The result of the move request was: moved to Bengali language movement. (non-admin closure) JC7V (talk) 08:01, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
Language Movement → Bengali Language Movement – The current title is ambiguous. The proposed title has been the name of the article from 2007 to 2016 after this discussion and is consistent with the title of the related Bengali Language Movement in India article. In 2016 an editor moved the article back to the pre-2007 name. Marcocapelle (talk) 08:19, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support. "Language movement" is a generic term and the Bengali language movement is one among many. – Uanfala (talk) 12:12, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support the Bengali language movement is not known just as "Language Movement". Geeti Sen - Crossing Boundaries 1997 "The Bengali Language Movement of 1952 brought a significant change in the literature of this region, especially in the field of poetry" In ictu oculi (talk) 18:45, 10 November 2018 (UTC)
- Move to Bengali language movement, per MOS:DOCTCAPS (we do not capitalize movement names, unless reliable sources consistently treat them as proper name; cf. years of debate about "the civil rights movement", "African-American civil rights movement", etc., concluding in favor of lowercase). Furthermore, this is a translation anyway, from a language that doesn't even have letter case, so this over-capitalization is against MOS:FOREIGNCAPS. The article text will need conforming cleanup. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 16:45, 12 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support—downcase per our rules. Tony (talk) 00:08, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support downcased to Bengali language movement per Uanfala, SMcCandlish, Tony1, and many sources. Dicklyon (talk) 01:21, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
- Comment: Definitely the letter case should be changed but not sure if it should be moved back. It is probably the most prominent of other movements thus named, i.e., "Language movement" even being the factor for the international UN day. I agree the title itself is ambiguous but that shouldn't be a point to change it though if the majority of sources refer to it as the previous title then it should be changed. Gotitbro (talk) 20:52, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
- Support move to Bengali language movement per above. BabelStone (talk) 10:26, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Bengali language movement → Bengali language movement in Bangladesh – The current title is ambiguous because there in another article named Bengali language movement in India. Also proposing for the article Bengali language movement to be transformed into a disambiguation article. 103.67.156.109 (talk) 19:22, 21 December 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose - One is a widely recognized historical event while the other is an ongoing campaign. IW. (talk) 21:38, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose not all topics are the same. This here is the main topic. The Bengali language movement in India received 2,640 views this year while the Bengali language movement received 115,021 views. Clearly, one topic is the primary topic.Vinegarymass911 (talk) 07:19, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
