The result of the discussion was "subst" and delete via histmerge. I know this may seem like an odd closing rationale, but the Timeline of Rabindranath Tagore is a transclusion of the template plus a sentence and a navbox. Preserving the history of the template is possible because there are not parallel histories. Primefac (talk) 23:30, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Two-use template that doesn't seem to have been adopted in the past decade. (I'm doubtful that {{article history}} couldn't do this now either.) Izno (talk) 20:46, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

- Template:Gigiband (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Redundant. Not sure if this could be speedily deleted under G6, but this navbox serves no purpose: apart from being created under the wrong name, the only bluelink to any album or song is to an unrelated article. So the only bluelinks left are to Wikipedia articles for the band's record labels, which aren't directly related to the band. Richard3120 (talk) 19:47, 30 June 2020 (UTC)

I think this template is overly specific and therefore, not needed. It's only used on about 100+ pages, and typically used on pages like this to add meaningless empty sections (Notes, Other Information, etc). At a push, it could be merged into Template:More citations needed section. This template was nominated about two years ago, but with little participation. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 17:41, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- delete, I cleaned up all the articles (removing some pointless empty sections and replacing others with either {{empty section}} or {{more citations needed}}. the remaining appear to be from the boilerplate article templates being transcluded on the talk page, which seems kind of pointless (i.e., {{Sailing at the xxxx Summer Olympic event standard}} and {{Sailing at the xxxx Summer Olympics – Classpage}}). we should really remove the transclusions of {{Sailing at the xxxx Summer Olympic event standard}} and {{Sailing at the xxxx Summer Olympics – Classpage}} from the talk pages. A navbox based upon a common thematic element, the Arthurian legend (or, the Matter of Britain). That fails WP:NAVBOX: there is no single coherent subject like 'Arthurian legend video game'. Different styles of gameplay, different developers and the articles listed do not refer to each other. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 13:45, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- Keep the games are clearly linked by relationship to the arthur legend. I don't think there is a requirement that every navbox must have an article matching its title. The navbox has a clear scope. Second best option would be delete and convert to category. --Tom (LT) (talk) 08:21, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Tom (LT), thanks for taking the time to reply. There actually already is Category:Video games based on Arthurian legend. I should've elaborated that because there isn't such a thing as 'Arthurian legend video game', it borders WP:OR / WP:SYNTH on how it is based upon the Arthurian legend. Dance of Death: Du Lac & Fey for instance is set in Victorian London of 1888; in Excalibur 2555 AD Merlin sends a young warrior to the future; in Blazing Dragons "the player controls Flicker, a dragon who lives in Camelhot castle". I just went through a bunch of the listed games, and some don't mention the Arthurian legend at all, I've taken those out of the navbox for now. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 15:53, 28 June 2020 (UTC)

One could argue that having Macron and de Gaulle in the same template as Napoleon is not entirely insane but putting them alongside Louis XIV, Charlemagne, and Clovis I undoubtedly is. Also, "heads of state of the Franks" is a ridiculous Wikipedia neologism. This should be split into at least two templates, Template:Monarchs of France and Template:Presidents of France.
