Suicide of Rosalie Avila moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Suicide of Rosalie Avila, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. noq (talk) 09:47, 10 November 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi Ritvik S! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi - Kahani Mata Rani Ki that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Disambiguation link notification for November 26
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. - Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi - Kahani Mata Rani Ki
- added a link pointing to Puja
- Vaishno Devi
- added a link pointing to Jammu and Kashmir

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into List of Incarnations of Adi Parashakti. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Please go back to all the articles from which you copied and copy over all the supporting citations. — Diannaa (talk) 13:49, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Hi, please note that when you add any claim to any article, you need to say in a citation where you got the information. Please do this every time. Thanks. Chiswick Chap (talk) 18:21, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Ritvik S, sorry to go on about this but Citations really matter, as they are the only way anyone can know that Wikipedia is reliable, and the only way for other editors to verify that what you have written is correct.
- Please, now that you've been editing for some months, could you take a moment to study Wikipedia's policy on Reliable Sources and Verification, so that you understand how critical this is, and accordingly make sure you cite all your additions properly. I've reverted your recent uncited additions to Chakra, and expect to see everything you add from now on to come with a citation. It's quite easy, and becomes second nature once you get used to it. All the best, Chiswick Chap (talk) 15:29, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Ritvik S! Your additions to Akilandeswari have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:44, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Suicide of Rosalie Avila
[edit]Hello, Ritvik S. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Suicide of Rosalie Avila".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

[edit]Hi there, I noted you moved Toa Payoh ritual murders to 1981 Toa Payoh ritual murders and I am wondering why did you make such a move. As far as I know, this is the only case/incident whereby it is being referred as such, hence there is no need for the 1981 to title of the article. --Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:24, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
Your contributed article, Expo 2020 pavilions
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Expo 2020 pavilions. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Expo 2020. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Expo 2020. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Justanothersgwikieditor (talk) 07:27, 1 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Nataraja, you may be blocked from editing. WikiLinuz 🍁 (talk) 17:14, 7 December 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus. This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. – Muboshgu (talk) 05:04, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
- +1. Unless you are sure that a page move will be uncontroversial (spelling mistakes etc), it is always best to discuss changing the article title on the talk page first.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 07:49, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, as you did at Jwala Ji, you may be blocked from editing. Megan B.... It’s all coming to me till the end of time 12:30, 20 January 2022 (UTC)

Discretionary sanctions notice
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Please desist making POV edits and POV moves — DaxServer (talk · contribs) 09:40, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
Your persistent disruptive editing on Netrikann
[edit]Hello Ritvik S, you have persistently reverted my edits on the Netrikann (2021 film) page without actually hitting revert; you simply rewrite the same lines you added originally. This still constitutes edit warring, just so you know. After my first copy edit of the article, for grammatical accuracy, legibility, and succinctness, you proceeded to basically rewrite what was there before. You essentially did the same thing again today. At no point did you consider discussing the matter with me in order to achieve a consensus. This is not acceptable on Wikipedia. Please cease your disruptive editing, or this matter will be reported and your editing privileges may be curtailed. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 06:53, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
