I am semi-retired. If you need me, e-mail me or risk waiting. -- Kim van der Linde at venus 14:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

FYI.. and bye

FYI: I mentioned you at AN/3RR[1]

While I think I understand your reasons, I believe your retirement was a loss to Wikipedia. BitterGrey (talk) 16:47, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

I mentioned you at an AN/I posting, regarding WLU's wikistalking[2]. It is too bad the you are retired - your input would have been helpful. BitterGrey (talk) 00:29, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Parrot, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Arini and Kaka (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Teleostomi

Please see Template talk:Taxonomy/Teleostomi#Skipping Eugnathostomata where we are discussing how to handle the display of Eugnathostomata in the automatic taxobox. Bob the WikipediaN (talkcontribs) 01:32, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

Help?

See Talk:Exmoor pony#Tarpans, need DNA/taxonomy assistance in friendly, good-faith discussion. Montanabw(talk) 18:17, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

I think what I actually need is any and every equine DNA study mentioning British and Nordic breeds ;P And, of course, someone to put pressure on the DNA researchers to make them get hold of some of the prehistoric British pony samples (which are available), and get those A-DNAs into the mix. We have bone of all sorts of ages, up to and including 700,000 years old, with quite a decent timespan on them. Most of what I try to get is behind paywalls, but the real thing is to get those darned researchers to pull their fingers out and analyse some more ancient bones! Pesky (talk) 07:30, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Update: I have emailed Gabriella (Lindgren) at Uppsala with details of fossil / ancient equid bone find sites, etc. in the UK, and useful links. Hopefully we can inspire her to get some fresh samples of ancient DNA from the UK for analysis! Pesky (talk) 08:37, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
Heh! Her email is (temporarily?) not working; I've messaged her via Facebook to find out whether she has a new email addy. Pesky (talk) 10:44, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

Parrots

Hi Kim. I've copied this message from WP:BIRD talk page here, in case you are still around:

There's still a little bit of work to do before the new parrot systematics are completely reflected (take a look, for example, at Parrot#Phylogeny, Cockatoo#Taxonomy and New_Zealand_parrot#Systematics). I'm not confident I know how to fix the problems, or rather I am confident I know what to do on those specific pages, but I don't know what kind of system KimvdLinde used to work through the parrot pages, so although I could fix these, I'm not sure what that would leave unfixed. Kim, are you still active or have you gone back into retirement?

Credo Reference Update & Survey (your opinion requested)

Credo Reference, who generously donated 400 free Credo 250 research accounts to Wikipedia editors over the past two years, has offered to expand the program to include 100 additional reference resources. Credo wants Wikipedia editors to select which resources they want most. So, we put together a quick survey to do that:

It also asks some basic questions about what you like about the Credo program and what you might want to improve.

At this time only the initial 400 editors have accounts, but even if you do not have an account, you still might want to weigh in on which resources would be most valuable for the community (for example, through WikiProject Resource Exchange).

Also, if you have an account but no longer want to use it, please leave me a note so another editor can take your spot.

If you have any other questions or comments, drop by my talk page or email me at wikiocaasi@yahoo.com. Cheers! Ocaasi t | c 17:22, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi, your comment may need expanding as the nom suggested two options. Include in the lead as well as body or only in the body. Insomesia (talk) 23:07, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

Arbitration request notification

You are involved in a recently filed request for arbitration. Please review the request at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests#Hebephilia and, if you wish to do so, enter your statement and any other material you wish to submit to the Arbitration Committee. Additionally, the following resources may be of use—

Statement by KimvdLinde

Hey KimvdLinde. I noticed that your statement is 818 words long, but only a maximun of 500 words are permitted in a statement for a case request (including responses). Therefore, I'd like to request you to reduce your statement to meet the 500-word limit before an arbitrator or one of the clerks (including me) reduce it by ourselves (which might remove information you may consider important).

From the Arbitration Committee, — ΛΧΣ21 23:31, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Andrewsornis

Hi Kim: A user has tagged the Andrewsornis article, suggesting that we use the Dutch version of the same article to expand the English version. Any chance you (or someone you could suggest) could help? MeegsC (talk) 15:41, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

I could probably give you a rough translation on a subpage after which you could fix the English and put it in main space. -- Kim van der Linde at venus 15:45, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
That would be awesome! Thanks... MeegsC (talk) 18:26, 2 February 2013 (UTC)

Sexology arbitration case opened

An arbitration case involving you has been opened, and is located at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Sexology. Evidence that you wish the Arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence sub-page, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Sexology/Evidence. Please add your evidence by February 22, 2013, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can contribute to the case workshop sub-page, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Sexology/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. For the Arbitration Committee, Ks0stm (TCGE) 03:21, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Sexology case evidence

This edit is not acceptable because it is not part of your evidence. For an Arbitration case, if you want to point out flaws in other people's evidence, then use your own section to do so.
