See you there!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rodney johnson, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.dentresearch.com/about-dent-research/rodney-johnson/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rodney johnson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.dentresearch.com/about-dent-research/rodney-johnson/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Harry Dent has been reverted.
Your edit here to Harry Dent was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/user/hsdentfinancial) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Hi Matt, you asked about the apparent copypaste on the Jeff Opdyke draft (though I see it's been deleted subsequently). Phrases like "making him one of the true pioneers of foreign trading" strongly suggested it had been copied from somewhere and, indeed, the vast majority was an exact duplicate of his online profiles, for example http://seekingalpha.com/author/jeff-opdyke
Online profiles are rarely a reliable source of information because they exagerate, are written promotionally and (like the example above) can have copyright restrictions. You'll need to find better sources in future for your prose. Sionk (talk) 23:08, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Contact the admin who deleted it, Anthony Bradbury, if you want it restored so it can be improved/re-written. Sionk (talk) 14:29, 30 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia takes copyright violation very seriously, as ignoring copyright law can lead to significant legal problems. Your article is a word-for-word copy of http://seekingalpha.com/author/jeff-opdyke (with a few phrases omitted) and, as such, is wholly unacceptable in Wikipedia. If you wish to insert an article about this gentleman it is necessary to write it using your own words, avoiding both plagiarism and close paraphrasing. I am not prepared to restore it, and there is no need to forward a copy to you as you need only look at the article I have quoted to see what it was that you wrote. You are at liberty to appeal this decision, if you wish, to the deletion review page, but I must repeat that copyright violations are never accepted here. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 16:56, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I will post the article here for you to consider. Note that as the text you copied is copyright protected it cannot be used here, even if the author has given permission, except as described in copyright violation.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:45, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

{{afc comment|1=ORIGINATOR COMMENTS (pasted w/ permission) Hi I am a little confused as to why the article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jeff Opdyke Wiki. does not meet requirements for in text citation. Every piece of the article has in text citation. There is an in text citation every couple sentences as I made sure to cite everything. Matt.tennenbaum (talk) 16:29, 12 June 2014 (UTC) ... I listed the Barnes&Noble page only because I wanted to list all of his books and wanted to cite them as proof they were all written by him. Everything written about is cited (and proven to be fact), but there's nothing additional that I am trying to add that require other sources. I can't add sources unless I used them, everything I wrote about is backed up with a source. I also included all the extra sources as proof that he is a well-known writer (I can remove the extra sources, but it was only for proof that he is someone that is known).Matt.tennenbaum (talk) 17:11, 12 June 2014 (UTC)}}[reply]

Jeff Opdyke is the Executive Editor at The Sovereign Society. Jeff has been investing directly in the international markets since 1995, making him one of the true pioneers of foreign trading. His passion is finding the renegade plays “on the ground” in overseas markets, and uncovering those explosive trends long before they become mainstream. Today, he operates with brokerage accounts in New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Africa, Egypt, and elsewhere. Jeff is also the Editor of The Sovereign Investor newsletter. For his 30,000 subscribers, he finds proven investments… from global stocks to emerging market investments and foreign currency plays that most people will never hear about. In addition to profitable investment picks, Jeff also provides his subscribers with the latest updates on offshore banking havens, international tax strategies and asset protection secrets from experts around the globe.[1]

He is also the Editor of the Profit Seeker; a weekly advisory that shows his subscribers how investing “in country” can result in far greater returns than you could ever find in stagnant American markets. Jeff constantly travels the world, looking for new profit opportunities wherever they may arise, from Singapore to Australia to South America. Jeff’s on-the-ground research guarantees his subscribers are getting the best information from in-country sources at all times. It is these fast moving, explosive plays that Jeff strives to discover for his Profit Seeker subscribers.[1]

Prior to The Sovereign Society, Jeff spent 17 years with The Wall Street Journal, writing about investing and personal finance, including the Journal’s nationally syndicated “Love & Money” column. His work has been published in upward of 80 newspapers nationwide, and he is also the author of six books.[2]

Personal Life

[edit]

Opdyke, the son of a high ranking executive father, and a mother in the travel industry grew up with three passions: writing, travel, and business. In pursuit of his passion, Opdyke studied journalism at LSU during the 1980’s under his mentor Jay Perkins, a former Associated Press reporter and political analyst.

Following his schooling, Opdyke began writing his first column, “Love & Money.” The column was a overarching view into the experiences of couples and working as a team to manage their finances. The column has a readership of over 10 million and ran in 100 newspapers nationwide. After a long stint writing for the Wall Street Journal, Opdyke accepted what he called his dream job, and now travels the world as an Investment Director and Editor for the Sovereign Society.[3]
