Revision as of 08:39, 14 March 2007

This is a list of destinations that Southwest Airlines currently serves (as of March 2007). Also included is a list of codeshare destinations operated by ATA Airlines. Currently, Southwest Airlines operates solely within the United States. Noteworthy is that instead of flying to the principal airport in some larger cities (most notably Houston, Dallas, New York and Chicago), Southwest chooses to use secondary airports or cities to avoid higher landing fees and congestion. The savings are then passed along to the consumer. This practice allows lower fares while gaining access to a high-demand destination.

See Maryland and Virginia for Washington, D.C. service

See Rhode Island and New Hampshire for Boston service
See Connecticut for Springfield service

Service Provided by ATA Codeshare

As a part of Southwest's investment into ATA Airlines, ATA provides service to additional 8 cities as part of a codeshare agreement. While ATA does fly internationally to Mexico, the codeshare with Southwest has not yet extended that far.

See Virginia for Washington, D.C. service
