecalder (talk) 18:56, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Jakecalder - the best places are at WP:TWINKLE and WP:AWB. Twinkle is a gadget that you can add, (you do need to be WP:AUTOCONFIRMED). AWB is something that you download, but you do need to ask for the permission to use, which will generally need 500 mainspace edits. You can request at WP:PERM Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 19:37, 7 August 2020 (UTC)

Pavel Trusov page
Hello! I tried to create Pavel Trusov's page on the Slovak Wikipedia, it was in the main space for over two months, but one of the moderators found it redundant. I would like to clarify with you about the meaning of creating an article on the English Wikipedia, because I consider it more objective and comprehensive. Pavel Trusov is an athlete who holds the Guinness Book of Records, and about whom there are many articles. I will attach some of them. I have seen many articles on the English wiki about Guinness World Records people. This is one of them.

In total, there are more than 30 editions in different languages. Interviews, articles. Accordingly, we have an athlete, a public figure who has become a record holder and who is actively talked about by the media. Almost every day, articles are published on fairly authoritative sources. Either the sources have articles on wikipedia, or are already used in other articles. Thank you!--Matej Bulygin (talk) 18:57, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Marek Bulygin you may need to be a bit more specific about what you need from me. The Slovak and English Wikipedias aren't governed by the same rules. I don't know what the Slovak Wikipedia rules are for inclusion, but if you have enough coverage to meet both WP:BLP and WP:GNG then feel free to mock up a draft. TFA
Thank you today for 2019 World Snooker Championship, saying "The championship was the first time an amateur player qualified, and defeated the world number one in the first round! Judd Trump finally won his first world title, defeating Scot John Higgins in the final. It's a relatively long read, but covers the event's history, the individual matches, qualifying, century breaks and broadcasting."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:23, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks Gerda Arendt - it's my first TFA! I've promoted 6 other articles to FA, and this one is on the main page as it's the final day of the 2020 World Snooker Championship event. That one will need a bit of a prune, but will also go to FAC eventually. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 09:40, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- Special congrats for the "first". I hope for one 1 September, dedication day and concert day, pictured on my user page. I haven't decided which one to work on next, thought of BWV 1 which got the honour of a link from Bach Digital (that little blue "W"), but now feel closer to Nun bitten wir den Heiligen Geist, in memory. Probably I'll switch again, - after all Pentecost comes later than Palm Sunday, and Vision is my topic of this year. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:54, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

2020 World Snooker Championship
Just dropped by to say, what a great article - a model for what any tournament article in any sport should look like! --Bcp67 (talk) 07:56, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words Bcp67! I haven't quite finished, it needs a few more tweaks, but it's in pretty good shape. I'm a bit lost with the prospect of no snooker now though! If you are interested in snooker, there are loads of tasks that need doing, or you can give me a hand making a good topic on the 2019-20 season. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:09, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you - I'm not a massive fan of modern snooker to be honest, used to watch it a lot on tv as the 80s, as we all did, but only have a passing interest now! I'm more of an article dabbler and fixer these days, always happy to do a bit of copy-editing, disambigs, cut out redundancy and that sort of thing, so am quite willing to cast an eye over stuff and tweak bits and pieces. As a sport on wikipedia, snooker looks in really good shape, good prose articles, plenty of referencing - plenty of editors could learn from it. All the best. --Bcp67 (talk) 08:14, 17 August 2020 (UTC)
- Worth a shot! ;) Bcp67 - I didn't watch in the 80s (I wasn't alive yet), but I do have a number of articles from the mid-80s I've been working on, such as the 1985 World Snooker Championship. Sadly, there are still many articles that are in poor shape. Thank you for your kind words again. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:27, 17 August 2020 (UTC)

Sponsorships at world snooker championships
Hi Lee, you asked how I would reword the lede and I answered, after addressing all your concerns at length. Please raise any additional concerns if you have them, as to why the changes suggested should still be rejected by the community. Best regards Joeav (talk) 08:40, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- Joeav - the discussion at WT:SNOOKER doesn't show any consensus in your viewpoint whatsoever. Every other user at the discussion has suggested that this is Encylopeadic information. I'm not sure what you want from me here - the community has already made its feeling clear, the burden of proof is with yourself to gain a consensus that the removal of such items is suitable. Quite frankly, I find it unlikely that such a consensus will be made, and I suggest you drop the stick. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 09:20, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
