List of Disney Channel Original Movies
Would you please move the article, List of television films produced for Disney Channel, back to its original title, List of Disney Channel Original Movies. An editor seemed to think that title better though it is inaccurate and consensus is to return it to its original title and normal editors are unable to move it back. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 02:30, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've done this now and left a detailed comment on the talk page. It's a bit of a mess over there as the move created weird redir-chains. I've tidied up as well as I could. Given the circumstances, I've move-protected the article as this is the third move in as many weeks. I'll followup with the last mover to see what happened and what can be done here - Alison ☺ 18:37, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

I read Wikipedia:Editcountitis, but of course, I usually use the preview button when I edit or start a new page, and I don't make bad edits, of course. NHRHS2010 Talk 18:16, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Dissappointed
Hi Alison. I requested your help in the dogfight going on at the Jat people page. You could have at least politely declined instead of just ignoring my request. Amit@Talk 10:46, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- People like Alison are very busy. Sometimes one comment just slips through the net, and it gets forgotten about. Please don't be so quick to assume she's just being mean. --Deskana (apples) 11:03, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Er, OK I'm sorry; but this was the second time she "forgot", and I was feeling annoyed about the page in question. Amit@Talk 13:31, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Amit, I'm really sorry. I've been so busy both here and in RL. There's so much to do right now. How can I help here? I'll pop over there now and check things out, but a brief statement of the issue here from your perspective would be cool. Thanks, and I'm really sorry! - Alison ☺ 17:25, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like User:Moreschi has fully protected this article some days back due to edit-warring. The focus has switched to the talk page where people are discussing the issues and are being reasonably civil ... so far! I've no expertise on the subject, however, but will keep a watch on things over there .... - Alison ☺ 17:29, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot Alison. The thing is that both sides have taken rigid stances, and claim to have evidence for their viewpoints. It only needs someone to actually go through the references the provide and verify the claims (and check the veracity of the references). Perhaps you think they are being reasonably civil, but I think the no personal attacks policy has been waved good bye long ago over there. Thanks again. Amit@Talk 17:34, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

Template:Irish elections
Alison can your keep a eye on this template, an editor User:Baksando added the St. patricks Saltaire to the template which I reverted he then added the Union Flag which I also reverted, I placed a message on his talk page explaining that these flag have nothing to do with the Irish Republic or Dáil Éireann. But looking at his contribs he seems to be adding extra flag to alot these election templates, such as the Union Flag to tl:Malaysian elections.--padraig 23:31, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
Skin (Japanese band)
Thank you very much for stepping in with protection to the Skin article. The request for protection didn't go through last time, as a block was supposed to prevent an anonymous vandal, who unfortunately changes IPs several times a day. I know this isn't relevant to any specific cause on Wikipedia, but your work on Skin and other pages is greatly appreciated! Thank you! --Jacob 07:13, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Glad to be able to help :) - Alison ☺ 07:25, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Skin Band
The information currently written is incorrect when compared to the Japanese version of this article, some the information currently provided is fandom. The version they keep vandalising, was taken directly from the Japanese article, contained links to official sites (which they had none before, and actually denied there being any)
Why semi-protect an article, when the current version is vandalism?
In case you are wondering, this article is about a Japanese band. The Japanese article on this band, has information provided by official sources (and the person that formed the band) The English article is complete fandom! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.49.159.159 (talk) 07:43, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- Interesting. I didn't see content dispute in the edit history, though note the discussion is ongoing on the talk page now. Escalating to full protect here as I don't want to block anon editors out in the case of a content dispute when there's an edit war on. My apologies, but I'd only seen vandalism edits - Alison ☺ 07:48, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Skin Band
You are a very poor editor, official information was provided for the article Skin_band (with source) how is removing official sources and replacing it with information that is different not vandalism? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.49.159.159 (talk) 07:58, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
- You are obviously involved in a content dispute on that article. Rather than locking just you out of the article I have fully-protected it instead. This is the correct approach here and right now, your best option would be to continue discussion on the talk page. Note that the version I have protected is quite arbitrary. I have no opinion nor knowledge of the subject here and only wish the disruption to end. Which it now has - Alison ☺ 08:04, 2 September 2007 (UTC)
Note to self
- Provide detail / images for Douglas Ousterhout
- Fix up Kenmare article & add historical details (not Harry Potter stuff)
- Add stuff to Malahide re. castle and resident family
- Upload Easter egg painted eggs + pic of traditional German 'Easter Tree' to Commons
- Sort out some of the Pharma stubs, esp. Category:Hormones of the hypothalamo-pituitary system
- Add details of OECD report to List of literacy rates article ...
- Set up new system/templates for dealing with Deletion Review/Content Review admin work
- Completely rebuild and rehabillitate ga.wiktionary and gd.wiktionary. Learn Scots Gaelic somewhere along the way. Oh yes!
- Upload pictures of holy wells + shrines, etc to Commons
- Alison ☺ 21:05, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Douglas Ousterhout article tags
I've removed the tags per WP:AfD - If the page can be improved, this should be solved through regular editing, rather than deletion. In this case I think notability is not the issue but reliable sources might be, in any case the answer is constructive editing to make the article better. I've left this message for the potential deleter but I suspect the only way to fend of advances will be some reconstructive surgery on the article itself! Benjiboi 10:11, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Blocking of socks
Your action in blocking several socks on the Belinda Stronach article is appreciated. I think you missed one of this collection of socks, though: User:Chillin841. I'm not sure whether you know the history of this. The primary account of this user is Michaelm (note the reversal of the letters "ae" in the name of one of the socks). Michaelm is well known for his edits of the Belinda S. article, having kept several editors on the lookout for his stubborn insistence on certain issues (the principle one has been his insistence that she's a socialist). For some reason he has not used the main account much in the past few weeks. Several editors have warned him not to resort to socks. Despite the warnings, the socks have been flooding the article with nonsense. Perhaps we should keep an eye on the primary account. In any case, I thought you might like to know this (in case you weren't already aware). Sunray 06:04, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've no idea as to the history, but I know socks when I see them! Re. Michaelm; that editor has now been blocked for a week due to abuse of multiple accounts. If they do it again, let me know and they'll get another. Re. User:Chillin841, I didn't block that one as they'd created a (seemingly) unrelated article and only did one revert on the Belinda Stronach article. I'll keep watch on them! - Alison ☺ 06:10, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Flag issue
Hey. Do you have any idea how to restore to previous versions of images? I'm asking because Image:Four Provinces Flag.svg has been multiply updated and the current version is incorrect - User:Caomhan27 seems to have arbitrarily decided to move the provinces around... The one from the 29th August seems most accurate (although even there the green background is way too dark). I'd ask him to revert but seeing as he's blanked requests from me not to arbitrarily change the colours of the Irish tricolour before I don't think a polite request from me would get too far. Regards, BastunBaStun not BaTsun 16:12, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- I just reverted to the 28th Aug version. How's it look now? I'm not sure what that editor is doing but that definitely wasn't right. If you need a commons admin, maybe check in with User:Riana or User:Krimpet - Alison ☺ 16:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks :-) Regards, BastunBaStun not BaTsun 16:31, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Okies, User:Caomhan27 has reverted... he's also repeatedly blanked the category on the page, for which I've given him a warning. Note, though, the version you reverted to is also incorrect - as per here: "The four quadrants represent the provinces, showing a banner of the arms of Ulster (top left), Munster (top right), Connacht (bottom left) and Leinster (bottom right)." Can be verified from this search, where the vast majority show the correct order. BastunBaStun not BaTsun 16:50, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

- Ah - a response (of sorts) - please check our respective talk pages. Regards, BastunBaStun not BaTsun 16:58, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Do you have any bright ideas on how to handle this long-term? An editor created a whole block of Salamis-related articles; all are unreferenced and need cleanup, some maybe even merging into Salamis Island, but the creator is impeding this by removing the templates and tags necessary to bring the articles to community attention.
He's been blocked permanently for copyright violation under two incarnations, User:Float954 and User:Skarth, but just comes back every time from variable Greek-based IP addresses - for instance, 85.74.181.34 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log), which removed a merge proposal from all the articles he edits. He refuses to communicate with anyone on the matter. Gordonofcartoon 22:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Aspirin has been selected as this week's Pharmacology Collaboration of the Week! Please help us bring this article up to featured standards during the week. The goal is to nominate this at WP:FAC on September 10, 2007.
Also, please visitWP:RxCOTW to support other articles for the next COTW. Articles that have been nominated thus far include Doxorubicin, Paracetamol (in the lead with 4 support votes so far), Muscle relaxant, Ethanol, and Bufotenin.
In other news:
- Bupropion has been promoted to featured status on August 31, 2007.
- The Wikipedia:WikiProject Pharmacology main page has been updated and overhauled, to make it easier to find things, as well as to highlight other goals and announcements for the project.
- Garrondo is asking for individuals to help review Therapies for multiple sclerosis, as he is considering nominating this article for GA status.
- Fvasconcellos notes that discussion is ongoing regarding the current wording of MEDMOS on including dosage information in drug articles. All input is welcome.

IfD nominations
Hi Alison, do you have time to check a multitude of nominations for image deletion by a 3 day old account (User Contributions here). The images are of rail trackplans that all appear to have a GFDL license and consensus seems to be keep, where people can find them (some examples here). It's a lot of work to track down each nom and leave the (almost exact) same comment for the same situation over and over again. Something just seems "off" here. Btw, I have not been involved with the articles the images are associated with, and stumbled upon this situation quite by accident. R. Baley 23:48, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed that you blocked the user, and I believe I have found a sockpuppet. User:Gatorfan16 showed up out of nowehere and reverted an edit that was made 16 days ago [1] in which a user had removed an image added by Hornetman.
Sony
Alison, I can no longer pretend to have anything but dislike and utter contempt for Sony; not wise to say, but honest. He has reported my to Arbcom, YET AGAIN. At this stage his actions seem to me to be spiteful, petty, vindictive and personal. You may not agree, but you are not on the receiving end. I have replied to his latest attack with this (on the Arbcom page):
Hi Sony. Your attempts at provocation and your continued campaign against me are regrettable. The relevent section of the Arbcom ruling in relation to me is:
"Sarah777 may be banned from editing any page which she disrupts by engaging in aggressive biased editing or by making anti-British remarks."
I made no "anti-British" remarks on the article talk-page nor did I make any edits bar reverting the deletion, which I then stopped to avoid 3RR. Furthermore your allegation of POV-fork is your OPINION; it was not a ruling of any sort, if you recall the article was deleted without any discussion; as, indeed was the "Atlantic Isles" article. As for "encouraging" the user who created "Atlantic Isles"; once the article was (arbitrarily) deleted I was WARNING him of my experience and particularly to be careful on his own Talk Page in the light Wiki policy (which I advised him to check) and, not least the way you used selective out of context quotes from my page (and elsewhere) to build your campaign.
You appear to spend all your Wiki-energy "contributions" obsessing over a small number of political articles; your editing record is, basically, rubbish. And you obviously have far more time to devote to persuing your vendetta than those of us actually contributing to the project in a productive manner.
I am aware that the tactics of some on the "pro-British" side is to systematically goad and provoke in order to try and get your target to say something that will get them banned. I put you on notice now that your CONTINUED referrals of me; RfC, the Arbcom and now this latest "report" can only be regarded as harassment. Please stop. And DO NOT leave ANY further messages of any sort on my talk page. Thank you." (Signed)
My patience with this guy is exhausted. Is there any way he can be given a "barring-order" to leave me alone? I read somewhere that constant referrals of this type amount to harassment or WP:PA. I believe he is motivated by the fact that his RfC fell flat, the Arbcom, despite him putting me center stage, was reasonable enough and he is determined to get me banned. You defended me at the Arbcom for which I will be eternally grateful - but that defence would never have been necessary were it not for the massive effort Sony put into trying to hang me. Regards (Sarah777 21:15, 5 September 2007 (UTC))
- I must have missed your response here Alison! Could you please comment on Sony's relentless campaign to try and get me banned? Look at the Arbcom page; himself and Mark Thomas have made patently false claims of "anti-British" remarks which Sony had "beefed-up" by going back to find some pre-RfC comments; just to colour the picture a bit. The claim was dismissed by a neutral admin but Waggers has now entered the fray with an opinion that I must take the Sony/Mark nonsense as an "absolute final warning"! (While also saying that in fact I didn't cross any line). What sort of process is it that Sony gets to issue "absolute final warnings" based on his own fiction? Another question: is Waggers on Arbcom; how does that work (I've asked him directly about his reasoning). (Sarah777 19:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC))

Sony Etc
Hi Alison, remember me?! I'll try down here as I'm not getting a response up above. As somebody who has defended Sony in the past even when he was attacking me I really need some feedback. How many Irish editors need to get banned before someone calls a halt? Do you agree with Sony's expanded definition of "anti-British" to include almost anything he and his friends says it is; and Waggers apparent endorsement of it? (Sarah777 00:05, 8 September 2007 (UTC))
- Sarah, hold on - I'm way busy today. Waggers isn't on the ArbCom, BTW. Let me get back on this one in a while here .. - Alison ☺ 00:25, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Sarah, i'm loath to get involved here, but I have been watching this from the sidelines. You should note that once ArbCom issues a remedy it is the admins' job to ensure it is upheld by issuing blocks and bans. That means admins have to interpret whether or not the behaviour violated the proposed remedy. Waggers is an admin, so he normally can make that decision, though he also appears to have commented in the discussion under review, so probably should have recused himself from suggesting you are now on a final warnings. However, like any other editor else, he is free to offer his opinion.
- I don't think this warranted a report, and you are not going to get blocked or banned as a result of it. However, at the same time, you are subject to a ban if you make "anti-British" comments and there will always be a broad spectrum of opinion among admins on what that includes. It really is in your interest to minimise rhetoric and charged language as much as you can in relation to discussing Britian and the British, otherwise you will find yourself in trouble before too long. You may consider this unfair, and as we have said previously it probably is, but that is what happened and you didn't help your cause at ArbCom at the time. Now you have to live with that. Play the smart game now, and you will be fine. Rockpocket 02:08, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Please...feel free to be involved! Well, despite Sony's constant insinuations - 'playing games' isn't what I am about. I do have a sense of humour that seems stuck on one side of the cultural divide though; but without that - what's the point? Seriously though: there MUST be some limit to what can legitimately be synthesised to construct a charge of an "anti-British comment". If I said the weather in Scotland is worse than even here in Ireland - is that an anti-British comment? If I said I'm glad Ireland won independence - that is manifestly "anti-British"; so is it banned??? Some rules are badly needed here. (Sarah777 13:13, 8 September 2007 (UTC))
- If Sony continues to make trivial reports then he will be being disruptive and will be asked to stop. In the meantime we should trust that the admin consensus will discern what an "anti-British comment" comment is and what a valid comment it. A good rule of this is that you should not use anything remotely "anti-British comment" in relation to any other editor's motivation, or "sopabox" on this issue. Any statement of fact that is directly related to improving the encyclopaedia, irrespective how "anti-British" they are should fine. Rockpocket 17:43, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Alison, in the course of defending me (I think!) on the Arbcom page you referred to me making "veiled comments" along the British/Nazi line. Where? I don't think I have. (Sarah777 11:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC))

This is an automated message from a robot. You have recently uploaded Image:ArtsCouncilIreland.gif. The file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. - I don't want to mess with your comment over on the ArbCom page but, having seen it, I can confirm here that the edit on W. Frank's userpage contained his correct legal name (diff now oversighted) and that the Citizendium one is not his legal name - Alison ☺ 16:55, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

- Then does that not just suggest a faint possibility to you that he may have been less than totally honest with you, I assume you have less software than Citizendum for checking statements made to you. If a computer illiterate person like me can work tht out then the "former Managing Director of an English company specialising in Bank Card security software" probably is just a couple of jumps ahead. IP Vandal
Hi noticed that you are active at the moment so I wondered if you could have a look at this : [8] which I've reverted - the IP Users page is full of warnings for vandalism and a search of his recent edits shows that while he doesn't edit often his last few at least have all been vandalism, I don't think there is a worthwhile edit in there. Thanks for your time. Kelpin 17:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- That anon address hasn't been used in over two months and that edit looks somewhat good-faith. Seems okay. Remember that IP addresses often get re-assigned quickly, so it's probably someone else now - Alison ☺ 17:56, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- I do believe you are wrong about it being good faith - its a re-posting of this [9] from earlier in the week, and although you may not have heard of Porcupine Tree they are a lot bigger than holiday video on You Tube! As for IP addresses being re-assigned - I wasn't aware of that but IT 's not my speciality! Thanks. Kelpin 18:03, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Just checked the IP address on Whois and its actually a company - so you are probably right about it being different users. Sorry to bother you. Kelpin 18:10, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Some help here please
I really think ONiH has gone about this the wrong way. Aatomic1 20:18, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, removing duplicate information is sooooooo bad. One Night In Hackney303 20:22, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- If I have added duplicate information a comment on the talk page would help. You have much about the editor but very little about the edit Aatomic1 20:30, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- My above comment was strictly directed at your edit, it made no mention of you. If you were so convinced your edit was correct in the first place, why didn't you explain your reason for adding it on the talk page before adding it back to begin with? You can't have it both ways. As I really don't want to carry on on this rather one-sided debate on Alison's talk page, this will be my final comment on the matter here. One Night In Hackney303 20:33, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
- WP:BB applies even to articles that other WP:OWN. I was requested to read the article (which I had previously done and which I did again). I was satisfied that (and remain satisfied now) that I was adding new content; If you had a problem with references ONiH all you had to do was mention it in either (i) You edit summary (ii) The article Talk page (iii) My own Talk page. I am sorry that I did not add (one) of the references instantly - I was not even aware that this would be such a contentious issue - It certainly did not warrant the pop you had at me on Sir Fozzies page and I do think the extreme difficulty was as a result of your attitude and not mine. Sarah/ArbCom/etc.
Alison, don't believe the hype. I have no intention of pursuing any matter to get Sarah banned. "Running back telling tales" is one way of reading it, but from my perspective I just want to make sure that the decision gets enforced. I believe it's a good one all round and that the kind of remarks posted by Sarah were of the same ilk that she made to cause disruption in the past.
To correct some facts from her posts above: whatever Sarah has to say, I am absolutely uninterested in any kind of "campaign" against her - despite this being a persistent claim of hers. I didn't request the ArbCom, I got requisitioned the same way as she did. What I did do was to open the RfC about her (with Lo2u and Djegan, that 12 other's endorsed) and to post to the enforcement notice-board about her post-ArbCom comments on the British Isles page. That was because they demonstrated - to me at least - that the RfC and ArbCom have had no effect of causing her to rethink her approach to other editors. Immediately leading to the RfC, I did post a message to ANI, which you replied to, when Sarah was 'coincidentally' reverting my edits after I slighted her by having the audacity to support a consensus. If that's too exhausting for her, or some kind of stalking, then I'm a monkey's uncle.
The vitriol and smear she's posted about me since is nothing surprising, although it is draining to read. It's what anyone who displeases Sarah (for whatever reason) gets. --sony-youthpléigh 19:09, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you deleted the picture that was on my userpage. I don't mind this since you seem to know what your doing better than I do. Your block of User:Andrew9109
Dear Alison,
I came across this user putting in links and reverted all his links. Then I put in a polite note on his user page about external links. He appears to have been a newbie, the site hadn't been spammed before. He also made two actual contributions.
In these circumstances I think your block and message weren't really in the spirit of WP:BITE & WP:AGF. On top of which I could have blocked him but choose not to and he made no further edits after my note. That seems a little incourteous to me too?
I am not going to unblock the user since I don't like undoing things done by other admins but I think perhaps you might consider it? --BozMo talk 08:50, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- That's not normally like me at all. I'll unblock right now, apologise & see how it goes. I'd not seen much in the way of constructive edits, mind, but I'll offer to help the guy. Note that I'm on admin wikibreak right now for the very reason being that I'm frazzled with admin work & a particularly tough Arb case was getting me down. Seeing the signs ... :/ - Alison ☺ 09:09, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

He has posted something on his talk page asking for unblock for sole purpose of responding on ArbCom pages, I think. Since you're the blocking admin, I feel that I should let you know that (in case you're not following the page). Let me know what you think about it. - Penwhale | Blast him / Follow his steps 22:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Sasha's image
I solely posted it because it is a public domain image. I could care less about the actual girl, just the image. I'd much rather have a sports logo to represent my favorite team, but those are not in the public domain. Mghabmw 00:04, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Got a thing for posting pics of 16-year-old girls on your userpage? You're doing it to harass her, at best. Don't do it again - Alison ☺ 00:06, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
I am not even contacting her. I am using an image in the public domain. As far as I'm concerned, I am free to do with the pic as I please.
She released it in the PD and if she doesn't like it, she should've thought better than to release it to the PD. It's not like I'm posting the lyrics and music to "Happy Birthday to You" and it's like I'm going to leave the Cayman Islands just to go to Boston and give her shit.
So, it's a public domain image and a picture I've decided to post on my user page for no apparent reason, so get off of your power trip. Mghabmw 00:14, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Like I said, you're either using it to harass her, to prove some sort of wacky point or maybe you have a thing for young girls that edit wikipedia. Either way, what you are doing is against policy, not copyright. You've been repeatedly warned already and two administrators have stepped in on this one. Don't do it again - Alison ☺ 00:39, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- You don't tell me what I think just because it's your opinion. Mghabmw 18:22, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I don't care what you think; that's immaterial here. I'm here to enforce policy and to protect other editors. It's my job as an admin and if you repeatedly harass another editor, I'll see that it stops. That's all that needs to happen here - Alison ☺ 18:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Rosslea/Roslea name dispute
Hey Alison, I would be grateful if you could take a look at this. I think this method may work in solving the Rosslea/Roslea name dispute. I have created a sort of template for the involved parties (myself, User:Domer48, User:Padraig, User:One Night In Hackney) to submit all evidence and material we feel useful to determining an outcome. I have suggested that, once all parties are content that they have submitted all they want then, an independent Admin would then have the power to come up with a decision once and for all. The Admin should have no links with either Ireland or Britain and would especially have had no previous contact with any of the involved parties.
This may seem a fair and practical method for coming to a conclusion to this long overdrawn dispute however I am being met with only dismissal and discourtesy. I refer you to the unhelpful revert by ONiH. I would very much appreciate it if you could have a quick word on the 3 other editors talk pages. Maybe you could encourage them to take part. I recognise that they would be entirely own right to refuse to participate, however that would question as to whether they want to resolve this issue or just keep warring. I would also appreciate any comments you may have on the proposed method. Regards Conypiece 00:49, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hey there, Conypiece. I'll have a scan over it later on and let you know. Just going off-line here for a while but I'll get back to ya - Alison ☺ 00:54, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- He has twice removed the comments of other editors from the talk page. One Night In Hackney303 01:13, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- You mean here and here? Hmm I don’t think that will be seen as removal of material, especially since it is clear you can gladly revert without paying any attention as to what I had written in response, Domer & ONiH, please don't discuss on the below template, it is an honest attempt to find a solution to this problem. If you want, continue this discussion on the relevant talk page. Conypiece
- I'm in agreement with Conypiece on this one. It's time to put out some objective evidence here as to what the name actually is, and why. Rather than mindless revert-warring, let's see some facts on this one. AFAIK, this is exactly the approach that was taken with Londonderry/Derry some years back and agreement was largely reached on that one, too (though with a little help from ArbCom!). Can someone clue me in into what the actual issue is here and it's more than just a missing 's'. What is this really about? - Alison ☺ 04:59, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- We did that. Ros(s)lea can be spelt either way, and we're not talking about the naming of the Ros(s)lea article only the spelling of it in an entirely different article. See how much time he's wasted over something that isn't important, it's gone well past WP:POINT. He seeks to claim consensus through war of attrition, as he'll keep bludgeoning away until we get bored of the same tired points, then if we don't reply he'll claim consensus. One Night In Hackney303 17:26, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Emails
If the only way you can justify you actions is by quoting comments (out of context) made to you long after those actions then so be it. You will note I refer to court room styles the suffering of the Jews is not mentioned. I am happy from you to quote from any replies I made to your emails but only if you place here the entire email including yours preceding it, in fact I think you should produce the whole sequence on a User page for all to see, I have no problem with that but I shall not be replying to anymore of your emails. Problems I have are when emails are forwarded to Fred Bauder to become "damning but secret", so here's another analogy for you, that is not Goodwin's law but Torquemada's. Giano 07:10, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- Oh please, Giano! That's just so melodramatic and overblown. And yet again, you just don't seem to want to actually address anything I've been saying here, other than take the chance to get in another inappropriate analogy. This has now reduced to a farce. Now that Tomás de Torquemada has made an appearance, I think we can truly say now that nobody expected that one! - Alison ☺ 07:29, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
- I have relied on VK's page there are too many tangeant pages already. Giano 10:00, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

My email is working, I haven't recieved the confirmation email from WP yet (I've sent the confirmation code several times). Do you know how to fix this? Sasha Callahan 16:30, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Can I have Federal Commonwealth Society restored please? One of those restores with a protected template instead of an article, but the history and everything can be looked at. Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 21:35, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Done I'll userfy it to User:One Night In Hackney/Federal Commonwealth Society, history and all. I'll have to disable the templates and de-cat it. Note that this one has been deleted six times or so and has been through two AfDs. If you're collecting diffs from it, you can do this from your userfied article. When you're done, just tag it with {{db-userreq}}. Note to others: I'm a regular admin patroller of WP:DRV/CR - Alison ❤ 21:40, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. If you look at the second AfD you'll realise what I want it for, but unless I can show what the article looked like at the time it blunts my points. Question about vandalism report
I'm just wondering if I did something wrong. I reported User talk:64.8.186.189 for vandalism but there was no action. It appears [15] that you were the administrator who removed my report. I'm not complaining just wondering if there was something wrong with my report so that I can do better next time. Sbowers3 18:17, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there. I took a look and what happened was I indefblocked another vandal, User:Magor00111, then the bot came along and automatically deleted both reports. If you have your recent changes set to hide bot edits, you may have missed it. Not to worry - I checked your report just now and note that this was the IP editor's first edit in over a week. Given that the IP belongs to the State of Minnesota, it's probably someone else by now. I can't block this IP on the strength of this, however, I did put a {{SharedIP}} template on their talk page. Thanks for reporting this - sorry for the bot mixup. Keep up the good work :) - Alison ❤ 20:15, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the explanation, and yes I do have bot edits hidden. (I'm afraid that I am becoming addicted to Wikipedia. I've been spending hours and hours looking for vandals, placing warnings, checking back later, then submitting reports to AIV. I hope I can overcome this addiction and spend time on something else. :) ) Sbowers3 20:38, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Dearest Alison,
Thank you for your participation in my RFA, which closed successfully with 96 supports, 1 oppose, and 3 neutrals. No matter if you !voted support, oppose, neutral, I thank you for taking the time to drop by. I'm a new admin remember, so if you have any suggestions feel free to inform me of them. I would like to give a special shout out to Hirohisat, Wizardman, and Husond, for there original co-nominations. Thank you once again and good day.

This RFA thanks was inspired by Phaedriel's RFA thanks. So unfortunatly this is not entirely my own design.
Userfication
Thanks for userfying Mayor Nagin and the Evacuation By School Buses Controversy to User:SunStar Net/Mayor Nagin. However, there's a problem - I still have User:SunStar Net/Mayor Nagin and the Evacuation By School Buses Controversy in my userspace - this is the proper title of User:SunStar Net/Mayor Nagin.
Thanks for that! I'll come and help you on the Irish Wikipedia if you want.... I saw your requests for permissions on Meta! --SunStar Net talk 18:36, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
OGame
Hi, Alison. I could use some help. We crossed paths a while back. It was a good experience, so I'm coming to you for a little advice. How would you feel about passing on a little WP:EL advice concerning OGame? If that's not something that you are too keen on, that's cool. Thanks for your time. -- Ben 05:18, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
hey
Yes, I know, I'm supposed to be good and not edit for a couple days, but I've come across a bit of a situation that was emailed to me, could you monitor User:Breen32? Something smells fishy. I've warned BigDunc and Domer that if it is related to them, it's the stupidest thing possible they could do in this situation, who knows, maybe I'm cynical. SirFozzie 18:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

But of course
Of course I'm watching out for you... my friends don't call me their own personal bulldog for nothing :D I'm glad to see that silly slings and arrows haven't caused you to lose your sense of humor (the comment on Phaedriel's page made me LOL) and just goes to show why you're an awesome admin. I'm happy to begin admin training stuff, I wanted to make sure you were up for it first, what with the arbcom case from hell going on over there. I am in no hurry, and am glad to take the time to get to know other areas of Wikipedia and strike a real world/Wikiworld life balance. Now where to start? I can do my overarching goals of admin training better than specifics. I'll post them on my admin coaching page so as not to bore your usual readers! :) ~Eliz81(C) 22:13, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Djokovic article move
You put Novak Đoković on move protection until the dispute can be resolved. However, I believe it has already been resolved and consensus has been reached that the article should be renamed "Novak Djokovic." Unfortunately, two editors are stonewalling the dispute, refusing to produce sources and taunting proponents of the move, and this after having refused mediation, refused to compromise, forum shopped for support, and rejected the views of impartial editors. They have consistently stated that they are right, belligerently responding to requests for sources supporting their position with hostility and intimidation. They have consistently and explicitly rejected WP policy in favor of how they think WP should be run.
Now, I am not asking you to remove the move protection. I am, however, asking you what we are supposed to do in this situation. The dispute will not be resolved until the opponents agree to come to the table. As it is, with the article locked in their preferred spelling indefinitely, they will only continue to goad us.

Public statement
Hi all,
This is just a statement here, there's no need for commentary or WikiDrahmaz. Recently an abusive editor created sock-puppet accounts to make accusations against me here on my talk page (and on theirs).[16][17]. They were reverted pretty quickly by my alert friends :)
“ | Maybe you should tell the other editors, especially Vk, about your mental health history, and all of the tablets you are taking. | ” |
— Gold Heart aka ThePiper aka Pronterra aka Perolla, etc, etc |
and
“ | Should User:Alison have indef blocking privileges revoked? Considering the fact that she is on high doses of mood altering medication? This question is of pressing importance and magnitude. The important point here is that there must be transparency. There is a risk factor, that a person's decisions may be unduly influenced by medication. Therefore, I believe that Alison should make a statement about her competency to remain as an Administrator, and to hold the blocking tools on other editors. | ” |
— Gold Heart aka ThePiper aka Pronterra aka Perolla, etc, etc |
Now my take on this is as follows; with all trolls, vandals and weirdos, the proper approach is revert, block, ignore and generally move on. Nothing to see here, folks. Every editor on WP, admins included, has a right to anonymity, privacy of their personal information and to be able to edit here without harassment or personal attacks. This is a fundamental tenet of Wikipedia and is non-negotiable. It goes without saying that there is never a reason why someone should demand personal medical information on another editor, especially if their motive is that of intimidation and harassment. We all know this. Wikistalkers like User:Encyclopedist love to use this kind of information to hurt people on here. I've seen it again and again.
However, it doesn't stop at that. I thought about this for a day or so and thought; "Hey, waitaminute! What on earth is wrong with the fundamental issue here? Is there something wrong with being on some kind of antidepressant medication? Is this something to be ashamed of??" I mean - there are a lot of people on here who have histories they are ashamed of - afraid they'll be "found out" and it will be revealed to the world that they had some issues in their past or whatever, and that they need to keep it all under wraps and live in fear.
To hell with all that!
Here's my history & I'm standing up to be counted. I've had issues with depression going back to my childhood. I've been on various medications over the years - the anonymous coward above knew that. I've had two serious suicide attempts; the last one was ... oh ... almost 20 years ago now. I've been involved in self-injury right up to maybe five years ago. So what? It happens. I'm not suffering from depression right now and haven't for some time. I'm currently on 10mg of citalopram which is considered sub-therapeutic and I'm thinking of cutting it out altogether early next year.
So what?
Is there anything to be ashamed about here? Nope. Is there anything to be concerned about? Nope. Does it affect me in any way as to how I do my editing here? Nope. I'm writing this, not as a result of intimidation (I hate bullies), but to show everyone that it's nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to hide. I hope others in a similar situation can read this, understand it, and take some comfort from it. There are a lot of us out there and it's really No Big Deal :)
Love you all, friends,
-- Alison ❤ 18:43, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Comment I think the editor that made those comments about Alison should be banned indef from Wikipedia, there is no justification for personal attacks of this nature. This is pure harassment and should not be tolerated.--padraig 18:57, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Applause for Alison. I hope the user in question (and yes, I do know who it is), has all their multiple accounts banned for life, and furthermore, loses net access for treating a fellow human being in such a reprehensible manner. SirFozzie 20:11, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- One more: I've known you for maybe two minutes - one brief exchange. But just a quick glance gave the impression that you are cheerful, helpful, and competent. That first editor illustrated his own sickness by misspelling "compos mentis" - if he's going to use a fancy phrase like that he should at least look it up first. You shouldn't have to put with abuse like that and I hope that editor is banned for at least a year. Sbowers3 21:01, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Indeed Fozzie Who's the better person? The coward who harasses an innocent woman, or the woman who's prepared to lay herself bare and say "this is me". No debate really is there? One Night In Hackney303 21:02, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- This is preposterous. Just because someone's on meds, that's no reason to disqualify her. DS 21:17, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Content - one of the things I like about the Internet is the fact that it forces us to overlook age, race, gender, etc. We see only each other's ideas, thoughts, and fantasies. For all I really know, you are the middle-aged pot bellied guy down the street (oh, wait, that's me) or a little old lady whiling away her final days in an extended care facility. The question isn't what you are. The question is what you do. Whoever you are, I like what you do here (and thank you for that). Lastly, I've always said "you can tell the quality of a person by the character of his/her enemies." Actually, I always say "his enemies", but I thought a bit of inclusivity might be in order – you never really can tell. By that standard, you turn up aces again. Keep up the good work. I'll be happy to play whack-a-mole to help smooth your way. Oh, and way to come out (again)! Gees! Rklawton 21:21, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Everyone wears a mask and puts up on a front, it takes real courage to take it of and say, this is ME. Alison, I'm proud of you. - Philippe | Talk 22:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Dear Allie, once again, you show us the true meaning of courage, integrity, and standing by your principles. If anything, all this trolling has revealed is that we're lucky to have you here with us, a woman of your value, and a friend who honors us by sharing her time with us. - No Big Deal. Alison is a courageous woman of great integrity who is held in very high regard in this community. Any troll who tries to ridicule and/or harass a member of this community should quickly be given the revert, block, ignore treatment. As for the 10mg of citalopram, I have absolutely no concerns about you wielding the block button whilst on anti-depressants. That a cowardly troll thinks we ought to strip you of the block button simply because you're on medication (along with many other administrators, I'm sure, and at least another I recall admitting to being on anti-depressants), without being able to point to any evidence whatsoever that you have done anything inappropriate at all, let alone done anything inappropriate while on medication, shows that you're an effective administrator and as such the trolls are trying to get at you. Six months ago I said at your RfA that I was confident you would make an outstanding administrator. I was right: you became an outstanding administrator. And the troll is a moronic cowardly idiot. And that is all that needs to be said about that. Sarah 23:50, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
- Good on you (in true Aussie style) It takes courage to come out and confront that sort of inbound crap in the way you have, and also takes a tremendous courage and strength to fight your demons in the way you have. :) While I'm not on medication, I do understand where you're coming from on this, and I remember reading somewhere that 20% of the entire population have some condition or other. Most importantly, keep smiling and don't let the bastards grind you down. Orderinchaos 23:57, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

- Three Cheers! Alison has been one of the better admins I've seen (and I don't say this because of the Mudkip disputes). I very heavily doubt she wouldn't give you the shirt off her back if you asked. The fact that this troll singled out an admin and called her unworthy because she used medicinal drugs compared to other admins out there who would have a reason to have their admin bit revoked tells me that he's just looking for blood. -Jéské (v^_^v Kacheek!) 23:59, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

- "No need for commentary"? Well, apparently some of us disagree. Thank you for saying what needed to be said - that being on antidepressants is no impediment to editing on WP, being an admin on WP or anything else! If the current ArbCom has done nothing else it has shown how heroically (there is no other word for it) you, along with your fellow admins, have struggled to keep an environment here in which people feel safe to work. You are an inspiration to us all. As for medication – honi soit qui mal y pense! Scolaire 00:15, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

- Allie, you are by far one of the most sensible and valuable administrators on Wikipedia. As someone who has also struggled with depression, it pains me to see that trolls would choose such a personal topic to try to publically harass you -- it's absolutely despicable. However, I think this clearly indicates that even this guy himself knows that he has no valid gripes to make to try to "discredit" you, hence why he had to make such a ludicrously low blow. Sheesh, glad I've never had to cope with all that and now this. Riana described you as several things. I certainly agree with all but clueful, as I don't think that's a word. The underlying problem, of course, is that some users don't accept the fact that, not only is there no consensus concerning the move, but the majority (11 to 5) of those that expressed their opinions on the talk page are against the move to Novak Djokovic and prefer the article as it is right now. The fact is that both sides have strong arguments, but the side that wants to move the page disrespects and ignores any argument the other side presents, even though it's the community that decides. If you have some time, I'd appreciate a bit of advice on how to handle all this, I'm getting tired of arguing with two users (1, 2) on the talk page who just keep repeating themselves.. I have a feeling that their goal is to push their idea, until people get tired of them and give in (one user made a very good point when Yano moved the page without a consensus [18]), and I believe that it shouldn't be the way things are to be done on Wikipedia. Any advice would help :) --GOD OF JUSTICE 23:42, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Here's a brief update in some of the recent developments of WikiProject Pharmacology!
- Aspirin has just completed its two week run as the first Collaboration of the Week! Many thanks to those editors that contributed; the article got a lot of good work accomplished, and in particular, much work was done in fixing up the history section. It's still not quite "done" yet (is a wikipedia article really ever done?), but after two weeks I think it's more important to push onwards with the development of the new collaboration of the week program. I will be fixing up Aspirin in the next few days and possibly nominating it for either GA or FA status.
- Muscle relaxant has been selected as the new Collaboration of the week until October 2, 2007! This article is currently rated as a "stub", so it's got quite a bit of work cut out for collaborators! Admittedly, featured status could be a long way off,... but still attainable! At the least, maybe we could at least get it up to meeting the Good article criteria? Please stop by the article and help improve it.
- Resveratrol, having recently achieved GA status on August 16, 2007, is now making a run for featured status. This is quite a fascinating compound. If you can, please stop by its discussion page and leave comments in support of it.
- Please remember that Wikipedia is not a forum for discussing or dispensing medical advice amongst users. Specifically, talk pages of articles should only be used to discuss improving the actual article in question. To help alleviate this situation, the template {{talkheader}} may be added to the top of talk pages, reminding users of the purpose of such pages. Additionally, unsigned comments and comments by anonymous users that are inappropriate may be removed from talk pages without being considered vandalism.
- There was an interesting article on ZDNet last week about Hewlett Packard licensing its patented microneedle technology used in common inkjet printers to be used in transdermal patches to deliver a time-controlled release of drugs to patients. This information could be added to articles such as route of administration or drug delivery.

Depressing
Its so encouraging that the security and freedom from abuse of editors appear paramount in our esteemed Arbitrators' thoughts. I guess WP:SOCK, WP:CIVIL, WP:NPA, WP:HARASS are not such a big deal these days. On the bright side we can all start threatening editors that irritate us, and feel free to called them chunts with impunity. Honestly, it makes me wonder why we bother. Dear Alison,
Thank you for your participation in my RFA, which closed successfully with 83 supports, 1 oppose, and 0 neutrals. No matter if you voted (I mean, "!voted") support or oppose, I thank you for taking the time to drop by. I'm new, remember, so if you have any suggestions feel free to inform me of them, and if I do anything wrong, feel free to add to the permanent chorus of disapproval on my talk page. Special thanks to WaltonOne and Dihydrogen Monoxide for nominating me.
Special thanks to you, not only for supporting me twice, but for supporting me despite my having inadvertently lit the blue touchpaper on this can of worms. (Do cans of worms have a blue touchpaper?) Although in my defence, the situation was already simmering nicely by the time it flared up completely in May.

Hello dear Alison, can I pretty please brazenly steal your Ali-oops (wiki account tracker) page to use for the few accounts I've set up? With regards to stuff and such.
Halò Alison, there appears to have been some kind of terrible mistake, my contribution to the Thief article has disappeared! Upon noticing this I was both shocked and dismayed, having spent much time contributing to that particular article over the past few weeks as I am sure you have noticed from the article history. The user Rollumumadmado has been constantly reverting my contributions so I have had no other option but to engage in battle with him, is has been a tough fight, but I feel it is unfair for him to cheat and call in reinforcements such as yourself. Rollumsmeamnadnndo; if you are reading this, I do not like you and I have snapped our friendship bracelet.
Alison, I would appreciate it if you could remove page protection from the Thief article, so that I may continue to contribute to WIkiedpa, The Free Encyclopaedia and finish my duel with Rollumamasdasdildo.
Thank you in advance, your friend Soup.

Hey coach!
Dear Alison, glad to see you're back in the swing of admin things... great pic btw!! :) If you get a chance, my admin coaching goals are up here. Looking forward to it. I've been doing pushups and eating energy bars for my training regimen! :) ~Eliz81(C) 23:32, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
CSD or keep?
German-Irish looks like a load of rubbish. While there are certainly quite a few such people (I am one), this really does not cut it at all IMHO. Your opinion would be appreciated. Cheers ww2censor 04:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
- I also know a number of German-Irish people, and yeah, it looks decidedly like OR. Suggest you maybe prod it and see what the community thinks? - Alison ❤ 23:34, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- I marked a similar new page- German minority in Ireland- as non-notable the other day and have prodded this one for NN. This is the sort of thing that once it starts, will tend to creep on the basis of "you've got this page, why not this one?". --Rodhullandemu 19:03, 27 September 2007 (UTC)
WikiCup
Would you like to help me and someone else judge a WikiCup, for the editors, you would still be free to enter yourself, but of course you couldn't rate yourself. El-Nin09 20:15, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ummm ... what's a WikiCup? - Alison ❤ 23:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Hee hee
For two hours, I was looking for an admin I knew who wouldn't mind me asking a question, and it turns out, you already took care of it lol. Good job! (And thank you, as well, lol) Ariel♥Gold 22:38, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
- Heh - glad to help :) Looks like yourself and Jmlk17 have it all sorted now, too. Yayy - Alison ❤ 23:29, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
About RFPP
Thanks for clarifying; I didn't think it was worse than usual. Acalamari 23:18, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

One for the road....
Not an ice cream man. I did say two articles, but somehow I've managed to write five since my return. There's a conspiracy to keep the case dragging on as long as possible to make me work, I tell you! One Night In Hackney303 17:51, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you dear
It has certainly been occupying much of my day, lol. That, and trying to clean up the WP:BLP issues with the article, but I really appreciate you protecting it. (Did you notice they found the RFPP and removed it, lol!) Thanks as always, Alison, you're super-duper awesome! Ariel♥Gold 03:04, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- You're welcome :) BTW, you've been doing some awesome work! - Alison ❤ 03:13, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey there. I see you removed the IP block; that may not have been good: they're at it again. Le sigh. — Coren (talk) 03:09, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I did?? Where? It's not in the block log .... - Alison ❤ 03:11, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Ignore me. I was looking at the wrong log and saw you remove the fpp on the talk page and didn't read beyond "Alison". :-) — Coren (talk) 12:31, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I saw your post on the talk page of the Shemale article requesting I read the "horsemeat" article. Do you agree or disagree that my sources provide reason to change the usage of term from "usually" to "sometimes" derogatory? I couldn't quite gauge your opinion from the link you sent me to. Thanks for your time! --Patrick80639 03:30, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I didn't express an opinion, only to point out that the whole thing is done to death at this stage. To be honest, it looks a lot like you're grasping at straws right now and I'm confused as to why you would be so tenacious over so trivial and obscure a point, really. It doesn't look much like you have much documented justification to make a change of that magnitude based on such flimsy sources - Alison ❤ 03:33, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the quick reply. I kept providing sources to defend my position. I guess it did get out of hand after a while but I felt compelled to do so after being accused of being a "single-role account", "silly", and other demeaning remarks. To give you some understanding why I feel strongly about defining the useage of the term, I worked in the adult entertainment industry for about 6 years and have personal friends who are transgendered. Part of me sees it as an affront to not only myslef, but my former colleages, associates, and peers to imply the term and those who use it are always or usually doing so in a derogatory manner. I personally resent such implications, as I am not a biggot nor would anyone who knows me even imagine me being one. I will restrict any new sources I provide to more concrete ones that spell out the useage frequency more clearly, as I now understand what you were trying to say. --Patrick80639 03:46, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think the problem is that you are taking it as a personal affront, whereas you (and all of us) should simply maintain a neutral stance on the matter. Right now, you're digging frantically for references to bolster the idea that the term isn't really all that bad, thus justifying its usage to yourself. My own take on it is that we need to document its common usage, is all. Trans and IS folks I know (including one family member) invariably find the term offensive as it implies maleness, which is something they are generally seeking to avoid. - Alison ❤ 04:41, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Alison. Am I being overly harsh here? Pedro : Chat 08:02, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- Dunno. It's up to you, really. The whole 'bollocks' thing could be viewed as being inappropriate language in an international forum but we both know the colloquial meaning. I'd not dare use it myself in a summary. In my personal opinion, it comes down to whether the editor can be trusted not to abuse the bit & I feel s/he has already got a proven track record there esp. on Commons. I had a short dig through some of the admin logs there, first. Over to you, though ... - Alison ❤ 08:05, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I'm going to sit a while, but might neutral if I see some more convincing argumtns in support. I don't want to scupper an RfA (and I'm not being big headed but I've seen far to many serial "Oppose per Pedro" comments at RfA from editors, which is always disapointing for many reasons). I guess it's a personal thing that I'm only interested in en.wikipedia and not all the other ones. Maybe that makes me bad/lazy/a poor wikipedian I dunno. Hi Ho. Anyways good to interact, I see you name all over the place and I can't recall ever directly working with you! Best Wishes. Pedro : Chat 08:10, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- No probs! Sit tight and see how it all goes. It's not set in stone. I tend to roam around wikis myself these days, having a sysop bit elsewhere. Seen you around (everywhere!) too. Nice to meet up at last ;) - Alison ❤ 08:15, 28 September 2007 (UTC)

Could you have a look at this editor he has been warned for vandalisim before and is doing it on the Bloody Sunday (1920) article or maybe I should assume good faith and he is just pushing a POV but could you have a look at him thanks. BigDunc 12:40, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Alison, I got your mail, and sent one right back. You're quite welcome, it was my pleasure to support your RfA somewhere in the ether. I think I supported you here, too. I'm sure you'll do a great job! Love, Kyoko 14:56, 29 September 2007 (UTC)

Hey Alison, I would appreciate it if you could recommend ONiH and Domer to participate in this. Its been a couple weeks and neither have even attempted to back up their claim. Notice ONiH’s immediate dismissal when I asked him here.. Conypiece 20:17, 29 September 2007 (UTC)
