Legends dab

Actually, I realized that I don't even know how to structure a discussion about the link issue. The main problem, as I see it, is that 'Legends' is significantly different from 'Legend'. If someone specifically types the former, they get redirected to an article that has nothing to do with what they were looking for, whereas redirecting it to the dab gives them a gateway to get where they want to go. Its an ease of use thing. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 18:54, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Hani (producer), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lolita (singer). Thanks for your disambig work

I wanted to thank you for your disambig work. I know from previous experience that it's not always simple and can be quite repetitive. I'm undoing some of your recent edits because the disambig was caused by a bad move which has since been undone (and a user who didn't bother to move the links when they decided to create a disambig page from an existing page). So, sorry if you see a lot of revert alerts. Thanks, 15zulu (talk) 06:36, 12 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your suggestions for this article. I just wanted to ask where do you think more inline citations are needed, I think that all of the claims in the article are substantiated by inline citations. The sources are not in English, but that does not make them invalid, in my opinion, and they can be translated with automatic translators if anybody needs to consult them as most of them are online.--Wgarcia (talk) 11:36, 18 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

List of cities, towns, and villages in Mississippi

Hi, I noticed you helped improve the List of cities, towns, and villages in Mississippi, thanks! I've been trying to clean up these lists for the past few weeks. I'm not sure if you are interested, but I found a source for the incorporation dates which I think would be a nice addition to the list, but it's a very tedious task to add them all. I've started with the first one to show formatting, but if you are interested in contributing further, it will help the list reach featured status! Either way, thanks for your help you've given already. Mattximus (talk) 14:42, 10 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, Natg 19. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tanbe10

While there were no delete votes none of the keep votes were based in policy, that is why it has been open for so long. Please consider Wikipedia content policies and the arguments made and consider whether you think your close should stand. Thank you. JbhTalk 20:07, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I can reopen the AFD and let an admin close, if you object to its closure. Natg 19 (talk) 20:09, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. It will likely end up Keep or, because of lack of policy based Keeps as No Consensus but I do want to see how an admin closes it particularly since they have bypassed it for a month. The participation level there is unusually low, the nom (me), the author, an IP editor who seems to have only participated at AfDs and one editor who wants to assume they pass NBAND.

Thank you for the work you do at AfD. Please do not see my request as a slight on your work or judgement, none is intended. JbhTalk 20:20, 2 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Closures

Hi, I wonder if you would not mind un-closing the AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Beth Hood (2nd nomination) and similar? I see that there are four votes for "delete" and only one as "redirect". I do not see a consensus there for a redirect, but for a delete. Or they could be re-closed as "delete" and CSD tags placed on the articles for an admin to delete them. K.e.coffman (talk) 18:20, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I can do that. I was just closing as redirect as an alternative to deletion. Natg 19 (talk) 18:24, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I tend to err on the side of caution for BLPs. It's best to get them deleted since they've got that far in the deletion process. K.e.coffman (talk) 18:29, 20 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you added an infobox on Kirsten Stewart- there's actually an RfC going on about exactly that. If you wanted, you could close the RfC as snow given that the vast majority of !voters there want an infobox.

World Cup result-when it says Crystal globes in Combined have not been officially awarded for 2013 season. However, athletes still get their medals. Does that means that that are medals from combined races or medal that skiers get with crystal globe? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Antonio111222333 (talkcontribs) 17:58, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I assume that this means that the "medals" is from all races that the skier has won, whether he was awarded a crystal globe or not. I am not an expert at alpine skiing, however. Natg 19 (talk) 22:51, 1 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New Barnstar.

Hello Natg_19, I’m sending you this message, as I have noticed that you made a contribution to the article St Johns, Worcester, and I decided, that for you it can be interesting to have a look at a new Worcestershire Barnstar, which I designed just a couple of days ago for a very good, but not very active at the moment Worcestershire Project (WP:WORCS) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Worcestershire I think, that the Project of the rich in history Worcestershire (as soon, as British weather will become a bit nicer, I’m planning to visit the Archaeological sites of Worcestershire, make good photos and then to start an article about Archaeological findings of Worcestershire) deserves to have its own symbol, what will also work as momentum of positive energy, helping to make it more lively; so, as a participant of the Wikipedia Awards Project, I decided to create WORCS Barnstar, using as the central motive emblem, used even in ancient times — by Worcestershire units at the Battle of Agincour; now this symbol - county's famed black pear - also decorates the Flag of Worcestershire. So, it will be very kind of you, if you will have a look at the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Wikipedia_Awards and give your support to the Worcestershire Barnstar, if you will like it. Your participation will be highly appreciated. Thank you. Regards, Chris Oxford.Chris Oxford (talk) 22:19, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

K. J. Hippensteel

Apologies, I forgot that. I don't think that all of those tasks are necessary though and the ones which are needed have been done. It isn't usual practice to delete redirects following page moves unless the redirect is somehow problematic. It might be that someone outside Wikipedia has linked to the page K. J. Hippensteel (tennis) and by deleting the redirect we would break that link for no particular reason. I also don't see any need to repoint all the links unless the page about the tennis player gets moved again. The fact that a link points to a redirect rather than the page itself isn't really a problem. Hut 8.5 06:35, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Lutontownfc Sandbox

You deleted the Sandbox I worked so hard on. I put almost everything that came into my head into that Sandbox, such as imaginary people, characters, boxers and plans for a story. Now it has been deleted, I'd like to find a way to have this page back. I never intended to move the page to this mainspace you speak of, I just wanted to change the name of the Sandbox. I don't think you even have the right to delete some drafts for pages I never even intended to make. That was private content that I never wanted others to view. I demand that you get my Sandbox back, no matter what!

Hi Lutontownfc, sorry about the deletion. "Mainspace" means the public, searchable areas of Wikipedia. If you wanted the content to be private, you should make the page a draft article, or a sandbox page in your Userspace, like User:Natg_19/sandbox.

I will help you to recover the page here: Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Lutontownfc_Sandbox

@Natg 19:, I clicked on the link, and the page hasn't been restored. Can you actually restore my Sandbox? [User:Lutontownfc|Lutontownfc]] (talk · contribs) 20:45, 24 July 2017 (GMT)

Lutotownfc Sandbox 2

I'd like to have an update on when my Sandbox will actually be usable. The link you gave still leads to a blank page, and all my hard work is all gone. PLEASE bring my Sandbox back! You don't understand how much work I put into this. PLEASE!

Hi @Lutontownfc: this is out of my control, as I am not an administrator and did not delete your sandbox and I cannot "undelete" your sandbox. (I asked for it to be deleted originally as I thought it should not have been public, but I did not do the actual deletion.) According to @RHaworth: the content of your sandbox was a violation of Wikipedia policy, so it is not allowed on Wikipedia. As he said in his reply here, you can ask him nicely, and he will email you the contents of the page. Natg 19 (talk) 21:27, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Pieology

Hello, Natg 19. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Pieology".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 03:50, 28 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You recently turned Juan Alvarado into a dab page. Given that over 100 articles link to Juan Alvarado and that most of them appear to refer to the governor of California, the other Juan Alvarados might better be listed at Juan Alvarado (disambiguation), or else a lot of articles will no longer link to the correct target. --Animalparty!
