Hello

I dont mean to bother you but User: AramaeanSyriac is still removing content from the Assyrian People page here[1] . I can see you have reverted it back several times but he still continues to remove content that he claims is his "yourpedia" as you said it earlier. Thanks for the input Ninevite (talk) 04:49, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your note, for fixing the user box (nice image, by the way!) and also for taking my edit in the spirit it was intended! - Ahunt (talk) 14:20, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Your sig

Hi, could you please fix your signature? There seem to be some stray newline characters in the code, and as a result the date part of your sig often goes on a new line and outdents.

(There were also some redundant "</font>" tags, which I've removed.)

Thanks, -- Fut.Perf. 08:25, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

I fixed it- I often wondered why sometimes it would create a new line- I thought it was because of my widescreen display, but it was due to my extra code. DOH! Thanks!

Byzantium under the Heraclians

Hi! Yes you found me, I changed my name because my old one didn't mean much to me. Anyways, do whatever changes you seem fit, even if you have to change my wording. Unfortunately right now I am a little busy, but I will see if I cannot also contribute myself. I've read some parts of it, and it seems to be informative. The style I choose to write an article is one with a poetic twist; learning should be fun not mere citation of facts, despite what some dull academics may think. The Great Aristotle thought that rhetoric was important in philosophy; so what better model for the Greek Empire than the Greek thinker! But by all means, do as you please and I'll assist you when I can. Hopefully we can coordinate and cooperate to produce a fine article.Gabr-el 01:03, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Battle of the Somme

Hi, I notice that you have nominated the Battle of the Somme for did you know. This may be a mistake, but be aware that DYK is only for articles that have been created or expanded fivefold in the last week, which is clearly not the case with this article. For more rules, please see WP:DYK. Lampman (talk) 03:03, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Battles of macrohistorical importance involving invasions of Europe. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Battles of macrohistorical importance involving invasions of Europe (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:15, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

'Byzantine' issues regarding the Byzantine Empire

Slight forgiven about not notifying me about the 'mediation' [2] and I understand why you didn't. I would suggest notifying the others just to say that "by the way, we have the issue again on the mediation page. You don't have to participate, but you are welcome to do so, blah, blah, blah..." It will give Cody less to hang a hat on. I will hang back in the wings and let you run with this. Cody is way out of line and consensus and policy backs you up. In the words of Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet, "Go forth, I will back thee..." Dinkytown (talk) 22:38, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

Mediation Cabal: Request for participation

Dear Monsieurdl/Archive2: Hello, my name is The Wordsmith; I'm a mediator from the Mediation Cabal, an informal mediation initiative here on Wikipedia. You've recently been named as a dispute participant in a mediation request here:

Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2009-11-11/War of 1812

I'd like to invite you to join this mediation to try to get this dispute resolved, if you wish to do so; note, however, it is entirely your choice whether or not you participate, and if you don't wish to take part in it that's perfectly alright. Please read the above request and, if you do feel that you'd like to take part, please make a note of this on the mediation request page. If you have any questions relating to this or any other dispute, please do let me know; I'll try my best to help you out. Thank you very much. Best regards, The WordsmithCommunicate 03:36, 21 November 2009 (UTC)

Tanks

If you're interested in tank images, here's something that could have a chance of passing FPC. Problem is that the tanks aren't identified with any specificity. Come over to my user talk if you're interested.[3] Durova369 18:30, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

Hey there, hope you don't mind me passing through. Given that the Middle Eastern theatre in WWI didn't see many British tanks, and certainly not of the latest design as on the Western Front, what you're looking at is a Mark I-IV tank, although which one specifically I don't know; I'm quite certain it isn't a later Mark. Hope that helps at all, cheers Skinny87 (talk) 19:59, 22 November 2009 (UTC)

War of 1812 Mediation Cabal

Just wanted to let you know I got the block lifted (legitimate use of an alt account) and have added my peice to the mediation - which pretty much agrees with what you have said. Cheers!Deathlibrarian (talk) 01:43, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Greetings, It was recently suggested that WikiProject United States History might be inactive or semiactive and that it might be beneficial to include it in the list of projects supported by WikiProject United States.

I have started a discussion and will contact each of the active members for their comments and input on the suggestion. Please take a moment and add your comments to the discussion or feel free to contact me if you have any questions. --Kumioko (talk) 19:43, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Would you like to help improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to the National Archives and its incredible collection? I noticed you are a participant of the WikiProject Quebec.

The Outline of Quebec was created a few days ago and is under vigorous development. It fills a gap in Wikipedia's set of outlines. It is the 3rd outline to date about a Canadian province/territory.

Outlines form one of the subsystems of Wikipedia's contents navigation system. For more information on outlines, see Wikipedia:Outlines and Wikipedia:WikiProject Outlines.

The goals for the Outline of Quebec is to complete it to as high a standard of quality as possible, and to make it even better than the Outline of Saskatchewan and the Outline of British Columbia.

Once the Outline of Quebec is completed, it will provide an important example to others creating outlines for the remaining provinces and territories of Canada.

Please take a look at the outline to see if you can notice (and fill in) any missing topics. Pictures would also be nice (the rarer and the more interesting, the better).

Thank you.

Sincerely, The Transhumanist 10:30, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
