Disambiguation link notification for October 5

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gadget and the Gadgetinis Episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page YTV (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blocked

Hi Tristan, I am sorry but I had to prevent you from making further edits. You have been changing articles to say things that do not appear to be true, or cannot be shown to be true with references to reliable sources. Also, you have never talked to other editors to explain what you are doing. This is a problem on Wikipedia. Can you please explain what you are doing? Why would it be OK to make the kinds of changes you are? If you can explain what you are doing, or promise you won't make the kinds of changes you have been, your account may be allowed to edit again. Thanks... Zad68 23:18, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Zad68 23:20, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Luitenent Gadget is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

A tag has been placed on David Vadant requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. ...William 14:34, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

General concerns about your contributions

Hi Tristan, I've noticed that you seem to be having difficulty understanding some of the rules at Wikipedia, for example, the ones governing the use of reliable sources, or maybe some of the lesser-known rules, like how flags don't belong in infoboxes. If you are serious about editing here, you might consider asking for a mentor via the Adoptee program.

More pressing, however, is that many of your edits contain significant spelling and grammatical errors, as well as formatting and typographical errors. In these edits you misspelled "Lieutenant", then later created an article on the misspelled Luitenent Gadget. In these edits your write-up under Season 6 contain a number of spelling errors as well as inconsistent capitalization, etc. And there are a variety of problems at the article you've created for And then it Happened.

Wikipedia expects that articles be written in a professional style and tone, consistent with the style and tone of any other professional encyclopedia. Wikipedia editors are told to assume good faith of other editors, and I assume that your intentions are good, but if you are not able to spell adequately or communicate properly, at some point your contributions will be considered disruptive and harmful to the project. If English is not your primary language, you may have more success working on a Wikipedia project in your native tongue. You may also wish to take a look at WP:COMPETENCE to understand why one's abilities are important to being considered useful at Wikipedia. Good luck, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask on my talk page. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:56, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Totally Spies!

Hi Tristan, it appears that you are having difficulty understanding fundamental concepts related to Wikipedia editing, particularly those related to original research and providing reliable sources. Understanding these concepts are crucial to your ability to edit here. I reverted your edits at Totally Spies! for a number of reasons, including the unexplained removal of content (writers/directors, et al from infobox), the unexplained removal of the show's history (as flawed as it may have been), the apparent copy/pasting you did from here, and for the critical reception section you copy/pasted from the same fansite, which is entirely unsourced and makes bold and unsubstantiated statements about critical reception being "mostly positive".

It's okay to make a few mistakes here and there, but you seem to have trouble understanding core principles, for example, that sites like Wikia.com are not suitable as references, and the result is that your edits are damaging existing articles. I've previously given you some advice on where to go for help, but you don't seem interested in taking the advice. I understand that you might be a kid, and kids are welcome to edit, but kids must also be competent editors. This is your last warning that if you submit unsourced content again, or improperly sourced content, you will be reported for administrative intervention. I believe that you want to do a good job, but your execution thus far has not been up to the community's standards. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 07:09, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Zodiak Kids requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.zodiakrights.com/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Image Entertainment Corporation Logo used Since 2011.png

Thank you for uploading File:Image Entertainment Corporation Logo used Since 2011.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 22:37, 28 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, Wgolf (talk) 20:57, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mari Tranior requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Flat Out let's discuss it 23:03, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Books for Boys, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Dogmaticeclectic#Teletoon Original Series, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Hi Tristan. Unfortunately, from what I can see, you are likely to get indefinitely blocked from editing on the English Wikipedia soon, if you continue what you have been doing.
Maybe you need to slow down and be much more careful. Or, maybe you need a mentoring program that would help you see how to edit.
I don't have time for a mentoring program right now, but other editors including User:Rcsprinter123 might be able to do one. What do you think of that? --Demiurge1000 (talk) 20:40, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 4

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of programs broadcast by Disney Channel (France), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Violetta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

The article Hornet Films has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unreferenced article that fails to credibly assert notability of the subject

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hornet Films requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://hornetfilms.com/about.html‎.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing. Many users have attempted to explain to you how things work here, and to get you to edit in accordance with our guidelines, but you have refused to answer their concerns and have continued creating unsuitable pages and making unsourced edits. It seems that you do not currently have sufficient maturity to edit Wikipedia. Please wait a year or two and study the policies and guidelines which govern the site before returning. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. Hi MER-C, FYI, user was indeffed after a trip through WP:ANI over the editor's WP:COMPETENCE. The consensus was to block. One thought was, if the subject is a kid, waiting a couple of years before editing again might improve the quality of their edits. The user didn't participate at ANI in spite of invitations. The fact that they still don't understand why they were blocked, and can't assemble a grammatically coherent unblock request, seems to underscore a competence issue. Or it could just be bargain basement trolling. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:54, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I wish I was not such a stupid kid maybe I wouldn't be so bad if I was so stupid I wouldn't get Blocked if I just did look at the rules and did not copyright but could this convince you know I get it (Before I did not understand what copyright would mean if I put a Source but now I know I put it in my own works how about a example for Image Entertainment Corporation:Image Entertainment Corporation is an Worldwide coproduction corporation that has been Professional in audiovisual, cinematographic and multiplatform projects for almost 15 years. [1] see I put it in my own words like not violationg any Wikipedia rules do you see I changed if not I might as well not be surprised I am just a stupid kid who no one likes and sorry I made up multiple accounts beucase I thought it might show that I really can edit Wikipedia right but I guess not I really am sorry I am just a big stupid kid:(

Decline reason:

Even you must understand that you aren't ready to edit here. It isn't about stupid, but it is about being mature enough to understand the ramifications of your actions. Even if you have the best of intentions, you are causing too many problems. I think you need to wait a year or two, then request to come back. As this is your third request and you haven't been able to fully address the problem at hand, I'm choosing to extend the block to include this talk page.
