The Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) is the second-highest ranking Officer in the Indian Army. The VCOAS is a PSO (Principal Staff Officer) at Army Headquarters in New Delhi. The office is held by a very senior officer in the rank of Lieutenant general.
The current VCOAS is Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane who succeeded Lt Gen Devraj Anbu.[1]
